Vicky
I need help. BADLY! My friends know me as the strong, smart, DBZ, figting tpye of girl. That was in primary, but since I left, most of my friends moved to a different school. We stayed intouch, but the still thin I'm the old me... I changed my friend into something I didn't want. She is just like me, mean and all. But I've changed, and I don't know how to break it to them. I used to write about ghost, but now I don't belive in ghost, I moved on to writing about adventure, and then drawing, now I want to move on to romance in my writing, but they will thing 'yuk!'. I don't want to lose them, and I don't want to lose my dream, but what do I do?
Jesus Chicken
I didn't really understand your post very well...but I'll give you all the advice I can. Don't try to be someone you're not. If you have changed and they haven't, it's not something you can pretend hasn't happenned. They will understand, I hope.
Vicky
That' the point....I don't know how they will react. If they don't still think I'm changed, they'll take me as a joke... I want to write something that has ONE bit of kissing in it, but they'll laugh. That breaks me down...
Guest cloricus
Its called growing up vicky. Your friends would have changed too, you don't need to worry. I'm sure they wont take you different but if they do well that?s not very nice of them but there is nothing you can do about it. It's just one of those things. Most people have had the same problem. From my experience it always seems to work out for the best. You might be surprised. (In a good way I mean. :p) -eps-
Alexa
Why do you show them your work If you know they'll laugh at you?
Jesus Chicken
The question is, if you know they'll laugh at you, are they your friends?
Vicky
I don't any more, they tell me to bring one (In or speical meeting place on sunday), but I lie and give them a old one. It's hard...I never used too like moving on, but now I have too, but they won't. I just don't like people laughing.... Yeh, there still my friends. There good friends, they take the laughing as a joke, I don't... I wish they would understand...
eleanor
Lying will get you nowhere . I'm saying this from experience. Don't do it. Well, if they ask you to bring something new, you should first tell them that you're changing, and they're going to have to deal with it. And if they start laughing, in a mean way, then they're not your friends. Friends should accept you as you are, and it wouldn't matter if you wrote about romance or drew. What the heck if wrong with drawing, anyway?!
Vicky
My style... It not DBZ stlye any more, it kinda like manga. Ya know...
eleanor
I'm not trying to insult your friends here (actually, yes, I am trying to insult them) but they have narrow minds. JUST because you don't draw DBZ doesn't mean that DBZ is the ONLY anime ever where violence and action occurs. That. is. stupid. Mangas have action too! I don't know if you're trying to quit action alltogether, but if your friends get mad at you because you stop drawing DBZ....they're most definately NOT your friends. I'm not trying to get you depressed, but maybe they've been using you for your drawings and writings? It happened to me once, so I'm extremely jumpy about it.
Guest cloricus
Um vicky, have you thought that they may find that style a bit "childish" and have expected you to have advanced in your writing style? Besides why take one when you can take a selection of the different styles you write in, that way if there is one they don?t like they just read one they like? -eps-
eleanor
No. I don't think you should just change everything to please your friends. It's their problem. If you really care about them, it would be nice to add something in, but you should never do something you don't want to just to make your friends happy. Even though writing different sorts of genres is very good, you shouldn't force yourself to it.
Vicky
Thankyou...you ust made me think how good of a friend they really are...but still, they should move on. Here's the good thing about them all: Arlene: Nice girl. She's big and I call here big sister, but she says "my brother can draw better then that!". But she still calls me little sister. Simon: Most of the time, he never alughs at my writing, he's okay. He insaults me (As a funny joke.) Dis's me, and I do the same, It's a real laugh! Danielle: Just the best friend. Ryan: Insaults a lot, for real! Laura: Okay, but weird. Hate romance. Josh: Is really selfish. But he does give me creadit. Thanks! I'll go and meet them in an hour and a half. I'll tell you how it goes. I'm going to go with the truth...

Vicky
Just before I go, which story do you think I could show them this time? No life: About a demon in love, but basicly he's to ugly. But a boy raises his sprit. (Poem) The pain: About a guy whose wife died. It's really soppy and sad. Legand of life: Not romantic, but about were all animals die, and clones are created, but the clones kill ever one, then, because all the animals died, there was never a full moon, but on one night there was a full moon and the animals returned and killed the clones... With one? WHICH ONE?
Devil
Phew! Glad you don't think I am what I thought you would think...didn't get a word of that, did you? But, you can post and tell them what happened. They'll be surprised. heh! But I will shot Simon in the head! This will be a good post! Listen what happens!
LostProphet
That happened to me My school district is divided up into Elementary, Middle, High School (9-10th) and Senior High (11th-12th). Well, I went to Jasper High School here, and it goes to 2 Senior Highs (the only HS like that in the district), Plano and Plano West. I ended up going to Plano, while most of my friends either stayed at Jasper (they were Freshman) or Plano West. Best thing to do is to stay in contact as much as possible. I didn't and ended up hanging off people I knew that went to Plano, even if they weren't necessarily friends. If you're that far along, Vicky, find more friends. It the best reccomednation I have
Vicky
Ahhh, what happend when I went...I'll tell it as a story... I walked down to our little place (Out side St.thomas.). Simon, Dan', Arlene were having spiting challenges. I join in, but Ryan wasn't there. Webegan to acted weird and sing this song: Boost all the boosters, Turn up the burners red hot. Stand be for landing, send out the signal Coming a-ready or not! Space ship decending, Space traval faster then light, cruising across the sky, Left earth last saturday night, Already were arviveing on Aquarius five! Yeh, ya get the Idea.It was for our leaver play, I was the Captain, but, I told them, they said fine, it was okay. I was shocked. Simon then got on with his calling game. We had a laugh and Laura told us she was movin'...
