Darkmoon
K, My first time coloring something with the computer. This is a picture of a... very hairy pony, lol... No, wait! Don't run away! It's not the silly kinds with the heart and star tattos on thier butts! I just call it a pony cause it just doesn't look like a horse, lol. Tell me what you think. All comments are welcome. juna
Very nice for your first time, if anything, it's a bit on the dark side... you cant really make out any of the shading on the body. Also, the blue on the left knee looks a tad odd as it is blending itself into his hair... the hair btw, looks fresh (a bit sloppy on the chest though) All in all, great job! ^_^
Guest yuka-kitsune
it's cool i've never some thing like it
Darkmoon
^^ So dispite some of the errors it looks ok...? Lol, that's fine by me... I made it dark cause of the Back Ground I was plannin' to put on it. So I was trying to make it look shadowy. I decided to make a back ground for it... I dunno, the moon looks a milkshake from above and before I coved it with clouds it accually looked like a white rose... :drunk: Again, all comments are welcome ^^ One more thing, if you don't inlarge it it looks kinda grainy :p
DarK DeatH
Hey, not bad for a first time coloring job! I myself know how hard it is to do computer coloring -_- plus it takes a lot of time... Anyways, try making the shading more smooth... Like, not turning to full black, but a darker blue instead, and also, take out that text there and make it small, putting it on the right or left bottom corner of the screen... Right now it is annoying to see that huge copyright text popping up on the image -_-
TheShinje
*thumbs up* that is a great computer colouring job, especially for your first time ~_^, I think the background you made for it really suits it, as well as getting the copyright text of the actual image of the pony. It's very impressive.
Darkmoon
Lol, I'm paranoid about putting my art on the internet so I have to put that red stuff on it... Lately I screwed up my logo so I'll have to stick with the red text until I can remake it. If I didn't put the writing on my art it would have never have made it here =P And don't worry, I'll be workin' on my shadeing...
...as well as getting the copyright text of the actual image of the pony.
I have two sets of this image saved. One with the writing and one without, lol. I don't think I would have been able to erase the text without leaveing some obvious marks otherwise =P I might be coloring and makeing a few more drawing's like this in the futur, but for now this shall remain my only one. I don't feel up to makeing another for a little while -_- I need insperation!! Lol, If I don't feel like drawing and force myself to it comes out like crap XP
mystikal
it's nice for a first time XD you should really see what my first one looks like è_é;;.. but I have suggestions: For the lineart, it's quite thick; there is a way to scan in lineart and treat it in photoshop so it doesn't look coarse and thick, like big blobs of inc. For the hair, you will find that if you don't do too much details in the lineart, you can actually make it look really nice by shading. As someone has said earlier, it is a bit dark XD;; but I think it's great; me picking on you doesn't mean it's bad lol. keep it up 8D
Darkmoon
Really? Then please tell me, how do I make the lines thinner? I've never really liked the way my drawings seem to have thick lines. It's somewhat annoying -_-;; I already finished this before I was able to check back here so yeah, no treatment on the thickness of the lines, lol XP
Semjaza
All I can really say is that you might want to make more use of the selection tools and magic wands. The only problem you seem to be having so far is staying inside the lines, which that would take care of. Nice job so far, considering you just started.
