GuyYouMetOnline
Some of the cards from the new Legacy of Darkness expansion set mention "Spirit" monsters. Does anyone know what these are?
Mina
The only ones I remember by name are Garuda: Spirit of the Wind and Aquerie: Spirit of Water. There are also Spirits of Fire and Earth. According to my understanding, these cards allow you change the position of your opponents monsters after battle phase or something. I forgot. ^^
Makai Kite
Yeah, the Spirit of Water and the Spirit of Wind allow you to change the mode of one of your opponenent's face-up monsters. Spirit of Rock and Spirit of Fire allow you to increase their attack power by 300 during your opponent's Battle Phase.
Domon
What Takuya is talking about are the "Spirit" sub-type monsters. These monsters consist of Yata Garasu, Yamata Dragon, Inaba White Rabbit, etc. These monsters have the effect of going back to your hand at the end of your turn and that can be a bad thing, or a good thing. Yata and Inaba going back to your hand is a good thing. Yamata going back to your hand is a bad thing. Yata Garasu has the ability to jam up your opponent's drawing, so its good for an anit-Exodia deck. Inaba can attack your opponent's Life Points directly, and with an attack of 700 its pretty good to have.
darkenshadow
if a spirit monster is destroyed and sent to the graveyard can it go back to its owners hand and if why?
Solo Tremaine
If a Spirit Monster is destroyed through Card Destruction or something like that, it is sent to the Graveyard and doesn't come back. If a Spirit Monster is sent to the Graveyard in the same turn that it is Summoned, then it returns to your hand as that is what is stated on the card. Thanks to everyone who answered the question. In futura, all questions about cards should be in the Yu-Gi-Oh CARD Advice Thread, which is a Sticky at the top of the page.
