Guest QuickSilver
I purchased this game the other week. Since i am a big fan of the other 2 in the series it was a must have and i have to say this game is great. It is a direct sequel to the first game and it really explains a lot about it. The weapons you get are good, the uzi comes to great use; except for its lack of ammo. This game is just as scarey as the first two and it will please old fans of the series. I also heard that we over in Europe get it before anywhere else, i aint sure if this is true though. The only problems I have with this game is that the graphics are not up to the scratch with the other survival horror games that are about now, and you go a 17 year old naive girl. I also thought that the game would be a lot more challenging but a completed it in about 3 hours.
Semjaza
Did you play the action and puzzle modes on their hardest settings? It made a big difference in SH2. I've not played the game yet... although I do own the demo. It lets you run around as far as you can during a 20 minute time limit. Seemed mostly like more of the same, which isn't bad... I love this series. I'm very surprised at your graphics comment though. SH3 is amazing looking. You can actually turn off that grain filter and see it for what it is... it just looks gorgeous. Even in areas where you can actually see all around you and it's not pitch black. The character models in the game are simply outstanding. I think it's a bit ahead of any other survival horror game out currently (especially with the RE games being mostly prerendered). The only thing I've seen giving it a run for its money so far are Ghost Hunter and RE4 (which is one of the best looking games I've ever seen, to be honest). I'm disappointed to hear it's that short though.
Guest QuickSilver
I jsut thought they could have up the graphic a bit. Because i mostly play on my GameCube and i have kinda gotten used to the brilliant graphics on the remake of Resident Evil. To me there is not a lot of difference between the graphics of this and number to, but other people may think different. No i played it on the normal settings first time around and i have not gotten around to raising the difficulty yet. but i have asked around and some people have clear times of about 7 hours, so it really depends on how could you are. But the agme as great replay value. There is 3 different endings, and there is quite a few weapons to get depending on how you killed monsters during the game. I have also found it weird how when i play the agem during the day, the rooms seems to be a lot darker. But aye that just may be me.
Tommy Vercetti
This game looks amazing, I loved both Silent Hill games and I am expecting great things from the 3rd one. All the story lines change each time which I actually prefer because I find sometimes the Sequels to games, can be not as good as the first ones. The graphics on SH3 look great, I love all the puzzles that you can do. The monsters that you can fight look really good, weapons on all SH games are great as well. RicoTranzrig
I'm definitely going to get this one to add to my small video game library. At first I was partly turned off because the orignal puzzled me (until I read a few plot guides and thought about it), but I love the overall presentation of the game. SH3 looks very detailed so I'm expecting it to be another atmospheric game where you can take everything in as the secrets unfold with superb storytelling.
TheDarkOtaku
I love the fact you get to explore a mall and amusement park. It is creepy just thinking about it. :D I wonder how these areas fit into the story though.....
noodleboy
they game is really good, i played it though i haven't beaten it. i have never played the first one but the second. though i do understand who the man character is. if u know just a little about eh first one u will understand the third graphics i don't mind. they aren't bad but they aren't great. music. it's great they even give u the soundtrack. it's enough to make u happy in those few happy moments that silent hill give u and scared as hell in the rest of the game. can't really say anymore cus i haven't beaten the game... ill get back to u when i do but u should either pick it up as a rent if u have never played silent hill games, or buy it if u have

noodleboy
i like silent hill better because u don't actually know what the hell is going on. i mean for the most part it's normal ppl who somewhere down the line of their life went to silent hill... also zombies get boing after so many times. shoot run dodge, repeat. but the same can be said with silent hill's monsters. in the end i just like silent hill's story better, but resident evil still is a great series

TheDarkOtaku
Just got it, and it seems to be the best installment yet. The graphics are MUCH improved since SH2, even the gameplay was altered here and there. I don't want to spoil too much, so go out and get it. It's worth it! ;)
GrimmFang
I just got SH3 the game is amazing. I like how they brought back some of the creepy music from the first one. To bad I made the mistake of putting the puzzles on hard these are the hardest puzzles I have ever came across so far.
Guest QuickSilver
lol, the puzzles are even challenging on easy. The best and worst bit about the Silent Hill games is the instant kills. You never know when tehy are going to happen so you have to save quite a bit.
GrimmFang
Tell me about it I had one to many encounters with a certain subway train. I also like how they made ammo more limited. The same enemies seem to get stronger as you go through the game as well. I remember some enemies like those things that crawl on the ground used to take 2-shotgun blast but now take about 3 or 4.
