Me and my friends play Super Smash Bros. Melee and we come up with scenarios from like other games and anime scenarios. Like when we play Yu Yu Hakusho, we have Marth with the bunnyhoods as Hiei and Roy with Lip's stick as Youko Kurama. See if any of you can come up with some scenarios.

Well, I don't think my friends and I have the attention span to be that creative. . coupled with the fact that I am really the biggest anime junkie of all my friends.

One thing that we used to do was only use weapons that would 'fit' that character. For example - Link wouldn't be able to use the bat, since the bat is more of a 'now' age type of weapon, and it probably wasn't around back when Link was kicking the crap out of Ganon. The Beam Sword would go with characters from the future. . etc. etc.

That usually works till someone accidentally picks up some other weapon, and throws it at someone else, then we turn into little kids and start yelling and going all out in the game. It's pretty funny =P

Hmm... I don't do anime things or anything mentioned above, but we usually try making some unique story, or try something challenging. For stories, we usually have some set characters that we can use, and then we decide on who the big boss would be. From there, we rotate the story, person to person, and see where it goes. I usually end up doing all of it anyway, since no one else likes their sense of imagination... Mostly, though, it just ends up as a knight's story, using Link, Marth, and Roy.

For challenging, we found that a 3v1 against Bowser, with handicaps at 1 for players, and 9 for the Bowser CPU, is a lot of fun. Using other characters doesn't recreate the right effect, though. Some are too fast, and the weak, fast characters are impossible to beat. However, Bowser makes the perfect feel for the "daunting, too strong" enemy. You can win, but not until Bowser throws you at your friends, sends you sky high with just a flick of his power, and you last long enough to have a relatively high percentage that your speed when you get hit is glitch-erific.

I did something like that, except it happened by accident. With a white Marth as Yue, pink Young Link with the Star Rod as Sakura and a green Young Link as Li, you have quite a good Cardcaptors look-a-like convention. We decided that Pikachu would fit best as Kero, and black Marth as Tori. Those go well in any of Kirby's levels, heh.

Sometimes we just have all-out swordy brawls with Link, Young Link, Marth and Roy, or WWI-style long-range combat on Hyrule Temple using lots of bombs and things. Samus usually features heavily in those. But not many other anime things that I can think of specifically.

Hmm... I've never done anything Anime-ish, but I do think it's fun to play on small mode with only poison mushrooms and only small characters like Pichu and Kirby. Hah, try to pick up a crate and you get squashed! Also, the vice-versa applies. Giant mode with only Super Mushrooms and big guys like Bowser and D.K.. I read a NP once and it had a couple fun scenarios like those two. One was play giant mode on the arena where you play Master Hand (i don't remember what it's called) so it's flat and there are no platforms. Then use only red shells and green shells and watch your enemies (and yourself) fly. Good fun!

Whenever I get into something new I usually incorperate it into my SSBM play time. Dragonball (Mewtwo is a good Frieza), Cowboy Bebop (Blue Fox for Spike, Black Marth for Vicious and some Mario's and Luigi's for Yakuza), the Hulk (Green DK of course), FFX (Captain Falcon w/ a green turtle shell for a blitzball; he really can do the sphere shot), Gundam Wing, Star Wars, Daredevil, and tons more. It helps me bring new life into a 2 year old game.
