How do you fall asleep?

Usually I fall asleep flat on my stomach and stare at the wall for about 20 minutes then I kick off my blankets and try to sleep on my side then I pull my blankets back up and when I've almost fallen asleep my cat either jumps on my head or knocks my lamp over. *sigh* ^_^;;

I fall a sleep by listening to muisc, J-rock is usually what I fall a sleep listing to. Also watching shadows move around is kinda fun. Those or I talk to my self, but really I'm trying to talk to shadows on my wall. And hey, they move around so I just belive their listing. As far as sleeping habits go I have weird ones.

Well, for some odd reason, I like reaallyyyy cold pillows. I once stayed in a dorm for a model UN thing, and put my pillows in the freezer in my room. There's only one song I'll listen to before I go to bed; "How to Disappear Completley" by Radiohead. It's a great song, but audio nyquil. I'm usually out before the first half of the song is over. And I can't be woken up unless I wake up by myself or if someone kicks me really hard in the face.

A lot of people have said that sound, like the TV or music, helps them to get to sleep or they simply must have it.
Well I'm mostly the opposite of that. I don't need total quiet, just no loud noises. The reason with that is, I'm too conscious of noise while asleep; I can fall asleep with the TV on just fine but, if there's suddenly a loud or very peculiar noise then I automatically wake up. This is why I can't sleep with it on.

With music, again, I can fall asleep ok with it on but, again the noises will eventually wake me up. And even if any of that doesn't wake me up, if it's a song I like, I will anyway.

Most of the time I'm not actually doing any real tiring work so when I go to sleep I'm not that tired. When it's like this for me, all I really do is lie on my bed and at some point, I fall asleep.

And, if I really am tired, the second my head hits the pillow, I'm out like a light.

Now for a particular sleeping habit of mine, that's sort of strange.
It's very easy for me to fall asleep in a moving vehicle, whatever it may be, & ESP. if I'm even the least bit tired. I'm known to do this. We could just be riding somewhere & you could be talking to me & the next thing you'd know, I'd be fast asleep.:sleep: Ofcourse an explanation for this would simply be that, the movement of a car makes me sleepy. :sleepy:

You probably think all of this is sort of weird, but anyway, that's me.

I usually fall asleep listening to some conservative talk show, normally Mike Regan.

It's not that these talk shows are boring; I think that it is the opposite. They get me thinking, and one thing leads to another. Before I know it, I'm asleep.

I normally set my radio to turn off in two hours right before I get in bed so that those annoyingly loud commercials that they play at two in the morning, for god knows what reason, wont wake me.

Hmm, I don't really have a set sleeping pattern to be honest

Sometime's I play on my GBA SP until I get really tired and doze off, sometimes I read a book, have a smoke, watch some tv, anything really

Heck, sometimes even after sex

At one time there was a set sleeping pattern to me though, usually I would just listen to music before I fall asleep, that was pretty long ago though
