Desbreko
No offense, but you really need to work on your post quality. You may also want to read the rules, especially this one: "Incoherent Posts: At OtakuBoards.com, we greatly emphasize the concept of having clear, easy to read posts. This includes correct use of spelling, grammar and punctuation. If a member is posting with very poor quality, they will be asked to clean up their future posts. If the member persists in posting poorly, they will be banned from the site." I'll leave this thread open, as it could spark some decent discussion, but you should really work on putting more into your posts. Try giving your opinion on why you think they (Link and Zelda) should get together, instead of just saying they'd make a cool couple. In other words, give reasons why you think they should get together, in addition to stating that you think they should. Thanks. :)
Break
I disagree, Zelda is much too close to Link, destiny-wise. I don't know, I just can't see Link being in a couple with anyone, he is the Hero of Time after, he's busy. :p
SonicSlash
That technically wouldnt be possible...that would alter the storyline way to much, and they have no reason to...
Desbreko
Well, it really depends on which Zelda and which Link, and also when they'd get together. With the Link and Zelda from OOT/MM, it wouldn't work, seeing as Zelda is a sage and Link leaves after a while. (As told in the TWW story). If we're talking about the Link and Zelda from TWW, however, I think it could work. I mean, they do
sail off together
at the end of TWW. Nothing has yet been said about the story of the next game, which is going to be a direct sequal to TWW, but they might be able to pull it off. Or they could just hint at it at the end, and not actually have it affect the game that much. So yeah, it is feasible for that Link and Zelda, but I don't think it would work to well with the others. As for whether I think they should do it, no, not really. I don't think they could really make it work well, even with the TWW pair. I only think they should do it if it really adds something to the story. It shouldn't just be thrown in, otherwise it'll probably just seem stupid and pointless. It would probably also be pretty hard to do it well
PrettygurlRei
oh I hope not. So they would make a great couple but I dont see why they would. Sure at the end of Ww, they probably could, desbreko stated that, but it all depends on where they want to go., But if they had kids, wouldnt the power of the goddess's go to that child? If it did, then there would be two triforce pieces in one person.
SonicSlash
Then again, it seemed like Link liked Tetra a lot (watch them closely later on in the story...they act like they have a crush on each other...).Therefore,
her being Zelda
makes the crush "transfer" to her, so maybe they do like each other and hook up... boothten
This is quite a hrad question. It might not work out considering Link is the Hero of Time and, like Break said, they are connected destiny-wise. Yet it might, considering they have a really close connection. They seem to save each other a lot. In the end, I think it would work out between them.
GinnyLyn
I still hold a theory that Link and Zelda are related--at least, the Ocarina of Time ones. In which case I wouldn't put them together. The WW Link and Zelda seem to fit, though. O_o;
Guest Tical
Isnt Tetra a lot older than Link?
AzureWolf
Yeah, Break is right: it depends on which Link you are talking about. I'm just going to take the coward's way out and say, "yes" because of the NES Zelda games, especially part 2 (The Adventures of Link). At the end,
curtain closes, and you see Link and Zelda's feet go close to each other
. You can't get more clear-cut than that, unless you want a PG-13 rating (or, in this case, T)!
Desbreko
Originally posted by Tical Isnt Tetra a lot older than Link?
I don't think so. It never actually tells their ages, but it does say that Tetra became the captain of the pirates at a young age. And from her stature, she doesn't look like she'd be much older than Link.
OtakuSennen
Hm... Yeah, I agree with Desbreko.. It depends on the Link and the Zelda. -NES versions- Well, I'm guessin' they'd do pretty well... As mentioned before, they got sorta close (Yet still at an E-rating level.. lol) at the end of the second one.. -Super NES and Gameboy- ..Eh, I don't think it would happen... If you think about it and look at the dialogue, Malon is more of a choice for Link. (She's only in the Gameboy games, but I believe that the GB adn SNES Links are the same).. And then, in the end of LA,
Malon flies off Koholint, a dream island, and into the real world.
So that would lead to more contact between Malon and Link. -Nintendo 64- ..Eh. I don't think so.. Again, Malon seems more of a better choice. Link and Zelda seem more like good friends in this one, and even one of the Hylian Statue things (You know, the one with the eye) says that Malon "Is waiting for her knight in shining armor to come and sweep her off her feet"... Now, Link doesn't have much armor, and he has quite a selection of bachelorettes in OOT, but there are lots of hints at Malon and Link having strong feelings for each other.. Talon commenting on Link marrying Malon someday, and the couple's meeting after Link grows up.. OR Ruto.. Ya never know. -Gamecube- So far, I'd say this Link and Zelda have the strongest relationship out of all of the different sets..
There's tons of hints pointing at a Link/Tetra(Zelda) relationship..
Link actually blushes, for cryin' out loud... Heh. At least that's how I see it. Gah! Major spoiler there, in the second to last paragraph. *covers it up* - Desbreko
Desbreko
You're talking about Marin, for the Link's Awakening reference. Similar to, but a different character from, Malon. I actually think a Link/Marin relationship would be best. There are bits in Link's Awakening that suggest they have feelings for each other, and I think they make a cuter couple than Link and Zelda or Malon. And besides, Malon is mine. :p
OR Ruto.. Ya never know.
*slaps forehead* You just had to bring that up, didn't you, lol? I can't even imagine what a Link/Ruto relationship would be like. Well, except that I think they'd get into a lot of fights, heh. :toothy:
Charlie Levoy
Zelda and Link together wouldn't work out very well if you ask me. You see Link has been through time and sent to other places. And as for the Link in Wind Waker and Tetra I'm not to sure but, as it's been said before. It depends on which Link and also with whom if not Zelda.
