ianthestampede
I was having a discussion with someone about this. She believed strongly in nostradomis's prophecy's(i don't think thats how you spell his name). And the way i percieved his Prophecy's, it seemed like his prophecy's were written for the reader to intepret. So you could take any of his prophecy's and relate them with any event pretty much(thats relevent to the topic). I don't know... How do you people feel about this? Guest Crimson Spider
Chances are, it is. Just how like street psychics are reading from a script for each reading that everyone can relate to. Like that. The bible, however, was written hundreds of years ago and what it says, which is not so reader interpret, is incredibly accurate.

Semjaza
It's Nostradamus and the plural of prophecy is prophecies. Anyway, no, I don't particularly believe them. As you said, most could be twisted to fit quite a few events... but even so, I do find them interesting. Especially whatever people actually apply them to that actually makes some sense. And in terms of the Bible... I don't find it any more accurate than things said by Mohammad. It's all relative really, and honestly a good deal of what people take from the Bible now has been turned around to fit current needs anyway. That said, I really hope this doesn't turn into yet another Bible debate.
TheShinje
I don't think the prophecies are innacurate, The Bible has already fulfilled 3 1/4 of it's prophecies, the chances of that happening by coincidence is unbelievably high, like 1 in a million! As for Nostradamus, I do believe he had some insights from God, his priophecies too, have been startlingly accurate. btw, you don't know how many times this has come up lol, I still remember the first time I poarticipated ina prophecies debate, about this Australian prophet called Indigo Jones who prophecised the Queensland droughts.(it was Queensland right?) For me, these prophets have been too accurate to tell me they're wrong, but even from an Atheistic, or non believeing position, Prophecies can be quite interesting and fascinating just as much. *hopes like hell there's not another religious flaming, sick of them*
