ianthestampede basically said what I was going to. you're only a kid if you act like one.

Dexter's Lab actually caters more towards older people moreso than for little children anyway; although I'm a little biased about it, since it's one of my favorite tv shows ^_^.

I still watch Arthur and think Pee-wee's Playhouse is one of the greatest shows of all time. My favorite book is The Phantom Tollbooth. My favorite movie is Pee-wee's Big Adventure. 95% of shows I watch are cartoons and I still color in coloring books. Almost all of my shirts have a cartoon character on them (or a band).

So yeah, I'm 20... I don't think you have anything to worry about heh. I probably do though.

Hey, just because you watch those shows doesn't mean you're immature. I'm pretty mature (at least that's what I keep telling myself), and I watch Recess and Dexter's Lab all the time. Nothing beats a funny cartoon.

I still watch cartoons, and I'm 18. You're not considered a kid because you watch cartoons, alot of adults, as proven here, watch cartoons too! Just because you're older, doesn't mean you have to stop watching cool cartoons. And let's face it, it would be pretty boring withou 'em. And remember, wether you're a kid or not is based on age! So that pretty much sums it up.

I got sucked into a lot of those shows because of my little brother, I'd sit down to watch TV with him and end up liking most of what he watched. If you have a younger sibling, then that can explain your love of those shows. And if you don't, well, there's really nothing wrong with watching shows catered towards younger ages. They require little thinking and are delightfully entertaining...what more can you ask for? ^_^

That is, of course, assuming that you're a normal functioning 20-yr old. And that's a pretty big assumption. :D

Well, I'm not sure what you are trying to imply... But I go to college, work, date and go out rather regularly lol. I'd like to think I'm "normal", or at least just this side of it.

In any case, my point was really that if you enjoy those things there is no reason to compromise them because others would think strangely of it. I love doing all those things, as juvenile as they may be and I'm finding there are a surprising amount of people my age into many of the same things (well movies and cartoons wise, maybe not coloring lol).

Oh well, whatever entertains you and doesn't mess up other people's lives works for me. As long as you're mature when it matters, I think you're doing fine. That's more than most people as it is.

A kid is a young goat. FYI.

Anyway, my mother always says that you should never lose the little kid in ya. She's over 40 and I could swear she was only like 25 or so. I watch almost all of those shows, except for power rangers. They just got repeditive. Going on, it doesn't really matter what shows you watch, or what you really like. That doesn't determin if your a "Adolesent Goat" or not. If a person likes those shows, they just like those shows. Not if as they can help it. It is good to have your own opinion. So many teens/young adults are so sheep like it is crazy. They are led around so easily to like what trends or so and so is hot and other stuff like that. They think they have thier own opinion, but they usually don't. They just join in on the bandwagon. "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous little animals."

I think that when a person is old enough to make concious reason, to think what is good for them or not, the feelings and needs and wants of themselves and others, to not let one thing rule their life, to basically take care of themselves without the whole money or legal bit of age. When a person reaches that point, they are no longer a kid. Or young goat. Or in recent years a sheep.

Well, I'll always be a kid at heart, I think, and I'm 23. Most of my friends here are younger than me. I still watch kids' shows and goof around way too much. I think it's good to remain child-like in some ways (as opposed to immature) because it's just more fun. I don't think I'll ever totally grow up, lol.

I go on age to dictate my opinion of those things; maturity is just too damn dynamic. So I have two things, based on their age and the maturity. Personally I don't watch many cartoons, but I've found myself enjoying more and more the adult amine?s (no, I don't mean hardcore porn ones. Just ones with more evolved plots.) from America and Japan... But I still enjoy just sitting in bed on saturdays and watching Saturday Disney until I bother to get up. So personally I think you can believe you are what ever you want to, who cares if you watch and enjoy cartoons. (Some of them are just cool. :P) (But not Arthur. I despise that program!)

I'm 18 and I miss the days when I would play outside and pretend to be the Pink PowerRanger.

I'm still a kid at heart. I really don't want to grow up and I think I want to rely on someone all my life. What's wrong with me? I don't KNOW!

And I still watch Power Rangers and I prefer cartoons to real shows. They are more colorful and appealing.

well, im a kid, lol.. dont know if i can refer myself as a kid, im now 15 not that younger than you, the only different is that you watch these cartoons, while i know them by heart lol, i have watched so much dexters laboratory that you can close my eyes and i will speack the whole show by heart, so with courage the cowrdly dog, the adams fanily, and droppy the master detective hound (and screball squirrel that is...) and many many more )-:... i think its kinda lame, but its just that all i have inmy cartoon network is those shows, and the other channels shows ricky lake all the time and it gives me a headache...

anyway, i dont think it makes you childish, and if it does, what wrong with being a bit childish sometimes?

I honestly don't watch much TV. I think the last show I watched was probably an episode YuGiOh, a few weeks ago.

If you are still a kid, though, is that a bad thing?

*Toys "R" Us jingle plays softly in the background*

Nothing wrong with having some innocent fun. Cartoons are great. Heck, I'd like to make them someday.

I still watch a lot of cartoons, but nowadays I actually read cartoon production credits. Partially because I want to star in a cartoon (vocally), I guess.

And a few Cartoon-Cartoons (Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls) are created with a mixed blend that appeals to adults and kids. Like the episode of Dexter's Lab that told how his parents met. You'd have to remember the 1980s to find that episode funny on a certain level. And the Dexter's Lab short where his parents were playing Scrabble, the dad was caught cheating, and the kids thought their dad was cheating on their mom with another woman.

Mom: What's this letter I found in your pocket?
Dad: I don't know what you're talking about...
Mom: "Passion"?! You did this for passion?!

Anyway, watching cartoons doesn't make you immature. Quoting cartoons for no reason whatsoever makes you immature. :D

I think being mature depends on your ability to decide when and when not to be serious.

Well i'm 16 and I watch a lot of those as well. Some kid in my study hall last year watched blues clues...which kind of angered me because she would turn it on in class. At least I find most of the shows you mentioned entertaining.
