What is your favorite Late Night Talk Show, I, like many of my friends, like Late Night with Conan O"Brian because like some of the other shows, namely David Letterman or even Jay Leno, there is never a dull moment, I really can't watch David Letterman because after a little while I get just really bored, and after Jay Leno's monologue the show usually just gets boring. But with Conan O"Brian, he always keeps the show funny, even during interviews which the other shows don't seem to do well.

Jay Leno does have probably the best monologues, but some nights there doesn't seem to be alot of news and the monologue suffers. He usually does a pretty good segment afterwards, but I really just like to watch "Headlines"

I have never really gotten into a David Letterman show, so I dont have a real opinion on it, the show just doesn't catch my attention like the others do.

But thats the end of my ramblings on Late Night shows, yah you may have noticed that I left out the other to....Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Kilborn because those shows.....are pretty bad, and I just don't watch them.....ever.

Conan is probably my favorite... He's just a funny, interesting and genuinely cheesy person. The show seems to be faltering a bit though, as a writer left somewhat recently that apparently had a bigger impact on its quality than I imagined.

I have no love for Leno. I'm indifferent on Letterman.

The only one I ever watch is Carson Daley's show. As much as I'd like to hate the guy for TRL (despite him not even being into that sort of music), the show has some good guests. He is probably the only one that gives really solid interviews too. You actually feel like you found something out about the person, other than their new movie or some crap.

Plus some of his musical guests rock. I don't think any other show has had And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead on yet. At least to my knowledge.

The funniest late night talk show to me is Jimmy Kimmel Live. He is so funny. One show, this kid was shooting for a million dolloars and Jimmy just came up and blocked the bell. It was so fuuny. The kid was so sad. LOL. Well thats my opinion for you.

I think Leno has the funniest monologue on late-night television. When there's usually very little in the news, he takes the same bit of news and re-writes it into a new joke. It's not always as funny as the first time, but I still like his monoluges best.

Conan does have better segments, though. In fact, his show seems to consist of 90% segments, as he seems to usually only get one guest per night (as opposed to people like Leno and Letterman, who might shuffle through 2 or 3 guests in one night).

I agree with Semjaza about Carson (Daly, not Johnny) on "Last Call." He does have the best interviews. He doesn't just say "Well, tell us about your lastest movie for the next 15 minutes straight." He actually dips into their personal lives, and not in a hard-hitting Connie Chung sort of way.

I just can't sit through a whole episode of Letterman.

The only thing I like about Kilborn is his 5-question segment where he asks the guest 5 quick trivia questions. And that only lasts about a minute.

Am I the only person who misses The Magic Hour? It wasn't a very good show, but it was the only talk show that other talk shows made fun of :)

Conan is the funniest person on late night I know. Craig Kilborn and Leno tie for second and then followed by the old nasty Letterman. Since Jimmy Kimel isn't aired here, I can't say much for him, but I imagine he can be quite funny.

Last Call with Carson Daly is an odd show. I could just never get into it even though I ended up watching it everytime it was on. I did like it when he had Fischer Spooner on.

The main things I think that make Conan's show the best is the style of humour he has, his writers are unique, plus they even do the acting (While with Leno, he has Kevin and Ed Hall do the acting along with himself) I like the people he has on. He can be professional and funny all at once. He also interacts with the crowd alot more. Judging his reactions off of theirs. He really likes his fans. I also like the fact he doesn't continue to have mainstream bands play on his show all the time. He likes to put some of the up and coming bands and bands most people have never heard of. It's nice to see someone give people a chance. Plus Conan used to write for SNL and the Simpsons, he's bound to be my favorite.

Man, there are a lot of Conan fans on these boards...and I'm another. Personally, I think Conan is just the funniest of the late night hosts. He's not the sharpest, but he just endears himself to you with his cheesiness and his self-depricating humor. Plus, he's just really weird. Who doesn't love that?

So, I guess we're all Conan fans around here.

I think he's hilarious. There's always something unexpected in every show. You never really know what's going to happen. My favorite segment is "In the Year 2000", especially the latest one with Jim Carrey. I couldn't stop laughing. And the guy who sings on that part cracks me up.

(That was a good show all around, anyway, because Jim is my favorite actor, and Eliza Dushku is my favorite sex fantasy, but whatever.)

I wish that his show would book better guests, more consistantly. It probably keeps Conan on his toes to be more funny, though.

As for Carson, I honestly can't stand his show. Yeah, he does conduct some really in-depth interviews, but I'm not concerned enough about the lives of the celebrities to care. I'd rather just read a book instead.

Although Leno has some incredible monologues, I am in agreement with the majority of the board...Conan Rules! His segments are hilarious, he has to have one of the most unique writing staffs of all time because his jokes range from witty tales to stupid, goofy fart jokes...

I also really enjoy his interviews, he tends to bring out the funny side in most of his guests.

No one here likes Letterman? That has to be my favorite late night talk show. While Conan comes in second, to me he just can't be as funny as Letterman. Now Letterman's new shows aren't too bad, but I really love some of his older stuff. His old shows are being aired on some random channel. I've been watching them recently because they come on earlier than the new ones, and I like to be on the computer durring the time his new ones come on.

I'm split between Jimmy Kimmel and Conan. It sucks because they're on at the same time, so I have to flip back and forth repeatedly to enjoy both.....Method Man was probably the best co-host on Kimmel so far, although the pet prarie dog to Jay Mohr was pretty good too

Conan clearly wins. He's funny and he gets the randomest guests ever. Did any of you guys see the one where he had this family of singers that would find people's photos/slides and write songs about them? I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that!

-Ness, Conan makes my insomnia seem worth while

Guest Randleman
Conan is my personal favorite. He's got Triumph and the Masturbating Bear. He can't lose.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno tie for second. Jimmy is just plain funny and Jay Leno's got the best monolouges and his "Headlines" can't be beat.

I'd have to disagree with everyone but Fall on this board and say that McCallef Tonight is clearly the coolest show on earth. He used the bullet-time effects from the Matrix whilst vomiting. If any body else has done that, feel free to left me know. The man is a champ.

Conan....is.....awesome!!

I like "In the year 2000" like what somebody else said before. I also like "If they Mated" and Triumph, the Insulting Comic Dog. His Anna Nicole Smith impression is hilarious, and his hissing cat too. It is like tradition for me and my sister to watch Conan every night. I might be going to New York this summer so if I do, my parents said we might be able to get tickets. I hope we can go.:)

In my place (and my cable provider), I only get to watch 2 late-night American talk shows. That's the "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Daily Show with Jon Stewart".

I often enjoy watching Letterman because of the Top Ten list and some other segments in his shows. (Although at times, I think some segments like throwing some food from the top of a building is quite illogical.)

As for the Daily Show, I like the way Stewart makes fun of the news (especially with the jokes on Dick Cheney's shooting). But I don't really find some of them as funny 'coz it makes fun of American news, and I live in the Philippines.
