My natural hair color is brown but i find that most girls wanted me to bleach/dye my hair blonde. I decided to like 6 years ago and i still do it i think its pretty cool having another hair color once in a while. I just dont like doing it all the time though with the rumors going around that it will eventually cause a lose of hair later on in life. I feel that thats just genetics though. Anyway though i want to know if people like bleaching/dyeing there hair or not and what color. Also if people have had bad experiences with it like it coming out to light or dark ( or like my friend pure orange).

That's exactly what happened to mine. I was soo embarrased that I didn't even want to go to school. My boyfriend, TARREN laughed at me. I can't wait until my hair color comes back. So I can be happy again about my hair. Don't leave on too long just like my mom made me and didn't frost it like the way I wanted it. :flaming: I am still mad at her for that.

My hair used to be tons of different colours... many of them funny enough all thanks to Mr. Kool-Aid. laf. I ended up shaving my hair, just to be bada**, (bad choice btw, some girls look cool, my flat head looked rather, well, to say the least, odd. O_o).

Since then, I've been letting it grow out without dying it or blow drying it and honestly - I do notice that it's much healthier then it ever used to be. I've known girls that have seriously damaged their hair by burning it as well as their scalp, (platinum was very popular around the clubbies for a bit), but those were very few and far between. Mostly, people do have good experiences...

Do you like the way you look with your hair dyed?
Does it make you happy?

I guess that's all that matters... ^_^

Okay, I have another story to tell. Alright, one of my friend's friends dyed her hair BLUE! It was soo funny. We all called her moma smurf. She had matching clothes, backback, binder. It was hillerius(sp) Man you should of seen her. ^^

I think when a guy bleaches his hair, then let's it grow out a little so the roots are dark but the ends blonde... it looks really good.

I used to bleach mine all the time, but mostly so I could dye it purple or something. As you can see from my pic in the picture forum, I don't do that anymore. I think I'd rather die that bleach it now!

I don't really think that's true, that bleaching your hair makes it fall out, because my mom's been doing it for years. It does keep it from growing long, though, because you get such bad split ends.

when I was in sixth grade my mom tried putting 'highlights' in my hair. she ended up doing my enire head, and it came out completely bleached and tinted orange. and a couple of hours later, she made me go to a New Year's Eve party that was being thrown. this one guy called me Vitamin C, except he had no room to talk, because his hair was the exact color of mine :cross:. since then, I haven't let my mom so much as trim my hair, considering she can't do that right either anyway.

I am not going to ever let my mom do it AGAIN. I don't want that hair color ever again. Count down to orignal hair color: 1 year *sighs* -_-

I've been tempted to bleach my hair blonde, back to the near-white colour it was when I was about two but I never got round to it. The stuff's still on my bedroom floor, heh.

I've hear the substances in them can be pretty nasty, though. My mum keeps telling me that I can do it, providing I drink plenty of water afterwards (the bleach gets absorbed into your bloodstream though the scalp, so I'm told), get it out of my eyes (else I'll go blind), do a patch test on my skin to see if I'm allergic to it, yadda yadda. It put me off, really ^_^; I want my hair to look good, but it seems awfully risky doing it myself. That, and my eyebrows are near black. Having blonde hair and black eyebrows I'm guessing looks really strange.

Oh, that's useful to know, hehe. I don't want my hair to get too long (although 'long' for a girl is probably way past 'long' for a guy). That's given me a little more incentive, though ^_^

Umm another good idea is to get it done professionally. Like go to ur local barber or where ever. It kinda a little expensive ($15 for the whole head)...but they get it done perfectly and any way you want it. So if u did it buy dyeing it urself i would recommend doing it that way.

Alright I'm Asain, South Korean in fact.
And I would never be able to dye my hair blonde. Come on think about it. Imagine an Asain with bleach blonde hair, it doesn't work, does it?
The only hair colors I want to dye my hair is : Deep Purple or a Dark Blue. (My hair is normally jet black.) Either would be cool, but my mom won't let me, she says I'm to young to be letting chemicals seep into my brain. Oh well, one day you'all will see me with blue or purple hair.

Which is the sexiest hair color of them all, don't let anybody fool you. Don't dye your hair.

I hate it when people bleach their hair. It looks so stupid to me. And YES, it does make your hair fall out. My mema had to shave her head twice because of this. So I wouldn't do it too often if I were you.

I get highlights put in mine, but I use alot of different things. I used this debronzer that makes your hair white-blonde instead of golden-blonde, and it looks a million times better.

Bleaching simply damages your hair. Particularly if you are not responsible. Most people wind up frying their hair eventually, and it has to be cut.

I think bleaching just to bleach is stupid. Bleach blondes do not look blonde, so it pretty much defeats the purpose if you ask me. It looks alright if they bleach the top and leave the roots dark, but now so many people do that.

Personally, I do dye my hair very often simply because I cannot stand my hair. I can't do anything with it, and dying lets me make up for it some heh. I've done it with many different types and styles. There's lots you can do... especially if you get into mulitple colors or creating your own mixtures.

Stuff like silver, green, teal, pink, violet, etc. I have yet to actually bleach it though, simply because I'm already blonde. It would make my hair incredibly vivid, but I've not bothered at this point. Probably once I'm secure in my next job I'll do ultraviolet after a bleach. That or pink again.

It can be pretty enjoyable.

I had my hair bleached once. My hair colour is naturally very dark brown so when I did it, it was quite a shock. It didn't go completely white but this yellow/blonde colour. Considering how dark my eyebrows are, it looked halarious. Also a few people said I looked evil cause it made my very dark eyes look even darker. I dyed it back to normal 3 months later, but my hair was already damaged, so I kept getting it trimmed. I got sick of doing that so I just chopped it all off. It's at that awkward stage now, but at least its healthy.

My friend Shayne has the most ridiculous hair--he can't keep it one color. For a while last year it was a sort of flourescent yellow, and after that he died it jet black. He ended up with orange-y highlights in the black, heh.

Right now, it's this mix between gold and copper--We tease him about it, but it honestly looks so cool. Heh. ^_^

I've always wantedto streak my hair white, but I don't know if I dare now that X-Men is suddenly back in the public eye. Oh, well.
