[i]In our world, a delecate balance is maintained between the four Elemental Forces: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. If this balance is disrupted, the ensuing chaos could wipe out the human race.[/i]

In ancient times, there was a legend. In the legend, someone or something disrupted the balance between the four Elemental Forces. Eight young men and women went on a quest to locate the four Elemental Orbs that, when united, would restore balance to the Elemental Forces. To do so, they had to brave many chalenges, and eventually face off with the one who caused the problem. Their task would have been impossible, if not for the powers they possesed.
Each of the eight had power over one of the Elemental Forces. Since there were eight, that meant that there were two with power over each force. Alone, each one possesed great power, but it wasn't enough. But when the two with power over the same Element were togeather, their powers increased, allowing them to survive even the most difficult chalenges. By working togeather, the eight were able to vanquish the one who disrupted the Elemental Forces, and restore balance to the world.

December 23, 2012: The ancient legend has been all but forgotten, known only by those who study ancient cultures. Among these are eight people who have several things in common besides their intrest in ancient civilizations:
1: They all live in New York City.
2: They all live within walking distance of Central Park.
3: They have all memorized the ancient legend, and are the only eight who have done so.
4: Each one of them feels incomplete, as though a part of him or her is missing.
These eight meet, seemingly by random chance, at 2:30pm in Central Park on December 23. They are about to discover that their meeting is no coincidence, and as the events of the ancient legend begin to take place, they will discover that they are the ones who must use the Elemental Forces to gather the four Elemental Orbs and restore balance to the world.

Age: Your character's age. Noone older than 21 or younger than 16.

Description: What your character looks like.
Bio: Your character's history. Include why he or she is at Central Park.
Elemental Force: Which force your character has power over. The fprces are: earth, Water, Fire, and Air. No more than two per force.

Here's mine:

Name: David
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Description: 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short brown hair and brown eyes, and of average build.
Bio: When David was 10, his father died in a car crash, which he believes is the reason for his feeling of incompleteness. David, who has plenty of free time due to the fact that he's homeschooled(his mother can't afford to send him to a private school and hates public schools), began to look for a way to esacpe the emotional pain caused by his father's absence, and he found two. One was immersing himself in the world of compters, and he has become an expert in that area. He is the first person people come to when they have computer problems. The other was ancient civilizations. By focusing on the distant past, he can ignore the problems of his life.
An unusual fact about David is that he always wears shorts and a t-shirt. You will never see him wearing anything else. Evne in winter, he wears nothing but shorts and a t-shirt. The reason: no matter what the temperature is, he never gets cold. He constantly wonders why, never suspecting that the reason was the powers he doesn't know he has
David frequently takes walks in Central Park as a way to get excersize, and also as a way to help himself think. He was taking a walk in the park at 2:30pm on December 23, when he met the other seven, and began the journey that would change his life forever.

Bio:Sakura was an average girl with nothing wrong.She went to a publc school and was very popular and had lots of friends.Though not many people knew she was very good at Computers and she did pretty much everything on her computer.When not on the computer she was with friends,at school or researching Ancient Legends and Civilisations.The reason for the legends and civilisations was because she liked to get away from Real Life and enter a world of mystery and things from the past.
Sakura always wears a jacket and pants wherever she goes even in Winter.The reason being she always feels she needs to because she suspects there will be a lot of rain everyday and most times she's right.Even on a very fine day at some time it would heavily rain and she would be fine while everyone else would be soaked from head to toe.Never suspecting it was her powers.
On the 23rd of December at 2:30 she was supposed to meet her friends there to go out but they never arrived and she met the other 7 and began the fateful journey.

Bio: Glenn came from the far east in order to find solace from the political strife ravaging the countries. He loves to collect swords, ornamental or real, and sometimes sells them for a profit. He was apparently related to a great eastern swordsmith, but there is little to support that, and Glenn has never tried making his own sword. However, he has apparently taught himself to fight with one, but he is even happier that he has never had to fight, he despises killing. He has long golden hair down to his knees, he keeps the hair in the back tied down into a ponytail, but in the front he has enormous bangs. He usually dresses normally, but on occasion he is seen wearing a kimono and sometimes walks around with a sword-cane. His hair usually flutters gently in the wind, but sometimes it blows when there is no wind outside. He went to Central park after watching the news that the wind was blowing from the north, but when he checked, it was blowing to the south, indicating a strange anomaly. THinking it might be a tornado, he rushed out of the house only to find others there, perhaps curious meteorologists?

Description: 5'5, blue eyes, long black hair in a ponytail, white tank top, black pants, white Nike Walks

Bio: Saina's a quiet girl who doesn't talk much. She has only a few close friends but is very loyal to them. Her father was a alcholic and her mother was a workahlic. So most of the time she was by herself at home. Her older sister was killed trying to Saina when she almost drowned. Ever since then she likes to keep to herself. On December 23, she was taking a walk in Central Park when she ran into the others and they started their journey.

Gender: Male
Description: Tall, about 6'11" tall, very stout and muscular, his nickname in high school was 'Oak' because of his build. He has very light brown hair and green eyes. He always wears blue jeans and a t-shirt, along with black boots. He never wears winter clothes, just his blue jeans and t-shirt, occasionally he will wear a flashy Hawaiian Shirt, but that is the most.
Bio: In elementary school he was a scrawny little kid that always got picked on. But after a few years, (and after hitting puberty) he hit an enormous growth spurt and was very tall by the end of middle school, and only got taller into high school. As a freshmen he had to do a stupid report on ancient cultures. This stupid report suddenly became his obsession, and he became very smart in this area of study. After graduating from high school he started college in New York, to major in Ancient Cultures and Archeology.
He loves outdoors as well. He loves to take long hikes and spend time in nature. Even though he is doing the things he loves he feels an emptiness inside of him. He blames it on the fact that he had never dated once in his life, and not the fact that he had some sort of power.
He was walking in Central Park on that day in December, since he hadn't had time to get out into real nature he had to settle with the park. He stumbled upon the other seven litteraly, he doesn't often look down to watch where he is going ;).

Description: 5'9" tall, tan skin, blue eyes, black hair that is tied into A pony tail, black shoes, red T-shirt, blue pants, black and white bandana, round orange sun glasses, black gloves cut of at the knuckles.

Bio: jacen loves to swim and be outside. He likes to read fiction books or any thing else that he might find interesting. He is all ways willing to help others and is not afraid to take risks. He is always ready to go on A adventure and look for new things that no one has ever seen. He has been known to have brass knuckles around with him at times but rareley uses them. After hearing about A chance of their being hard rains he went to central park to look at the clouds when he saw A group of people walking around and he figured he would join them and have some fun or go on A adventure.

Dmitri_Dragoon is correct. Only one elemental force per character, and two people per force. For Ohkami and T man, I suggest going with Water, and I suggest that dayday go with Earth.

Description: Trace is 5'7 with hazel eyes and jet black hair with hot red streaks. She wears a pair of black baggy pants w/cuffs. She sports a red baby tee w/slits on the side and cut-off arm gloves which are red and black. Her 2-in. black boots highlight her outfit. (however, her outfits will change...)

Bio: Trace, as her family calls her, was practically raised by her grandmother. She never met her father and her mother is quite an traveller. Her uncle, which she was close, took her in before she was left with her grandmother. One night, the house caught fire and she was trapped inside. The fireman who saved her was astounded that she survived. During one of her mother's travels, she was sent a book on Ancient Cultures and she was hooked. However, on December 23, she came upon a group of teens and her life changed forever.

Description: 5'5", caramel skin, brown eyes, long cornrowed ruddy brown hair. Wears baggy black jeans, baby blue Tims, and a baby blue Old Navy vintage tee (that's about as close to me as you could get)
Bio: Elli enjoys mythology and histories of all kinds. Whenever she has a chance, she goes to the library to read about them. One day, she stumbled (literally) on a book of Ancient Legends. Three weeks later, she was reading the book while walking through Central Park. She looked up, realizing it was about to rain, when she bumped into a group of teens. Since then, her life hasn't been the same.

Elli discovered her powers during an extremely windy lacrosse game. She was just about to block the winning shot when the ball suddenly changed direction. The wind had been blowing towards her the entire game, up to that point.
