Guest Tha Master
I am goin to get one ow do you attach them to your GBA SP and where do i get them how do they work?
Guest SuperMaxSonic
You can buy it online or at your local game store. It should work on SP. It works like this: goes in cartridge slot, stick cartridge into gameshark, and enter 8 digit code. That simple.
Erika
(Well, I managed to snag a friend's PC and post a question on OB ;) ) I have a question--a SERIOUS question--for my Action Replay. Does anyone use one? Anyways, I can't figure out how to get the unobtainable Pokemon in Pokemon Ru/Sa. Crimson Spider posted it, (the thread has seemingly disappeared since I've been on OB last, and I feel disapointed since I had some questions) but I din't understand what he meant when he mentioned that only one "New Level Modifier Code" and only one "Type 6" code and the "New Wild Pokemon Modifier Code" should be ON in order for the unobtainable Pokemon codes to work. Well, it didn't. I have NO idea what a 'Type 6" code or "New Level/Wild Pokemon Modifier Code" is. I have all but those codes. And I tried getting Ru/Sa Pokemon, but everytime I started the game, the screen went blank, but the GBA was on. I have the Torchic code in the AR's databank and everything, it just won't do it! What's up here? Can someone clear this up for me as soon as possible? :worried:
Guest Crimson Spider
Well, I guess that your version of Gameshark/Action replay won't use the codes you are currently using. A type 6 code is a code that can not be activated with other type 6 codes. Simple enough. Problem is that over half of the codes made were Type 6 codes. If you wan't the source, go to www.gamefaqs.com. In the FAQ section of Ru/Sa should have 2 Gameshark/action replay codes FAQs on the bottom. The problem with getting the Ru/Sa pokes is that since they are from a completely different section in the game memory, the GS/AR will not be able to pull them out with your standard codes. It did the same thing for me. I had to hunt down a Quiet Cacnea and a Adament Nincada. I did some poking around, and the codes for Gameshark are the same for Action replay, or atleast for Ru/Sa. Ryan
My neighbor got the two secret pokemon. I forget their names. He has let me battle with them, they are cool. But I don't like to use legendaries in my team. It is just cheap to me. It does that w/Breath of Fire II as well. It's pissing me off totally!!!! Geez....I just don't get it still--I feel like a freakin' MORON!! And why did you hafta hunt down a Quiet Cacnea and a Adamant Nincada??? :cross: Well, if you have the patience to deal with me, can you give me a better explanation or somethin'? Or should I just trash the AR and buy GS??? I feel confused now...:cross: And I went to gamefaqs.com but all I got were the same codes in my print-out. Didn't help much. I'd spend more time searching for answers, but I can't at the moment. All I can do for now is ask questions. :bawl:

I find it to be pretty much your game is rejecting the code, so all I can tell you is try a different code (there are many codes flying around... you can try www.world-of-nintendo.com for more GameShark Codes), or you could be using a GameShark only code in your AR and it's messing with the game in a negative way, but I still like the former explination... easier to understand. ^_^' If it keeps up, try a GameShark. It might just work.
Guest Crimson Spider
Well, I only put codes for version 1.3 GS and... I think v.2.0 for the AR. If those codes work, then I don't know what's wrong with your game. The reason I had to hunt down an Adament Nincada and Quiet Cacnea is because the codes to modify those are type 6, and the max DV code is also a type 6, meaning that they can't be on at the same time, or they cancel eachother out. So I left the DV code on and just faught the same poke multiple times without the wild poke modifier, because that too is a type 6. I was originally going for a modest Cacnea, but after 4 hours I got tired of hunting down cacneas, and I had already had more than one quiet one, which is almost the same thing as modest. Maybe the Torchic code on the new poke catcher is wrong. When I sent them an e-mail concerning the "new catch any poke" codes for version 1.2 and below, they said that they were fixing all the mistakes in the current one, and wouldn't get the new one done any time soon for the old versions. Erika
Sooooooooo, I just wasted 20 bucks on my Action Replay, did I not? Oh well.... At least the codes pre-programmed into my AR work! Infinite money, etc. I can prep them for battle easier and quicker. 'Problem is, I want at LEAST the trade-evolution and Ruby Version Pokemon. I can't even get those cuz no one will trade Pokemon w/me!!!! :flaming: Either they "don't have the time" to come over to my house (and vice versa) or they also have Sapphire Version I'm annoyed....seriously. So, the first option is to buy a GameShark for my GBA, right?? I can't really find any other way... I have the get-Pokemon codes, I just need them to work. AAaaarrrgh.....:drunk: And I don't see how the GS is any different from the AR... Well, the get a Male/Female baby Pokemon code-thing worked, but the Fast-Egg Hatching code made the screen blank out, though. Hey, CS, how do I find out what version my Action Replay is??? It's brand new, made this year, but I dunno if that really identifies anything :cross: Ok, so I'll try and get a GameShark next week, and I'll see how it goes. Guest Crimson Spider
The thing is that there is no difference between the Action Replay, and the Gameshark. They are the exact same device, just under different names. If any of the "new catch any pokemon" codes don't work, then your AR is version .2. If atleast one of them work, then it is a version .3. What I'm saying is that the code itself for torchic is wrong, not the cheating device itself. Well, I don't have the correct version code, so I can't really help out too much on that. I have tried out many of the codes for torchic, and most of them work. Route 102 codes work just fine. Problem is that they are a type-6, so they can't be used with any other type-6 codes. The Laveridge egg Modifier worked just fine aswell. You must turn on the enable code to get a wynaut egg, and have the code for torchic on at the same time to change it. You should not have the fast egg hatch code on at this time, as it might screw up your game. You then save, then turn off the game, and turn the other codes off, except for the master code, and turn the fast egg hatch code on. You definatly have a different version. You would have to get the "other codes" for the lower version. I'll post them soon. EDIT: Here they are! For versions .2 of AR, and 1.2 of GS and below. Pokemon Ruby Master Code : 9E6AC862 823AB7A8 46B7D9E4 A709E9E1 Pokemon Sapphire Master Code : 9E6AC862 823AB7A8 8365F8FA 817CF3E9 Gene Maxed Out (value of 31) for wild Pokémons. NOTE: TYPE-6 HP Gene : 60C7C028 82820B6F Attack Gene : 2CEFA3FD 3A1F566D Defense Gene : 871BD5C0 05576B47 Speed Gene : 04DB5910 0AA12920 Special Attack Gene : 20DAB881 C1E06EF7 Special Defense Gene : 6568BC1F 64A183EE All Genes Maxed out : D95E6845 60A3B6CF Use this code to make ALL your Pokemon catch the Pokerus after a fight. (even if they already caught it) NOTE: TYPE-6 33969F4A EE0B4CC2 Catch Shiny Pokémon. NOTE/WARNING: TYPE-6, AND FREAKY LONG AND DANGEROUS. But it does work! I?ve done it myself. *Step 1 : Turn on the GBA and launch the game without codes. Make sure you have the 1st slot of your *1st* Pokemon's Box free (in the PC). Make sure you have in the 2nd slot of the *1st* Pokemon's Box a Pokemon YOU CAUGHT IN THE WILD YOURSELF. !!!!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE A POKEMON YOU CAUGHT YOURSELF IN THE 2ND SLOT OF THE 1ST POKEMON'S BOX, THESE CODES WILL MESS YOUR GAME. !!!!!! Turn off the GBA. *Step 2 : Turn on the GBA. Enter these codes in your GSA/AR : 7E5D9AF7 D9D32B17 C70FC474 E276A579 3BC474AA A9392507 DEF526FD C0120242 1DE2A65D C774F615 667B915F 86A23D5A C5259E55 27D383AF 639B1F5C 1FA26FB5 24A766C4 73C0AD82 Start the game with these codes ON. Load your game. Save your game. Turn off the GBA. *Step 3 : Turn on the GBA. Enter these codes in your GSA/AR : 5398D115 E9AE8AFC A90EF609 D2B39D98 4FDCAF5C 32905BB9 51BA1E07 C546973F 659EC2AF A0A1714C 351F1B94 DC32DAAE 24BDB599 04A7AE40 AEA85451 0DD453FD 5662572E C8845667 C94EE97E 808029FD Start the game with these codes ON. Load your game. Save your game. Turn off the GBA. *Step 4 : Turn on the GBA and start the game without codes. Load your game. Now look in your PC. You'll see a strange Egg in the 1st slot of the 1st box. It'll be named "Shiny Hack". DONT'T MOVE IT, DON'T LOOK ITS SUMMARY. Just check it's there. If it isn't, put whatever Pokemon you want in the 1st slot, then move it again to free the 1st slot, then go back to Step 2. Turn off the GBA. ********************************************** Now you have created the Shiny Hack Egg. To find Shiny Pokemons, you have to have it in the PC, in the 1st slot of your 1st box, then do steps 5-6. You won't have to redo steps 1-4, unless you loose the Shiny Hack Egg. If you move this egg, the code following codes will crash the game, and you'll have to go back to step 1. ********************************************** *Step 5 : Turn on the GBA. Enter these codes in your GSA/AR : 1E1650E3 267CE8CC FD1581BB CD466792 EFABCDC7 10C10904 Start the game with these codes ON. Load your game. (You'll see your Trainer Name is messed up : don't worry !) Save your game. Turn off the GBA. *Step 6 : Turn on the GBA. Enter these codes in your GSA/AR : D11444FA 2866D302 Now the next Pokemon that will be created (wild, egg..) will be always Shiny. THIS ONLY WORKS FOR THE 1ST POKEMON THE GAME CREATES. IF, AFTER THAT, YOU TRY TO ENCOUNTER A WILD POKEMON, CREATE AN EGG (BY BREEDING), MAKE AN EGG HATCH, OR RECEIVE A POKEMON OR AN EGG FROM SOMEONE, THE GAME WILL CRASH!!! It actually means you can : - Find a wild Pokemone ONCE, then save your game. - Receive a Pokemon from someone ONCE, then save your game. - Receive an EGG from someone ONCE, then save your game. - Put 2 Pokemon in the Daycare (to make them breed) then save your game. - Make an EGG hatch, then save your game. Once you've made one of these, you'll see that your Trainer Name's is back to normal : THAT MEANS THE NEXT TIME THE GAME CREATES A POKEMON, THE GAME WILL CRASH IF YOU HAVE THE CODE ON. So save your game, and turn off the GBA! *Step 7 : Now, if you want to catch more Shiny Pokemon using this code, just redo steps 1-6. Else, if you have finish, do the following : Turn on the GBA. Enter these codes in your GSA/AR : 33B0BD02 A96038C8 2C7461AC 6912B9F8 A38D6566 5FE97854 7B0D49A2 37C8DBF7 6B985CD3 855A5970 9F7C6183 C3908197 Load your game. Save your game. Turn off the GBA. If you want more shiny Pokemon, just redo steps 5-6. Select personality codes for wild pokemon. Only works on randomly generated wild pokemon. NOTE: TYPE-6. The 2nd code sets "off" the flag that says that you have already done the stone island event (this flag is set on when you examine the egg and encounter Latios /Latias (obvioulsy by using the 1st code I gave you). Once it has been set on, you can't go to Southern Island / encounter Latios/Latias again). Erika
Oh! Thanks, CS! By the way all I did was download newest Pokemon-get codes from codejunkies.com into my AR. ;) What I hate is I can't name the Pokemon I get, or breed them (all the ones I got so far are males, 'cept for Milotic) so I can register them in my PokeDex when they hatch and name them. They won't register, either, in my Dex! And what does "Route 101 mod codes" mean? Does it mean when the codes are activated you look for the selected Pokemon in the wild on Route 101??? I tried it but nothing new popped up. Where d'you get all those codes anyways? And most importantly, how do I use those "Get Unobtainable Pokemon?" That's what i wanna know!
EchoMew2PKMorph
Ok, I would like to mention this about the unobtainable pokemon. I heard from pokemonelite2000.com that the way to get the unobtainable pokemon is though Pokemon Coliseum. Appearantly, you can go around as some person rocket thing, catching the unobtainable Pokemon. I am not sure if this is a myth or whatever, their server is eather down or my computer is loathing me today. Hope that helped! :D
Guest Crimson Spider
Won't register in your dex? Then I have no clue. It always asks if I want to nickname my pokes. Try taking it to the name rater guy. The route 101 mod changes the level 2 zigzagoon to the specified poke on route 101. The "Get unobtainable Pokémon" code... I have no clue. I've never heard of It. I know several different codes to get each old one one at a time, but none like that. My question is: Do the codes I listed above work? If they do, then your AR is v.2 or lower. That is all I need to know. I mean if any of the codes work. And remember to obey the type-6 law. I got the codes from www.gamefaqs.com
Guest Lord Blade
I was wondering if anyone had any AR codes for Sapphire that enable you to win the contests? Maybe like one of those "hit a button to do..." whatever (like get full appeal points or something). Cause I've gotten my Pokemon to full ratings in all classes (cool, beauty, etc). But my moves are set up for battle, not the contests, so I'm not having any luck with the appeals. Any help would be appreciated. Merged this with the Gameshark thread, seeing as both Gameshark and Action replay are being discussed in it. (I also added Action Replay to the thread title to make it more clear). :) - Desbreko

It's pretty much a "traded" pokemon and can't name it. THe ones I got from the codes, I mean. In my AR, I started "New Game" (named it whatever) and added the Sapphire Master Code you included in your most recent AR/GS code-post. Then I added the "Lavaridge Egg code" and it didn't work. No other codes were on except the (m) and Lavaridge egg code. I went to Lavaridge (w/code enabled) but the old lady there just flapped her gums about the stupid hot springs! :cross: Oh yeah, to give you an idea or whatever, I checked the AR's package and it was made in 2002. It didn't specify the version...I don't think. ;)
Guest Crimson Spider
Out of all the cases of "AR not working" brought to me, yours is definatly the toughest. If none of the codes I posted above would work, then you would have to try the higher version. I'll post those soon.
Erika
Originally posted by Crimson Spider Out of all the cases of "AR not working" brought to me, yours is definatly the toughest.
*scratches head* Either that or my brain needs to be modified. The only solution, I guess, would be to get a GS. I check nearby stores, but all I found was PS, PS2, and ARs. No GS for GBA. I hate those "exclusive to AR" deals...well, I guess it's good I have one then...I guess. Well, CS, thanks for all your trouble to help out a dimwit fruit pie such as me. I'll wait patiently. I just think I'm doing something wrong here...but I always double-check the codes an' all, oh well. Shoot, I should cut off this post for a while, I need to feed my mouse. :cross: *waves at CS* Oh, yeah! I already knew about Coliseum and the "Unobtainble Pokemon." I just wanted to check if there was any codes, just in case!

Erika
OKay, I feel so stupid. Guess what the troubleshooting was all about?? Y'know where you insert the GBA cartridge in the AR? Well, I checked it out and discovered that the plate that went into the GBA game when put in was made of some sort of springy tabs. The tabs weren't connecting to the circuit board-thing in the cart. so that's why I couldn't get the pre-programmed codes to work, but I stuck a thin cardboard matchbox siding (kinda like a support) behind where the game should be, and it works like a charm . But now...something went awry and the plastic is a little bent and the tabs won't connect again. Piece of junk! :cross: I'll just go ahead and buy a GS. But after my experience with the AR, I'm still wondering if 20 bucks is really worth it? Oh yeah, I found out that my AR is version 3.1 I hope that helped!
Guest Crimson Spider
Actually, you can get a Gameshark for as low as 6 bucks where I live. Well, I would try the PAR codes on Mastersords FAQ. They should work. I said that in that other thread, which I posted in before going here.
Erika
Oh yeah, the Lavaridge egg code you gave me works, too! Now the Pokemon I couldn't get before can be registered and trained to my liking. I'm so glad I'll be getting my old Blaziken back (I'll have to get a Docile male). And what's PAR and the Mastersords FAQ? Never heard of it. Or is it the author for a FAQ on gamefaqs.com?? Hm. All I saw was codebreakers.com and codejunkies.com code FAQs there...oh well. I still dunno how to activate those squirtle, etc. codes that you quoted in a previous post. I appreciate Lavaridge codes immensely! Spanks
Guest Crimson Spider
Well, those are the "New Catch Any Pokémon" codes that are in LoadingNOW's FAQ. Just follow the instructions listed above the codes. I think that they would work on your AR. PAR is the Pro Action Replay section of Mastersords FAQ. That is the other gameshark FAQ, and has the move-tutor codes.
Erika
Well, a while back I DID try to do the Catch Any Pokemon codes... but...the instructions are a bit vague, and I gave up. So I have to have other codes on for it to work?? I followed the directions, then I came the part where it indicated that you make sure a type-6 code was on and one level modifier code was on, and the desired Pokemon code was on... And that's when my mind went blank...:cross:
Guest Crimson Spider
I'm not quite sure what they mean either. Personally, I would just skip the part where you have to have another type 6 on, and just go from there. I think he means the Max DV code at the bottem of the list. Erika
Ah, just ignore my post in the Q/A thread. :cross: I's overlapping a bit so I decided to move my concerns back over here. ;) Goin' in a loop. ^_^' Well, I found Mastersord's FAQ. I thought it was great! But, when he said enter the Master Code, for the wild.Poke mod. codes, he mentioned 'don't label the Master code as m, M, (M), or (m).' So, how DO I label it? He said it wouldn't work if I did that. Well, even though I started a New Game in my PAR w/the master code (with (M) or(m))and the get scyther-in-the-wild code, in the title screen, it said "Current Game: Unknown Game, Codes On: 0" My PAR is v3.1. Is it "too new" so the codes won't work? The instructions were easy to follow. I just turned off all other codes 'cept those two. Still didn't work. And just to see if it did, I went into the game and all I encountered were the general. Blarg...:cross: I think I have the wrong codes! *rolls onto the floor, crying*
