Strange Concert Happenings...

Although I didn't get to go to the KROQ Weenie Roast on Saturday, I did hear about some strange things that happened there. Wanna know some of the strange things that happened? There were:

A man who jumped on stage while the Foo Fighters were playing, banged on the cymbals for a few seconds, then crowd surfed away while being chased by security.

People ODing on alcohol and being carted off on stretchers.

A crazy Raiders fan yelling "You suck, Bean!" for three hours straight.

Old people (shivers) fondling each other.

And, lastly, a man telling his girlfriend that he realized that he loved her because he was kissing another woman!

Well, that's all that I heard about. I'm sure that other people have equally crazy (probably even crazier) stories of the strange things that they see happening at concerts that they go to (although, the second one doesn't seem to be so strange nowadays). How about it, people? Any stories you want to tell from concerts you've been too?

Yeah, That's what I read about. These happenings are very weird, even for a concert. I thought the guy jumping on stage was pretty funny, especially his crowd surfing escape...^_^
Those are examples of why my mum won't let me go to concerts, especially OzzFest. v_v oh well

What I found interesting once at a concert is that inbetween acts this guy came on stage and asked if anybody had any weed, because the headlining band wanted to get smoke some before they went on. To no surprise some people did and they were let backstage and everything... yet security and whatever authority was there did nothing about it, lol. I could put money on that if they were found with it just in the crowd then they would have been thrown out, but when they are providing one of the bands playing all of the sudden it makes no difference. I just thought that was odd...

If you go to a show, then you should really expect a lot of craziness. Everything pretty much becomes normal there regardless of what goes on. *shrugs*

Hey, lay off. I haven't been to a concert in a while lol.

Not that is strange. Those security guards must have been paid off pretty well if they were just ignoring that.

I don't even remember what concert this was anymore. It may have been the opening act for Voodoo Glow Skulls, but it might have been the 10 Foot Pole show.

The singer just whipped his penis out and shook it all around during the song. Who knows why. I don't even think a lot of people even realized it until it had been going on for about 15 seconds already. It was actually pretty funny, and I guess he stopped before he could get in any real trouble with the management.

I saw a guy jump from the balchony to begin crowd surfing once but everyone got out of the way. He met the floor on his head and died later that week.

Also during the Sevendust concert in Milwaukee, this girl took a good three pills of ecstacy and passed out in the mens bathroom. I went in and saw her kind of half in and half out of a stall.

Thank you for stating that.. it was so badly needed. (and I'm not being sarcastic, lol)

When I was at a Linkin Park concert about a year or so ago, everyone was throwing bottles around at the start. For some completely strange reason someone from the crowd jumped onto the stage and started beating one of the support bands' members with a bottle full of water. He actually got some darn good hits in and the band had to go off stage because the guy was pretty beaten. Suppose it's not so crazy as it is weird.. heh.

Nasty moment was when someone at a concert turned around and said 'save my spot'.. happened to be my ex-girlfriend. Woo.

Ah, the memories.

Well, I was in this band a long time ago and it was one of the first shows, so we still kinda sucked, especially our vocalist. This idiot kept turning down the sound on the vocals and was really pissing everybody off.

Somehow (and I'm still not quite sure how), all the lights got turned off. I heard our drummer get up and walk past me. Now, he's a really big guy. He's around 6'9" and weighs something like 500 pounds. There was this really loud noise, and then the drummer came back and sat down.

When the lights came on, the obnoxious guy was lying on the ground, unconcious and bleeding from the head. Apparently, our drummer had jumped off the stage, ripped out one of the chairs -- which were bolted to the concrete floor -- and bashed him over the head with it. Everybody was in complete awe, and we got a lot of fans because of that.

Well, that's the first incident of many for the bands I've been in. There are too many to tell here.

Last year I went to Ozzfest. Now this isn't really strange, but it pissed me off. There are 3 places to be when watching the bands on the main stage. You could be on the grass, in the seats, or in the mosh. I was in the seat, and the idiots in the grass started throwing beer bottles at us. So before Rob Zombie there was a war, it went from bottles, to mud, to anything heavy. It was pretty entertaining actually.

Well I went to the "Off Fest" 2 or 3 years ago which was a mini Ozzfest. Papa Roach threw up on stage...it was quite funny, I never really liked the guy anyway. The same night someone had a seizure around the place I was standing and this guy was telling everyone to back up. Well, the concert was sold out/indoors and very crowded. It took about 30 seconds but finally they carried him away. It seemed to me like they should have at least covered his eyes. I don't know if the seizure was because of drugs or the 20+ strobe lights on stage. If I recall this happened durring Mudvayne (they aren't very good live btw).

Edit: Is this thread in the right section? Shouldn't this be in the music forum?

Papa Roach isn't a guy, it's a band. :p Do you mean the lead singer of Papa Roach?

Yeah sorry, I don't know what I was thinking. It was the lead singer of Papa Roach. He was going on about how many beers he had that day and how he didn't want to continue to sing (That's how I remember it anyway - i'm sure he threw up though because i'm not the only one who remembers it). It was durring the song last resort. It basicly went "Cut my life into pi-*throws up*".
