i zone out when i'm really really tired, or else bored...i can be like a zombie and just completely zone and at that point people can feed me information and directions and i'll retain it all and do whatever they say without a second thought--that is, until they get stupid, and then i wake up from my little world...*snickers*

I zone out when i think too much, i think my mind just either ignores everything else and focusses on my thoughts, or packs it in all together. A couple of the worst times ive done this involved nearly riding a motorbike off a cliff, calling a teacher mum(now thats bad), and electrocuting myself while trying to put a home theatre system together all because i was thinking about something else at the time.

Usually though things keep me pretty aware, all that stuff like music and reading usually make me take not and start annalizing stuff, so im more aware than ever when i do that sort of stuff, guess thats how my head works anyway.

Yeah. I zone out a lot.

I can remember...it's really vague, but..It was when I was in some special ed class (I was diagnosed with ADD when I was younger), and the teacher...I think she was an asian woman. And I just completely zoned out one time, or it might have been a lot of times.

And you know, it wasn't just zoning out. It was like a dream, a real dream. Whatever I saw, it was like everything was actually happening in this day dream. It was so vivid. If only that happened still, or whatever it was.

Also, I remember one time that I was waiting for my Grandparents to come, and in my apprehension, I was wandering around. I went into my parents' room, and I fell asleep on the bed. I dreamed that my Grandparents came, and the dream was also very, very vivid. The closest thing to actually living and actually seeing a dream I've had. It was amazing how vivid it was, when I think back. When I woke up, I actually thought all that I saw had transpired.

I also zone out if I'm writing, especially if I'm reading, and also if I'm listening to music on the headphones. It's not anything like the things mentioned above, but I do zone out a lot.

I've got the most BORING honors english class ever! My teacher's got a toupee that'll attack you if you turn your back, but it'd probably teach the class better. One time I zoned out so bad I actually stopped breathing for a second or two, and when I 'came to' I inhaled and got everyone's attention. (Then I sneezed to cover it up ^^; ) Plus, I zone when I listen to music. Oh, and on the bus. I almost forgot to get off the bus one day. o_O;

I zoned out the other night while on the phone to my friend she started talking about something and all I saw in my head was an image of Brian Molko.
I have a tendency to 'zone out' or look like I'm completely stonned when I'm really tired but trying to stay up. Sometimes I end up making weird noises and just going crazy.
I also zone out when listening to music. But usually I'm doing stuff while listening so that's not good.

heh...I started writing things on my mind
and TV
last night...I have it in writing, so I'll try to scan it in and let everyone read it today or tomorrow

That was the first time I got more than 2 hours of sleep in about 3 days....it's pretty funny, now that I've read it

Okay guys, I just had my worst zone out experience ever.

I have to take a certain IST class for the nursing program, and the first class was today. Believe me, if I could get out of this, I would, because it is sure to be the most boring class in the history of all classes.

The class: Intro to Microcomputers.

I'll let you all sit back and contemplate the horror of that for a minute.

The instructor took the first 15 minutes explaining that a computer has a mouse, a keyboard, a monitor, etc. She spent 45 minutes explaining the art of saving documents, which apparently many people have a lot of trouble with, by using the metaphor of a recipe box with different dividers for different foods. There were worse parts, but I don't want to think about it. The only thing that kept me awake was wanting to *****-slap the bimbo in the front row who asked so many moronic questions (that had nothing to do with anything) that I thought I going retarded. I had to electrocute myself later to stimulate the parts of my brain that had died during those hours. And I have another class on Thursday.

The worst time that I ever zone out is in my colorguard sessions and our instructor is telling us to release and press and release and press the pole and spin the pole inside your hand and have a flat plane and SMALL HANDS and how you aren't OPENING while your pressing and pinching and OPENING and SMALL HANDS and agh can you see how it gets boring?! So i zone out and then he calls on me and I have no idea..so i just kinda stand there..w/ my legs killing me...because he have to stand and spin a darn pole for hours..

I had a good zone out today, 5 guys from my school were convinced i was stoned out of my head because they had been talking to me for about 5 minutes when they realised i wasnt listening and was just staring off into nothing and punched me to get my attention, after that at sport, another guy was sure i was one something because i was spouting random phrases and rocking back and forth subconciously.
Thats up there with a few of my other zone outs, doesnt quite equal nearly driving a motorbike off a cliff though.

Guest dayday
My worst zone out would probably while I was in class one day. The teacher was walking around talking about some kind of verb or something. Then I started to get board so I looked down at the floor. The next thing I know everyone including the teacher is staring at me. I'm sitting there like what and they said I was talking to myself out loud. I didn't even remember. And this happened twice.
