What was the coolest school trip you've ever taken? My school does a lot of school one. In 7th grade, we went to Mohican (it's a camp about 3 hours away from where I live, we went canoeing and had a hoe down,no doubt they MADE me dance w/ the smelly fat kid!) and this year we went for 3 days to washington D.C. and it was awesome~! It was funny tho, cuz when we were touring one day (all it was was tours and restaurants,oh,and the Hilton we stayed at,but all the workers were black) anyways, this guy had a low voice and EVERYONE except the busdriver fell asleep!hahahaha,it was great......anyways,share your memories!hehe

BTW:if you want to see a pic of me and my friends on the D.C. cruise, I'm gonna post it in the picture forum.:drunk:

Well we don't take many field trips anymore. I went on two this year which were fun. The Science center and a play. When I was younger we went on them alot. More so in Elementry school than Middle school though. I went to 6 Flags when I was in 7th grade. It was fun but cold because it bagan raining. It wasn't the best I've had though. I enjoyed them more in grade school because I was younger and the smallest things seemed so fun. ^_^ I remember going to camp aswell, In 6th grade. I absolutely hated it... >.< It was early September, about a week before my birthday. Camp Mi-Bro-Bi. It was something all 6th graders had to do.

My brother was suppose to go to D.C. last month but they cancled the trip completely because of the war.

My school system doesn't take very many field trips anymore. I guess it causes to much concern or something.

My 6th grade year had to have been the best school trip we had. The whole 6th grade went to a camp called Wild Wood and stayed there the whole week Monday-Friday. It was an absolute blast! There was team competitions and stuff like that.

I think highschool should do that, its a nice stress reliever...

But yeah sadly our class was the last class to ever do it. Apparently it costed to much or something.

I'm completely out of High School now, so I can't say I'm gonna take a bunch of field trips anymore, but I did kinda go on when at the end of my Junior year. It wasn't for school in general, more for band. We went to New York city and went and saw just about everything; from Broadway to Ground Zero to Battery Park and Ellis Island. Great times we had in New York.

Alright school trips eh? Well none of the school trips i've been on really stick out in my mind. On the other hand I was going to go to Toranto with the school band. We had been planning a trip there for over a year. We paid around $515 each and we were all excited about going. When it came time to go there were a lot of people in Toranto with SARS (well like 100...not really a big risk and I still would have gone). The band director decided that we shouldn't go. This angered me though because now we can't get all of our money back. We should be getting a check for half the money sometime soon though so I guess it's better than nothing:rolleyes:.

I know what you mean. Our trip to New York, one we had been planning in advance of 9/11, was almost cancelled because of that very same incident. There was supposed to be a band competition in New York when we went, but it turns out that we were the only ones to show up; all other bands cancelled because of the bombings. Even though it was almost a year after, all other schools cancelled and left us with no competition for the first place trophy :D Oh well, it was still fun, and thank God we didn't cancel this trip; it would've ben $900 down the drain to who knows where.

The coolest one that I have ever been on was actually just yesterday, June 11th, 2003. My 8th grade class went on a field trip that was so awesome. I live near the Baltimore area so we went down to the Inner Harbor (Chesapeake Bay), and took a trip to Annapolis on a boat, across the bay. It was so fun. There was a D.J. and all this other stuff. I freaked with like 8 girls too. It was amazing. We also got to walk around Annopolis. There was this skate store called "Evolve," where they let you skate in the store. It was amazing. Then we took the boat back to the Inner Harbor and took a bus ride back to school and got picked up by our parents.

All together, it was like an 8-9 hour trip. It was worth it though. Everyone had a great time.

Well, this year my school also had a camping field trip, but I didn't attend. I stayed at school and did practically nothing but roam the campus (because it's in like the middle of some woods) with my close friends.

So I guess that my best field trip would have to be in 6th grade when we went to six flags. It was alot of fun.

the last school trip I went on was to see a group of performers act out Hamlet, which was alright. that happened sometime into the first couple of months of school. but the really awesome trips were with the marching band. we went to DisneyWorld and Universal Studios in April over spring break, and crap was it fun! I think we might be going to DisneyWorld again my junior year, unless the location changes. our band director said he was thinking about having us go to DC, but pretty much everybody was against it. amusement parks are more, hey, amusing! but we'll see.

went to quebec for a week. pretty fun. then our law class visited MCI Shirley (medium security prision). Those were pretty fun. A few people got tattoo's and piercings in quebec, they had a bong shop. That was pretty interesting.

I haven't been on a school trip since my senior year in high school, but they were always pretty enjoyable. I was a part of the "Partners in Art" program, and what we did, was basically visit local elementary schools and work alongside the kids with their projects.

Some of them were pretty shy, which was understandable, but it was pretty easy to identify with them once I found the right approach and common interests (i.e., they found out that I could draw The Rock from WWE perfectly). From that point on, we really had a lot of fun together. I'm a big kid, so it wasn't a far stretch anyway. :wigout:

The only other normal field trip that was memorable, was our visit to Edgar Allen Poe's house. His basement, in particular, was super creepy. I wanted to rip open his floor boards and look for a heart but I don't think we were allowed to....

My previous school had the best trips. But due to the budget crisis, we had about 2/3 of our trips taken away at my current school. - .-'

The best school trip I've been on is probably the trip to the Animal Reserve. We actually got to feed Emus, Giraffes, Zebras, Deer, Camels, and a few others. It was really exciting, since we got to hold out buckets. After the feeding tour, we got to go feed the baby animals with milk bottles. They were so cute! ^^

Next to that, I'd have to say the trip to Six Flags Astroworld. We got to pick our groups, and go off without a teacher or chaperone. As long as we got back to the entrance on time, it was alright. It was really fun, since we tried going on all the rides in the park.

In year 5 we went to Sydney, and in year 6 we went to Canberra. They're the only school trips that have ever happened while I've been at school. Sydney was crap, and Canberra wasn't worth the money. So basically, they were both ****.

There's nothing that happened on the trips worth mentioning.

i don't really have a faveourite trip but i'll tell you about my most recent trip to Muravonside (aka a country park)

well to start off we got told to pretend that we were spacemen (that was very hard for all of us :p) and that we had to work as a team in order to win all of our games.

1st game:we didn't do to well at this game cause the team didn't really know who was the leader and stuff so we kinda acted on our own.

2nd game:our team did very well in this game

3rd game:ah...well...i didn't really like this game cause we were blindfolded and got told to follow a cable that was in front of us. and the reason i didn't like this game was because i never saw those 3 trees :p

I have only ever been on one school field trip and that was a 3 day camp at some cruddy place in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing to do except swim in this dirty gross lake ewww, or go on this thing called 'The Confidence Course'. It was this obstacle course thingy that was way up high in the trees, it was so unsafe, one dude fell off and broke his leg! So me and my friends just played on our gameboys the whole time!! Major waste of time.

Hmmm, the best school trip I went on was quite possibly my freshman year in high school(back in 1996) when we(the high school band) went to Disney World. We went to Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Typhoon Lagoon. We also went to a place called the Arabian Nights(that place wit all them friggen horses.). It was alot of fun. Got to hang out wit my best friends at the time, and got on alot of rides and such. But I'm tellin ya, our day at Universal Studios was quite possibly one of the greatest days I've had in my life. Especially goin to see Terminator in 3D. That thing was just too awesome. I wish I could go and see it again. Too broke to go see it now though. :(

But that was probably the best school trip I went on. Sure, we had to perform in a competition and all that jazz, but it was still an awesome trip.
