ARTommy
i doubt that i am the only one with this game but i was wondering what character everyone uses? I use Rock the guy with the Air Force jacket because his attcks are pretty powerful but hes fast enough to so he can dodge but still inflict major damage
Kent
Hey... I have this game and actually started a thread about it long, long ago. Just as with this one, it got very little attention. However, even though I bought the game, I didn't play it much... until last week. I got back into the game hardcore and now am in love. Tons of charactors, 6 different grooves, and all sorts of little things to keep the players coming back. I have personally, unlocked the groove editor, which is awesome, and I am currently working on beating the boss mode, which I also unlocked. After beating boss mode, I will get unlimited points to create my own groove in the groove editor. This will be the best because I will be able to make a groove that is unmatched by any of the other grooves, including all of the special systems. (just defense, parrying, etc.) I also want to mention the little things that I love about the game... the way almost every charactor has an interaction with another specific charactor in arcade mode before the match begins. This is often pairings like ryu and ken, mai and chung-li, yuri and sakura, and a bunch of others, but they are all sweet little nothings to keep my intrest alive. (plus those great animations after you win a match, such as yuri's shirt opening as she crys out in embaressment and falls to her knees.) ARTommy, go ahead and post here again sometime, cause I will be back with any advice, info, tips or cheats you wanna talk about... or just plain appreciation of the game. Talk to you then... bye. SephirothNIN
I like using Hibiki because she's freaking cool, a bit hard to play offensively though but still. Kim Kap Hwan and Iori are my other 2 favorites, but Rock is pretty cool (you know that Rock is Geese Howard's son that was trained by Terry?). What is the point of the lv3 combo super moves btw? I know Rock, Hibiki, and Geese have them, might be some others but I don't remember. But it seems like a waste of 3 levels (especially compared to Geese's freakishly strong lightning cage super) and requires a lot more work. Not to mention that only Rock's has a flashy ending, the others might as well just finish a match with a low medium punch or something. I almost prefer playing this game more than marvel vs. capcom 2, cause M vs. C2 has too many cheap bastards playing some combination of cable, storm, magneto, psylocke, and cyclops where all they do is call in their partners endlessly. It's a lot harder to be cheap in Capcom vs. SNK 2, heh unless u're playing someone stupid and you sweep them to victory, but then that's their fault. Kent
AH ! So there is someone else playing this game after all... I just beat the boss mode. It was tough, but I found a good way to cheat. First make the match count 1, then make the damage level at it max. This makes it so you only have to engage the opponent a minimal amount. (that makes it easier for me since I only have to win a few engagments, and not a bunch of them.) After that, go into the boss mode and kick as much arse as possible... if you start to lose... Well since there are no continues in boss mode, just play with the second player controller next to you. Then you can just hit start and not matter whats going on in the match (as long as you haven't lost yet) a new challenger will come in and save you from the loss. That way you will get a new chance after beating down the fake challenger, and you will still be on the same level in boss mode. After beating boss mode you get the "extra options" mode, which is in the option mode and can give you varying types of vitality gauges, crash guard gauges, and grooves. This includes a no damage life gauge, an infinite groove gauge and a no damage crash guard gauge. If you dont know how to get boss mode just ask in this thread, although I may have mentioned it already. Also, if you beat all the charactors in the "all" survival mode, you will get an "ex" groove that can be customized to use more than 4000 points. (Im in the middle of that now) So I will be back in a lil' while... till then. *edit* Just wanted to come back and let you all know that I bet all of the 48 players in survival... Really, really easy with the extra options set up. Now I have unlimited points for custom grooves. Also if you guys are intrested in some more of the lesser known stuff, I know a few things that you might like... For example, when in the color edit mode, hit start and it will bring up a strange option list with all sorts of stuff to do to the charactor. Also, if you want to change a certain area to a color that is already on the charactor, you can go to the color you want to duplicate, hit square, then go to the color you want to write over and hit triangle. This will recolor any area with the selected color... if you guys want more just hit me up on aim or something... hell, maybe in this thread. :D
Guest Fly-T
Me If I am doing 3 on 3 My 3 are usually Ultra Rugal(sp?) Ryu Rolento or Eagle.... Im usually Ultral Rugal or Ryu mostly.... Preferably, I perfer playing Marvel Vs. Capcom2 New age of Heroes....due to the fact that the super combo moves look totally awesome(No one can beat me with cable, Megaman, and War Machine or Wolverine)....Its a good game to play though..... .. got some extras to throw in... you get to fight S. Akuma after the final stage if you *Have 1,500 GP *Beat someone with one of those Super KO moves...(lvl. 3 and max) *Beat either Geese, Vega, Bison or whoever shows up as the "New challenger"
