Behind Impmon and his human were Soulmon and Bakamon. Issuidramon dropped to the ground, devolving into Tsunadramon. They stared behind a huge rock. [B]???:[/B] It's time for a rematch. They saw some people and digimon.Sakura looked and saw two were about to fight each other and one was hiding behind a boulder and watching.Sakura and Fenrismon crept up and looked at what was happening.She tried to do it without the girl behind the rock seeing her but no luck,she saw Sakura and shouted out at her. Before Maurimon could react, Devimon swooped out of the sky and struck her in the back with his "Touch of Evil". He slammed her to the ground. As Bakemon and Soulmon scattered, the real Seth approached from behind Sayuri. "Cunning is the key to the victory in a battle," he said calmly as Devimon continued to rip into Maurimon. "Now that you've lost the element of surprise, we'll see how well you fair." "No matter the outcome, you and your Digimon will not sway me from my mission of purifying this world of all weakness. Your own overconfidence made you weak; you reacted without thinking." "You should have known that ghost Digimon like Bakemon and Soulmon can shapeshift. You let your eyes decieve you. Instantly, Maurimon shut herself inside her wings, rendering herself imprevious to attacks. For the first time in several weeks, she brought her antenae into play, sensing the movement around her. Then she opened her eyes part way, peering through her membraneous wings. Her eyes, saw everything her tamer saw. A nice addition ever since defeating that particular ultimate. The ghosts swirled and dipped, confused as to what exactly their enemy was doing.[/i] Sayuri: .....and pull them through the wall....1,000 cuts. Seth: What the-? [i]Maurimon screamed and ripped her wings open, ripping through the ghost that had ventured too close to her body. Bakemon screeched and she clawed him furiously. Then she brought her fingers around and twisted her wings.[/i] "Silver Noose!" [i]Thin cords whipped from her fingernails and wrapped themselves around the remaining two. Using the strength only an Ultimate would've normally had, she swung them up, down, over her head, then straight into the ground before releasing them. What'd you have to do that for, Flower girl?" he grunted as he flew through the air. "Now it's serious. Evil Wing!" Devimon flapped his wings, and a dark shower of energy fell onto Maurimon. Any sparks that touched her exploded violently on contact. Seth ignored the battle, instead focussing on Sayuri. "Your Digimon is very powerful for a Champion. I suppose fighting you is counter-productive; you're obviously strong enough to warrent existance. However, I have to defeat you, or I cannot justify my own existance. She wrapped her claws around his miserable neck and began to squeeze.[/i] Sayuri: There is nothing.....but power. One must serve it, not exert it and seek to control it. Nor can we purify. It is not our place. Seth: Then what is?!? TELL ME! Sayuri: ....only to be pulled through the wall, and understand the new sight given. [i]Her eyes dripped, and she wiped them away. Then she signaled to Maurimon. She bent down, teeth bared. Devimon struggled until he felt her lips on his neck. She bit down, swallowed his essence. Stood, wiped her mouth. Smiled. Seth glanced over as Impmon passed out. He returned his gaze to Sayuri. "No," he replied. "Exestintialism is pointless, and power is not an entity. All that we see is all there is. I don't care about your beliefs; I only want to be defeat your Digimon. It seems that I cannot. As it stands, I am no longer the strongest one here. Sayuri: He might. Keep in mind, This one is very young. Barely hatched. Seth: Why did you spare me? Sayuri: I might be somewhat heartless, full of self loathing, and cruel when it comes to defeat.....but I am not without compassion. You have potential. It would not do to end your life now. Maurimon: And I do not slay the digimon of a tamer. It is not my way. Impmon: That's comforting. Maurimon: Although....you are a bit annoying and slow. Sayuri: Not trying to be the strongest. I know I never will be. But I strive for excellence. Maurimon: There is no shame in falling before a superior enemy. Seth: Is there? I'm doing this world a favor by eliminating the weak. You understand, of course, that I have to defeat you at some point, or I violate my own philosiphy." "Do not think I care about 'shame'," he continued as he gathered up Impmon. "I'm beyond that. Emotions are a weakness. This 'wall' you talk about is a goal not worth reaching. Even if you see what you want, you'll only die later. Why bother? I'm going to fight until something finally proves me weak and kills me." "...He's wierd like that..." Impmon muttered. "You'll never understand," Seth told her. "Carry on trying to see your wall. I'll stay grounded in the real world, and eliminate the weak." Suddenly some thing caught her eyes. There were two girls glaring at each other from two different sides of where a battle was held not so long ago. "Shouldn't we go talk to them or something?" asked Fossikmon,"Didn't you want to know about the other humans in the Digital warp?" Siaga kept walking, Fossikmon then kept walking behind her. "They have digimon don't they." Siaga said looking back, "Plus those aren't the humans I wanted to know about." 'Why not?' Fossikmon asked her. "One, it's none of our consuren." she said, "Two, we shouldn't get invouled. Three they don't even know were hear." Siaga felt a tugg on her skirt, she looked at Fossikomn. Fossikmon then pointed to one of the girls, she was now yelling at them too. Siaga said nothing and just stared at Fossikmon. And whispered; You do know you shouldn't tugg on a girls skirt...it's kindda rude....Siaga started to walk again, but the other girl just yelled louder. Till Siaga couldn't stand it any more. Ben Posted June 21, 2003 Share Posted June 21, 2003 After Sayuri and Maurimon left, Seth sat upon a rock. He was troubled by what the other tamer had said. Her words attacke the very roots of his vaulted philosophy. "Eliminate the weak, eh?" said an unknown voice. "Perhaps someone ought to eliminate you then." "Who's there?" said Seth sharply. "Do you really want to know?" asked the unknown stranger. "Impmon, go see who it is. Destroy them if necessary." Seth did not like the arrogant tone of this stranger. Impmon began climbing the beach to find the source of this voice, but was sent running back to Seth by a barrage of energy blasts. "Your digimon is still recovering from his last conflict. It was not very wise to send him out to face an unknown foe." said the stranger. Then he appeared to Seth and Impmon. He was of average height, slightly more than average build. He had untidy brown hair and what appeared to be a bluish-gray Impmon at his side. Only his digimon had wings and a smirk on its face. "Who are you?" Seth repeated. "If you must know, my name is Ben. And believe me, your silly philosophy has me quite bored. Destroy the weak? Ha! You're lucky that no one else lives liek that or else you would have been dead a long time ago." answered the tamer. "Why are you telling me this?" asked Seth. Normally, Seth would have ordered his digimon to attack by now, but he couldn't seem to form the words to say it. "It's so hard, isn't it?" asked Ben, seemingly reading Seth's mind. "As for your question. Why am I telling you this? Because I feel like it and there's nothing you can do to stop me from doing it. Goodbye now!" The boy's strange digimon stepped in front of him. Then he held his hands forward and they began to glow. Then he attacked. "Feinted Blast!" said the digimon as he unleashed a flurry of small blasts at Seth and Impmon. The two dodged, but were stil hit by many of the blasts. Strangely, they were not hurt by them. In fact, the blasts seemed to have no effect whatsoever on boy or digimon. The two sat up on the sand an looked around. Both the boy and his digimon were gone. The two calmed themselves completely......then descended deep into their minds, touching hands and arms with spiritual thought. Then they stopped at the same time, and stood up as one. Once more, Digimon and Tamer were one. Then she looked up. Maurimon quietly de-digivolved into Leimon and relaxed.[/i] Leimon: That was fun. Sayuri: Did you upload a part of his data? Leimon: Yes. He is within me now....if we fight again, I can use his attacks against him. Sayuri: Excellent. I am glad we cultivated that particular move. Uknown voice: So....you defeated the foolish one? Sayuri: ....rather. [i]Instead of wasting energy looking for the disembodied voice, she smiled and lookedup at the sky. Leimon did something similar, both totally unconcerned.[/i] Uknown: Do you fear me? Sayuri: I fear many things. But not what I do not understand. It is a waste of energy. If you want me to fear you, give me a good reason.....or perhaps that won't be necessary. When there is another way to see things. "Today has been most frustrating," Seth told the three Digimon. "Ever since Sayuri defeated me, things have grown too complicated. My conclusion is simple: the Champion Digivolution stage is no longer enough for our needs. Impmon, you will have to Digivolve again. She started to walk away again from their yelling with Fossikomn behinde her. They walked through the forest again for hours, till they came to a village entrance. There were digimon runing around all over the place. 'Hey, Fossikmon do the we can find any infourmtion here on humans?' Siaga asked, looking at him. Fossikmon said nothing, and coutuined to walk ahead. Siaga ran and cought up with him. They were walking stirght through the village out to the other side, there they met a Brachiomon. Brachiomon: So are you more of the digidestanyed here to help save the Digital World? Fossikomn let out a sigh and didn't answer him. "Ahh...I don't know.." Siaga said looking at Fossikmon, "How would we know?" Brachiomon: Do you have a digivive? Siaga took what she had gotten earlyer and showed it to him. Brachiomon stompped his feet then said; Yes you two are a pair, once out of this village head north till you come to a cave. There you will fight, but know this, things are not as they seem to be. With this Siaga thanked the Brachiomon, and headed north till they got to a small cave. They went in and found it didn't go very far back. 'This could just be a dumb trick.' said Fossikomn. Siaga ignored him and sat down by the entrance to the cave. "Remember what Brachiomon said," she said happily, "Maybe we have to wait till a certain time of day to go find what we're ment to be loooking for." Suddenly, the village's protector, Rapidmon, emerged. Furious, he charged Devimon with unbelievable speed. "Kill him, Devimon!" Seth commanded. "Kill him and take his data! If you are as fast as he is, you'll be able to defeat Maurimon." Nodding, Devimon plunged his claws into the Rapidmon, destroying him. He uploaded the data. Bakemon and Soulmon nodded. "Good job, boss. Has he Digivolved yet?" Seth shook his head. "A Digimon with as much untapped power as mine requires a lot of data to Digivolve. Now that he's got the speed of the fastest Digimon in the Digital World, I want to give him something else." "What?" "The ability to shapeshift." Seth snapped his fingers, and Devimon landed in front of Soulmon and Bakemon. "Touch of Evil!" he cried, attacking the two ghosts. They were destroyed instantly, and he loaded their data. "Good job, Devimon. Now, Digivolve." Devimon nodded. "Devimon, Matrix Digivolve to...NeoDevimon!" Seth smiled at the new creature. "Well, now, it is time to eliminate a potential problem, isn't it? Maurimon and Sayuri had the advantage over you before and they still do now. You would be better off leaving them alone." "Says you..." replied Seth. He was unsure about what to do. He knew nearly nothing about Ben's digimon, but, his had just digivolved, possibly giving him an advantage. Then he made up his mind. "NeoDevimon, attack!" said Seth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ O.O.C. I could've gotten a lot more in this post if I knew Neodevimon's attacks. His strategy seemed to be to show up when they had just completed a battle; he obviously feared attacking them at full strength, and with good reason. On the other hand, there were possibilities he could exploit if this tamer would play along. If not, he could have NeoDevimon kill him at any time he wished. "NeoDevimon, on second thought, belay that order. Stand down." NeoDevimon landed next to Seth. Seth scoffed. "Your tactics are pathetic, tamer. Attacking after my Digimon is recovering from a battle? Your Digimon must be pitiful if that's all he can manage. However, I have no interest in you at this time. If you have any true business with me, spit it out. Ben was quivering with mirth. "You think that I come only after your digimon is weak? That I am afraid to attack you at full strength?" Ben laughed again. "You are so foolish. I show up when you think to get ahead of yourself. You think you are so powerful, yet you know nothing of the power available in this world. Naive tamer." Ben chuckled. "And I suppose you know of this 'power'." spat Seth. Ben laughed again. "That's just the thing! I don't care about power. I don't care about defeating a quick-footed foe. You have your priorities wrong, little tamer." said Ben. "Rather than destroying the weak of this world, you should be fearing the strong." "I am strong." said Seth. "I have nothing to fear." This remark only seemed to goad Ben into laughter more. "As I said before, if you have business with me, spit it out. If not, leave me." said Seth coldy. Ben chuckled. "You're funny when you try to be tough Seth, that's why I like hanging around you." Ben laughed again. "This is a waste of my time. I don't care who you are or why you keep following me. I don't need to bother with you; I already know NeoDevimon can handle any powers your Digimon may posess. That he was an annoying speck, something unworthy of his trime or effort. An annoyance able to be manipulated. Seth would regret this opinion. Ben was not what you would call honorable...He would take cheap shot at Seth if the occasion demanded it. But that Seth would think that Ben only appeared when his digimon was weakened. He was so naieve! He honestly thought that the enitre world was concerned with him and how powerful he was or could become. The idea made Ben start laughing again. Seth stood back and watched as NeoDevimon used his new speed and powers to wipe the village off of the map. "One by one, all the weak Digimon are destroyed," he said to himself.
