Delian
Twitches and muscle spasms happen to me all the time...My left eye twitches and sometimes my cheeks twitch when I'm nervous or concentrating real hard on something. It's a ticklish feeling. I wouldn't know if I get any twitching at night because i'm a very deep sleeper. However, when I get muscles spasms in my legs it's actually a little painful. I don't get them often but when I do, it's not a very pleasant feeling
Charles
I don't have muscle spasms exactly, but sometimes I'll experience the sensation of falling, while I'm either asleep or almost asleep. I'll be walking from my own point of view, suddenly trip, and wake up with a start. I'm always very relieved that it's not real! O_o;;
Lady Macaiodh
I don't twitch, exactly... I get this thing where it feel like my leg muscles are crawling under my skin, and so I start writhing around, trying to get comfortable. It apparently has something to do with a nerve thing in my brain. It hasn't happened in a while, though. But it truly sucks when it does.
KittyLynn
Originally posted by Fall [B]My right leg twitches whenever I hear one of my favourite songs. Not like I intend it to. It just starts twitching and I can't stop it. Same with my right eyebrow. It starts flickering when I hear one of my favourite songs too. Pretty mad. Syk3
This happens to me a lot, but not as often these past few months. I know exactly what you are talking about, where it feels like you are falling into your bed. However, I really don't think it deals with your dreams so much as your muscles, though it has happened to me if I was falling in a dream. I think this can be related to when an arm moves on a dead person; this is due to something in the muscles. Otherwise, it is pretty interesting to guess what exactly is causing this sudden jump, if your not too sure. I think it would be cool if this was due to levitation when your mind is extremely clear just as you are falling asleep. o_O;;; Or maybe I'm just crazy. GreenEyedDragon
OH!! sometimes when i sleep, i'll dream that i fell or fall down, and i'll wake up and just be laying there, and it feels really weird, cuz at the same time that you feel like you're falling, you know that you're just laying there, in your bed....*sigh*
Syk3
I've never had that...where I'll be falling and just wake up still. I'll usually jump, or when I was younger fall out of the bed. In that sense, I really think dreams are based off of what is going on around you. Say you hear your alarm clock go off when you are sleeping, and try and turn it off when you are dreaming, but can't, and wake up to find it on. Perhaps something like that, whereas you are doing something that kind of integreates with your surrounding or something. It's hard to explain, but if you know what I'm talking about, you'll understand.
RPCrazy
I'm always walking down steps, and I miss the last one and fall. Or I'm about to walk off a cliff. But I don't usually wake up. These are the last things I think of before my brain shuts off and I (quite literally) fall asleep. I hate it when those spasms happen as I'm falling asleep in school. My leg'll just jump or my hand'll twitch and next thing I know I'm half-awake with a couple of my classmates looking at me weird. ^_^;
Japan
Now that you mention it, I get those all the time too. Whenever I am sleeping, and I am dreaming that I am walking or running, which is pretty weird. Well, I stumble in my dream and wake up with my arms in the airand one leg lower than the other (I am still in a laying position)Freaky, weird, but cool at the same time. Queen Asuka
I think I have that disorder you guys are talking about. When I sleep, different parts of my entire body jump around. I don't think it's because of what I'm dreaming, but I KNOW I twitch alot. And some people think it's hilarious. That's what I can't fall asleep at school. Anytime I fall asleep at school it's a light sleep so I twitch BADLY. One time I twitched so hard my entire desk moved. If everyone else in the class wasn't asleep, it would have been quite embarrassing. Also, when I dream, the things I feel seem to be SO real. It's hard to explain and some of it is personal and I don't want to get into it, but my body reacts to dreams in the strangest ways. My eye twitches constantly. This guy I know will sit and stare at me and just count how many times it does it per minute. And I love it. ^_^
Brasil
I twitch all the time. It's called Tourette Syndrome. While Tourette's enhances my creativity, it still brings twitches and ADHD. Jenn doesn't seem to notice the twitches anymore. Guess she's gotten used to them. Right Jenn?
Avatarofkaine
For me this sort of stuff happens rarely but when it does, it does bigtime, it's worse when im asleep probably because im not able to concentrate on my muscles and I will literally twitch myself out of bed in one big heave, usually smashing my face into the edge of my bedside table on the way down. Thats not pleasant. The few times it has happened while I am awake it is usually just my arm or leg, but sometimes my arm or leg has lashed out pretty seriously and I have whacked someone, but the worst is when your sitting at a schooldesk and your knee suddenly drives up into the metal frame and you have to try not to squirm with pain or yelp because the teachers will be after your blood for disrupting class. I'm often a smartass so alot of teachers will grab at an opertunity to have a go at me, even if they are normally pretty reasonable.
