Taken from the Journal of the Recorder Abbot Jerchio
We have just laid our Abbey Warrior Triss to rest. It is a sad time but we also have much time for rejoice. We have found a family of assorted dibbins living in a tree home thier guardian had built before the poor beast past away. The scout party we sent out to bring them back to the Abbey. It included Skipper and our own Queen Jerine of the squirles. We have been preparing a feast and I must get to it. Remember that everyone is always welcome to the Redwall Abbey.

Hilder sat quietly under the window from the kitchen. He was planning to steal one of Brother Keik's pies that he would sit out on the window to dry. Just as he was about to jump up and grab it Abbot Jericho appeared and tapped Hilder on the shoulder.
Jericho: Checking on the pies Hilder?
Hilder just about fell flat on the floor.
Hilder: Yes Zir. I thought'd that I'd seened a birdie swoop down and grabb it!
Jericho: Good I'm glad we have a great guard here watching the wonderful pies the brothers and sisters have prepared.
Hilder watched the Abbot leave then he scampered off to tell the others the bad news.

Rip (short for Rip-Tide) sat in the apple tree overlooking the North part of the Abbey. He was older than the rest of the Dibbuns, so he didn't speak in kiddish language, but they were his friends. Joined by other Dibbuns, he started picking apples from the tree and tossing them into little baskets on the ground. Rip climbed to the top of the tree to see if he could spy on any of the Abbey dwellers. Not too far from him, Rip saw a small animal running out of the Great Hall towards them. Rip couldn't tell who it was. He squinted and could barely make it out.
Who is it?came one of the small squirrels from underneath the tree.
I dunno?replied Rip. He squinted harder.
Oh! It's Hilder! And coming in fast! yelled Rip down to the other animals.
Hilder ran until he got to the apple tree. He started talking, but he was panting so hard from all of the running that he just spoke in mumbles. Rip jumped down fromt he apple tree and stood in front of Hilder.
Take a rest my friend. That was a long run. said Rip to Hilder.
Hilder slumped down in the shade of the tree, wiping his forehead.
Rip confronted him.
Now, what were you trying to tell us?

A distance away from the abbey in Mossflower wood, the scout party continues the search for the dibbuns.
"Skip, whats wrong? You'v barely spoken a word sense we started off at Redwall."
Skipper looked up at the Squirle queen who was jumping on the branches of the trees, hoping to get the first veiw of the dibbuns.
"It's not like you to be so quite." She added in.
Skipper put her eyes back in front of her and smiled. "Can't a beast have the chance to shut their trap every season or so?" She asked, chuckling
Jerine wasnt satisfied, Skipper was never quite, unless vermin were about and such. She hopped down from the tree landing neatly beside the otter and began to exchange words with her.
"Whats wrong with you? You'r hiding something from me, you old water dog." She said elbowing Skipper in the ribs playfully. "Come on, whats going on in that their water logged head of yours?"
Skipped kept her pace going. Why was she like this? She wasnt really sure herself, But she didn't want to worry the squirle.
"Who are you calling old? Heh, Im much younger than you." Skipper just smiled and started to pick up her pace. "Enough chattin', lets find these little scamps, Abbot Jerchio told me e'd have a pot of Hot root Soup waiting for me when I got back." She started into a small jog, "I think its just up ahead."
Jerine took her mind off the subject and scampered back up a tree to see if she could spot the dibbuns. After passing up Skipper she spotted a small clearing where only one solitary tree was. And around lay the little dibbuns. Jerine jumped back to the ground to see Skipper right out side the clearing. Jerine noticed she was frozen still. Then she under stood why. Slowly approaching the dibbuns were 2 ferrets, a rat, and a weasle.
Skipper wispered one word. "Vermin..."

Kallie sat the last pie on the edge of the window. She rubbed her sore paws together. She walked out of the kitchen and saw her little sister comeing towards her.

Kallie: Hello sister.

She grabbed her sister when she came close to her.

Kallie: I thought you where with Rip and the other dibbuns.

Her sister shook her head no. Kallie smiled. She put her sister down.

Kallie: Well let's go see what Rip and the other dibbuns are doing....

Hilder stood up and started to talk.
Hilder: I could notta get no pies. Abbot Jeko find me! he calla me a good pie watcha!
Rip smiled at the younger dibbun.
Rip: Don't worry about it Hilder. You are just gonna have to wait for the feast.
Hilder turned around and before taking off again said
Hilder: I gonna getn us a pie! It'n gonna be the biggerest pie eva!
With that he ran towards the kitchens to see what was done. When he got into the kitchen he was surprized by all the different dishes sitting out. he spied a box of crystalized fruits and he helped himself stuffing them in his habbit pocket. Then he continued to where the turnip and beetroot pies were cooling. he swiped a piece and continued moving to the Apple Pies. He once again swiped a piece and continued on. He then got to the target. The giant Maple and Mint Pies he saw earlier. He got a stool and grabbed up the pie. He got to the door and was making his way out of the kitchen when Abbot Jericho saw him.
Jericho: Is that a walking pie?
Hilder: Yes I am a waking pie! Letn me wak in peace!
Jericho: All right. Please don't hurt me!
Hilder giggled at how silly the Abbot was falling for the walking pie thing. He continued out to the path where he started to run for the orchard seeign he was home free.

Sakura walked around Redwall.

Everyone greeted her friendily.Sakura sighed and put her hands into the sleeves of her rich blue habit.

She walked out into the Courtyard and was bathed in rich golden sunlight. Her fur showed the rich chocolate color that was hidden in darkness.

Sakura saw the dibbuns playing with Hilder.Sakura chuckled and walked over.Sakura ruffled a dibbun's fur before walking over and sitting under the tree the dibbuns were playing around.

After a while Sakura got up and said goodbye before heading the CavernHole(Is that what it's called?) and sitting with the little dibbuns that were young and didn't like playing around so much.Sakura played around with them for a while before leaving again.Next sakura headed to the kitchens to help Friar Kiek.Sakura was a good cook and Kiek enjoyed her help and gave her some food at the end of the help.Sakura bit into one of the warm pasties and headed the cellar to help the cellar keeper and got a beaker of Strawberry Fizz for the work.Sakura drank and ate and headed before heading to the Gatehouse and resting on her bed from tiring day and fell asleep.

Skipper pulled out her Sling and stones and prepared them for fire. Jerine had sneeked over to the other side of the clearing. Skipper slowly began to swing the sling over her head until it became a blur to the eye. She watched carefully, she had to wait for the right moment....
"Crack!!" The ferret closest to the dibbuns fell to the ground, completly unconsious. Skipper jumped into the clearing, showing her self to the remaining vermin.
"Ello, Im Skipper, I noticed you 4 sneeking up on these little scamps and decided that it wasn't very fair to do so unless their awake. So, unless you want to end up like your friend over there, I would get going and come back later." Skipper smiled at the remaining 3, knowing that they wouldn't take what she said litely.
The three sneared at her, but then it turned into laughter. The weasle took a few paces forward. What an ugly site he was. His fur was mud brown, and it was all matted, he had a huge scar running crooked down his chest and wore a patch over his eye. He smiled wickedly and his yellow teeth seemed to shine in the suns glowing rays.
"Do you really think a Sling swingin' Water hound, like you, could beat us three trained warriors?" He said with a dirty grin, "Thats a nice looking stick with a knife you got there..... let me take off your paws for ya', and maybe i'll take your paws with me..." He sneered eyeing the glaive strapped to Skippers back.
Skipper pulled out her glaive and held it a defencive stance. The Rat and remaining ferret started to approach. Skipped noted that the weasle seemed to be the leader of the party the group.
As the two vermin closed in on her Skipped suddenly looked up at the trees and yelled, "Look out!!" The rat looked, and the last thing he saw was was the queen of Squirles holding a dagger before his eyes clouded over. The ferret jumped back to where the one that was unconsious was, but now he was regaining consious and began to heave himself up.
"You'll have to take care of both of us." Jerine siad standing next to Skipper.
To their surprise, the weasle smiled at them, and began to laugh. "so... The squirle decided to join us?" He laughed.
Skipper was a bit surprised that he had known She had been in the trees, but why had he not spoke of it before? Skipper and Jerine could already tell that these wern't your normal vermin.

Sakura was awakened by a knock at the door. She yawned and got up and headed to the door.At the frame stood Skipper and Jerine.
Sakura saw that they weren't here for a normal visit by the looks on their faces.

Sakura:What's wrong Skipper?
Skipper:Today some dibbuns were playing and some ferrets attacked.Queen of the Squirrels came to help but they already knew she was there but had never said anything.

Sakura thought hard.

Sakura:we have to be careful now.Don't let dibbuns go outside the walls at any cost.I'll alert Abbot and he can announce it at the dinner tonight.I think we need to post some guards outside the walls now and I will be on guard at all times of the day except at nights.

Skipper nodded and thanked her and apologising for coming when she was asleep.Sakura brushed it off saying the Abbey's more important than I am.

Sakura sighed and sat on her bed quietly. She got the Sword of Martin and left the gatehouse and walked to the main building.

Soon she found Abbot Jerchio and told him of the problem.Abbot nodded and thanked Sakura and walked off.Sakura stood around the courtyards waiting in case anything happened.

Sakura had been so taken a back by the news Skipper had reported, she hadnt even noticed that the feast was almost complete. Almost every beast in Mossflower was outside, from little babes to the oldest brothers and sisters whos time to leave would be coming soon. A huge table was set up, The friar and his helpeds dashed back and forth bringing out delisious treats and meals. Candied Chestnutts, Turnovers, Scones, October ale, Strawberry Fizz, Salads, A huge pot of Hot Root Soup, and much more was coming. The feast would soon start.

Up in the infirmiry, two small dibbuns rest peacefully. A hedghog and a Squirle. Soon they will have their first taste of Redwall abbey.

Jerine looked at her kingdom from the top of the castle. She looked at beauty that is and will be. She looked around at the villages that was there. She was glad to be part of it. She went back down and the children that lived in the castle were playing warriors and pirates. She patted their heads and went on. She went to the General of her army and asked for a report.
"What is the status of our land?" Jerine asked.
The General replied. "Well, your highness, all is well. No one is fighting only small families are arguing and Bloddwrath is no where to be seen. Neither is any of our old enemies."
"Good, let's keep it at that and give me reports every few moments. I don't want to be worried." With that she left and trailed off to the kitchen.

Aelas (that's what the rest of the dibbuns call her. Her real name is Aeslia) was in the apple tree with the other dibbuns when they saw Hilder run up, giggling to himself.

Aelas: "Watcha got, Hilder?"

Hilder: "Whatn it look like? It a pie! Abbot Jeko amost catched me, but I too smart. Him thought I be a waking pie! Heheheh! But thatn not all I hear. I got arwful bad news."

All the dibbuns jumped down from the tree to stand beside Hilder as he whispered to them.

Hilder: "We not allowed into Mossyfolwer Woods anymore. Some likkle dibbuns were almost catched by vermin!"

All the dibbuns groaned. "Mossyfolwer Woods," as they called it, was one of their favorite places to go when they got bored.

Rip: "Awwww! Where are we supposed to hide from Badgermum now when she tries to give us baths?"

All the dibbuns groaned again. They dreaded baths more than not getting desserts at supper.

Aelas: "Norra baff! The bubbly suds go up my nose and inna my eyes."

She drew the short wooden sword that Sakura had carved for her a few weeks ago that looked like Martin's Sword.

Aelas: "Iffn they scared of nasty vermin, we show them! We kill alla vermin, and then Abbot Jeko and Badgermum will say 'Why, what strong dibbuns we haff! They can go into Mossyfowler Woods anytime they want.'"

Hilder: "Yeah! Then they say 'And to reward you likkle dibbuns, you get to haff alla pies and candied scones you can eat. And no more baffs!' Easy as that."

The dibbuns kept talking excitedly to themselves as they began to eat the pie, but saving a bit of room for the desserts at the feast.

Skipper walked up the spiral stair case heading to the infirmary. Abbot Jerchio had asked her to bring down the 2 new dibbuns from Mossflower wood.
She slowly opened the door incase the two were still asleep. She pocked her head in and peered around. The little squirle was still asleep, but the hedghog was wide awake. The little dibbun sat, frightened, in the corner of the room.
Skipped walked slowly towards him, not wanting to scare the little beast. "Ello, whats a spike ball like you doing over in this corner?" She asked sitting down infront of him.
The little hedghog shuddered and hid his face in his paws. He started to curl up into a little ball.
"Ar- are yous a goin to eatums me?" He mumbled still shaking.
Skipper started to laugh at the little dibbun. "Eat you? Of course I wont eat you, All them spikes of yours would choke me to death." The little hog was confussed, he poked his head out and stoped shaking. Skipper picked him up, carefull not to touch his spikes.
"This is your new home, Redwall abbey. Im taking you and your friend outside to have a big feast." Skipper told the little hog.
He smiled and acted as if had never been scared.
"Oh, ya! A feast, ima weally ungry." He jumped out of Skippers arms and ran over to the bed and began shaking the squirle. The little squirle soon woke up and listened to what the hog told him.

"A feastest! A feastest!" They cheered skipping around. Soon enough, the new dibbuns were perched on each of skippers sholders as she walked them outside to the yard where the feast was being held.

Danren or Dan to his friends, was lounging on top of the wall. He was a young squriel, just a few seasons out of being a Dibbun. He was happy to finally be treated like an adult, and was simply enjoying himself on top of the wall. He looked down onto the Abbey grounds, smiling as he watched Skipper caryry the dibbuns outside, and sit at the large table.
"Hmm.. should probablyy go get some of that food myself..."He thought. He bounded down the stairs, taking them two at a time, before landing adroitly, and he staartd walking over to he feast.

Within a few minutes, the pie had vanished completely. Well, almost. There was still traces of it on the dibbuns' paws and snouts. Rip looked up just in time to see Skipper come out carrying two dibbuns.

Rip: "'Hoy! Who are they? I've never seen them in Redwall Abbey before."

Aelas: "They musta be the dibbuns that were out in Mossyfowler Woods today."

Hilder: "Let's go talk to 'em. Imma sure that theym musta been reeeeaaaally bored up inna firmary all day."

Skipper had just set the two dibbuns down when they walked up.

Hilder: "Hi! What's your names? Mine's Hilder."

Hedgehog: "Siskle. And thisa is Kitra."

Rip: "I'm Rip."

Aelas: "And I'mma Aelas."

The dibbuns talked happily as they walked over to the table. They had just sat down when Badgermum came up from behind them. She didn't look too pleased, either.

Badgermum: "There you are! Sister Kallie was just telling me about how her pie went missing. Then Abbot Jericho told me a tale about how he came across a walking pie. Would you dibbuns know anything about it?"

Hilder: "Ummmm.....No?"

Badgermum: "Really? Then just what, pray tell, is that all over your paws and faces?"

Aelas: "Ummmm.....Noffing?"

Badgermum grabbed them by their ears and hauled the wailing dibbuns towards the Abbey.

Badgermum: "Now go in and wash up! When you come out to eat, I want to see clean and crumb-free paws and faces."

After a few minutes, the solemn-faced dibbuns came out of the kitchen and showed their paws to Badgermum, who briefly nodded approval.

Badgermum: "Good. Now, Rip, Hilder, Aeslia, go sit down and stay out of trouble!"

They sat down next to Siskle and Kitra and wrinkled their noses in disgust.

Hilder: "Awwww! Now I smell like icky soap! Bleh!!"

Aelas: "Anda next time she say my name wrong, I'mma gonna make her washa her face and paws until theys smell like soap foreva! My name is Aelas, norra Aeslia!"

The feast was a big hit. Everyone ended up stuffing their faces all night. Rip, Aelas, and Hilder became friends with the new Dibbuns, Siskle and Kitra.

Rip: Yummy! This Hot Root Soup is heaven on earth!

He stuffed his face with the stuff until some of it got caught in his eyes. Rip started screaming, as if he was being murdered.

Rip: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone turned from their conversations to stare at the otter. Some laughed some rushed over to help. Rip stumbled out of his chair and slipped backwards and fell into the pond. Siskle and Kitra seemed to enjoy it, and some form of entertainment. Hilder and Aelas ran over and looked down into the murky depths of the pond.

Badgermum: Nobody panic! Skipper!Skipper! Now where did she get too?

Skipper was playing ring around the rosie with some dibbuns until she noticed the giant badger calling her name.

Skipper: Yes Badgermum? I'm right here!

Badgermum turned around to see the otter trying to push little squirrels and voles off of her.

Badgermum: Skipper! Rip fell into the pond. You need to go in their and save him!

Skipper rushed over and looked into the water to check out the conditions.

Aelas: Can't Rip just swim back up? I mean, he is an otter.

Skipper: I'm afraid not. The water is murky enough, and the sun as already gone down and the darkness doesn't help either. He can hold his breath for a long time, but we need somehow to get some light down there so I can see him.

Rip was stuck. somehow he had gotten his legs caught in some very strong seaweed and he couldn't get himself free. He tried to bite it off, but it wouldn't work. He was fine on air, but he couldn't see a thing.

Rip(thinking): How am I suppose to get out of this? And why aren't they coming to save me? Surely they did see me fall in? Or atleast heard me. Right?

Well Rip tried to think of a plan to get free, he felt something smooth keep on rubbing against his back. He had no clue what it was, and he was starting to get scared.

Rip(thinking): What is that? Man this is freaking me out! And the darkness doesn't help that either.

Rip still felt something rubbing against his back. Reaching for his dagger, made out of a shark's tooth, Rip stabbed whatever was rubbing against him over and over.

Rip(thinking): I think it is just some more seaweed.

Rip felt some large object or animal going berserk in the water. Thinking quickly, he used his dagger to try and get himself free from the seaweed, but in a split second, something nailed him in the stomach sending him flying down through the water. Unfortunatly, this also sent his dagger flying the opposite direction. Moving around trying to grab onto something, Rip landed on the floor, his head banging onto a large rock, and then becoming unconscious...

Everyone watched anxiously as they saw air bubbles float to the top of the surface. The dibbuns, however, didn't understand the situation too well.

Aelas: "What's Rip doin' taking a baff atta time like this?"

Siskle: "Maybe it'n be a new game?"

Hilder: "I dunno....Abbot Jeko doesn't look like he's having much fun wiff the game."

Aelas: "Neiver do anyone else...."

They watched as a mole came running from the Abbey carrying a torch.

Mole: "Burr! Hurr's the torch you'm be wantin', Mizz!"

Skipper: "Thanks. Badgermum, hold it right here while I dive in."

After that, she jumped in the murky water, near where the last little air bubble floated to the surface.

It seemed as if the water flew past her when she dove in. The water was still dark and murky, but she could make out objects close to her thanks to the light. She swam a distance down keeping a sharp eye out for any sign of Rip. She saw a small object starting to sink. She quickly grabbed it and reconized it as Rip's dagger.
"Uh oh, This isnt good....." She dove even deeper hoping to find him. She had always had a special something with Rip. She had found him in the woods when he was a little babe and partly raised him. When it came to being an otter.

She came to the floor on the pond and was careful not to touch the bottem. The mud could suck even the strongest otter under. She started to feel around. A paw, a tail, anything that would be a part of Rip. Suddenly, she felt something bump into her tail. She spun around and it was Rip. He was unconsious and had been floating just above the floor of the pond. She grabbed him around his middle.
"Thank the seasons your alright, you little scamp." She thought. She began to swim up when something huge swept infront of her. She stoped right before running into it. She couldn't make out what it was, she was down so deep that the light from the mole was next to nothing.

She started to go around it, but was hit sharply in the stomach. Air pored out of her mouth from the blow and she started to drift towards the bottom again.
"It's keeping us down here!" Skipper relized. It was going to let Rip and her drown down in the pond and then, well, most likely eat tham after their dead.

Skipper stayed still, recovering from the blow and searching around for a way past the creature. From what she could barely see down in the pond, there was no clean escape. She would have to force her way threw. She glanced down at Rip. He needed air and he needed it fast.

Skipped pulled out Rip's dagger and pushed off a near by rock heading strait for the creature. She wouldnt let it fool her this time. She could see the object approacher with all of its speed, determend to keep its pray at the bottom. Right when It was about to make contact, Skipped floated slightly upwards and sank the dagger into the creatures back. It hadnt seen it coming, so it did what any large water creature would do. It jerked around wacking its tail in all directions. Skipper pushed off heading for the surface and felt the sharp sting of its tail whip her side.
As she approached the surface, the light became clearer. She looked behind her to see if the thing was following her. It was, and she could clearly see what it was now. It was the biggest fish she had ever seen. It was at least 7 to 8 feet long! Skipped swam with all her might.
"Splash!" She broke surface and rolled Rip into the grass. Everyone seemed to sigh with relief and some even cheered. Skipped began to get out of the pond when something grabbed and her and she was dragged back under into the murky depths of the pond........

Sakura had watched worriedly at what had happened and decided to take action. She grabbed the hilt of the sword and unsheathed the blade of Martin the Warrior. She took a deep breath and leapt into the pond.

As Sakura started to Sink to the bottom she tried to adjust her eyes to the darkness.Sakura saw a shape of a large fish and at the tail dragging behind was an otter.Sakura quickly swam to the fish and grabbed onto it's tail and saw Skipper. She had gone unconsious.'Hold on Skip' Sakura thought. She plunged her sword into it's tail and the fish released the death grip.Sakura quickly grabbed Skipper's paw and paddled to the surface.Sakura was running out of air fast and it was a long paddle to the surface. The fish swam at Sakura trying to attack her but Sakura slapped it away with the flat of her blade.Sakura clawed to the sides of the pond and began to climbwith the Sword of Martin in between her teeth and Skipper's paw in her left hand.Sakura could see the light and swung hard with Skipper throwing her onto the surface and climbed faster keeping a firm grip around the blade.

Sakura burst to the surface and she rolled onto her back dropping the sword from her jaws and gasped big lungfuls of air. They all backed away from the pond and went on with the feast.Sakura layed under a tree still panting with the great Sword of Martin at her side.

Skipper walked over to Sakura, deciding to leave the excitment of the feast and rest a little. She took a seat next to the warrior.
"Thankyou," Skipper said. "That fish would av' been eaten me now if you adn't of helped me." She stretched out her limbs and layed back against the tree watching the little dibbuns, making sure nothing happened to them.
"You would have done the same for me and any other creature here. So it's nothing big...." She glanced over at Rip. He had been in a small state of shock from what had happened. Skipper had been noticing it as well.
Skipper stood up and stretched. She stood stilll for a moment and then headed over to the table where Rib and the other dibbuns were.

Jerine appeared into the kitchen and found that the little rascals were eating the candied scones again. She shook her head and the General came by as she came out.

General: Queen Jerine. There is news that you are to attend at RedWall Abbey. Would you go?
Jerine: Why of course I would. Tell Athro the Hawk to be here. I am going.

The General nodded and Jerine got ready for her trip to RedWall. RedWall was one of many places that she loved. Most of her friends were there and she loved the people, especially the dibbuns. Oh, how wonderful they were. When Athro got to the castle, she got on his back and they flew off. They flew over many forests and then saw an abbey full of joy. She came upon it and Athro flew down. When he landed, the dibbuns ran screaming. She dropped down and was greeted by....

Rip walked away from Aelas and Hilder towards the orchard. Everyone was at the feast, but Rip went to the opposite part of the abbey, wanting to be alone. He layed out underneath a large peach tree and just thought. Thought about himself. Thought about that horrible encounter with the fish monster, and thought about his parents. Had anyone known his parents. Who were his parents? And would he ever meet them? Maybe, one day. He knew not to believe this. They were dead, and there was nothing he could do to change it. Rip turned around to notice some dibbuns walking towards him. All Rip wanted was to be left alone for a while. Rip looked up and saw the belltower.

Rip: There! That is where I can be left alone.

Rip knew that the belltower was off limits to dibbuns, but he was older then them. The elder's wouldn't care. He ran towards the belltower. There was a door. He opened the door and walked inside. There were tons and tons of stairs. He quickly climbed them and came to the top, overlooking the whole abbey and part of the giant MossFlower Wood. He walked over and sat next to the bell of Methuselah. He had heard stories of Methuselah, how we was a wise and great mouse, who you could always go to for advice. Rip wished that Methuselah was alive, but he knew that Methuselah had lived whenever the abbey was first built. He turned towards the bell and closed his eyes.

Rip: Methuselah, please help me find out who I am. I need to know. The past few days it has bothered me, being an orphan. I want to know my parents. I know that is impossible, but please, if you can help me with any of my problems, come to me and show me the answers...

Rip opened his eyes and turned around rapidly, hearing footsteps coming up the stair case towards the bells. He quickly hid behind Methuselah's Bell.

Voice: Is anyone here?

An odd voice had come. Rip did not dare look for fear of being caught in an off limit place and get in trouble. Rip held his breath for fear of being heard and waited to see if the person would leave.

Voice: Well, ok..

Rip heard the person slowly climb back down the stairs and out of the belltower. Rip sighed in relief.

Voice2: Psssss.. hey otter!

Rip turned around in a flash, his dagger held out ready to strike. Rip saw a a black crow by one of the bells. He had a chain wrapped around his right leg and a patch over his left eye.

Crow: I heard what you were saying. That is a sad story, but I know where you can find your parents.

Rip was cautious at first then decided he could trust the crow.

Crow: Yeah, just come with me and I will show you. They are waiting for you on the other side of MossFlower Wood, past the sand dunes, and over a lake. They want to meet you!

Rip: Really? You mean it?!

Crow: Yeah! Come with me and I will show you to them.

Rip: Can I bring two friends. They really would like to come!

Crow: Sure. But hurry up and get them, and make sure no one sees you.

Rip rushed down the belltower, out of the door, through the orchard and to where the feast was being held. He got Hilder and Aelas and told them everything. They decided they wanted to come to. So they snuck past the elder's through the orchard, through the door, up the stairs and back ontop of the belltower. There waiting for them was the crow, but 3 weasels, and a fox. Each weasel grabbed a kid and the weasels and fox jumped onto the crow's back and flew off. The weasel's covered the kids mouthes with duct-tape so they couldn't scream. Rip tried to reach for his dagger, but it wasn't in his pocket like it usually was. Unknown to him was that the dagger had fallen out when he had run through the orchard...

ooc: Hey all, sorry about not posting but I've been away the last couple of days. And Badgermum's called Lovre as she's my character.

IC:
Lovre glanced over at Skipper and Sakura, "Are you two alright?" she asked, worry clear in her voice and half and eye on the dibbuns. "We're fine, Lovre..no need to go worrying your head about anything. I'm used to the waters and that was nothing compared to some of the pike I've frilled in my life-time. Sakura's a good little swimmer and has Martin protecting her so she's fine," said Skipper in a happy tone, and then lowering her voice, "Though something's up, I've never seen vermin walk in broad daylight and be aware of Squirrel's before. I think we might have a few problems a-coming to Redwall".

"I am aware of that, my friend. Though it could just be a small amount of rought 'uns but I do think we might be dealing with something a little bit different here" repilied Lovre, noting that a couple of the dibbuns were starting to cause mischife as usual. "What you expect, Lovre, but I think we should keep our watch a little more vigilant from now on" said Skipper brightening up.

Lovre nodded and then stood up, "Right, all dibbuns bed-time" she said. She was met by a varity of groans and "Noa bed yet, badgermum, it's too ergy". But she stood her ground, "I have already allowed a far to great a time to pass, now come on all of you. Bed now!" she coxed, knowing only too well their particular little game. As she strode towards them, each and every one of them got up and started to run away, Lovre shook her head and was about to go after them but paused and stared at the two new one's, Siskle and Kitia who were sat side by side unsure of what to do. She smiles and gently scouped them up, "It's okay, my little one's, they are just playing a game" she said.

"You're badgermum?" asked Siskle, snuggleing into her. "Yes I am" she said troding after the dibbuns who were still running. "Can wee pway as ell, badgermum?" asked Kitia. "No, they are all bad dibbuns and will have to have BATHS" she called slightly, taking to a trot and after several minuets managing to round them all up and partly get them up the stiars...but does a re-count and finds not all of them are there. "Right, you dibbuns go up to the dorms now. I will be along in a minuet with a tale to tell you" she said setting the babes down and watching them run to their little beds, nothing got them there quicker than the promise of a tale or story.

She headed back down and did a quick search, but could find nothing. "Always the same" she said and continued to hunt, getting more and more worried by the minuet.

The feast was coming to a close. Many of the older brothers and sisters had headed up to bed while others stood around making small talk and munching on left overs. Skipper and Sakura had chosen guards for the night. Skipper along with 3 of her otters and a few Moles would take first shift while Sakura and some others took the second.
Skipper was heading to her post when she spotted Lovre searching in the bushes. Her face had worry writen all over it.
"Looks like your the one worried now. Whats wrong?" Skipper asked coming up behind her. Lovre sighed and sat down.
"Its the dibbuns..... 3 of them have been missing ever sense I took the others up to bed....." She rubbed her eyes. She was always so stressed when something happened with the dibbuns.
Sakura walked over noticing Lovre's stress aswell.
"Whats wrong, did something happen with those dibbuns again?"
Skipper told her that three of them were missing. "Really?" Saukura replied, "Which three?"
Lovre sighed again. "Its Hilder, Aelas, and Rip-tide...." She spoke softly.
Skipper suddenly relized something. "Wait, where did you last see the three?"
"In the orchard playing. I remember seeing Rip running over to them and talking.... thats the last time..." Skipper ran over to the Orchard followed by Sakura and Lovre.
"Maybe they left and went into Mossflower. Most likely they heard about the vermin and not being able to go out, you know how hot headed they can get when it comes to things like that?" Sakura said. This made Lovre even more worried with the resent attacks. She tried to calm down as she watched Skipper, who was searching the ground.
"Thats what I would think too..... but......" Skipper picked up an object laying on the ground. It was Rip's dagger. "Rip never leaves this behind when going into Mossflower....."
They were all silent for a moment. Lovre started to stutter.
"Th-then where are they?" She asked full of worry.
"In the woods..... or somewhere in the abbey." Skipper replied. "But im not sure."
Sakura held on to the hilt of Martin's sword. "Skip, You and I and the remaining otters will head out to Mossflower tonight and search. Lovre, gather some of the brothers and sisters who are still awake and search for them here." Skipper went off to gather her remaining otters and Lovre went to get some help.
Skipper asked herself."What have you gotton yourself into this time Rip?"

Rip couldn't believe it. He was on a crow, hands tied behind him with rope. He had been kidnapped. How had he fallen for the crow's trickery. And even worse he had gotten two of his best friend's kidnapped aswell. Why, was this happening to him?

Scragg: Take us to da secret hidout. Dem abbey dwellers won't find us dere!

Scragg, one of the ferrets holding Rip, noticed Rip watching and listening to them. Aelas and Hilder were asleep. Scragg grabbed a peice of black cloth and tied it around Rip's eyes. Then with a sudden blow to the head, Rip was out...
