Sui Generis
Alright first off I want to thank Charles for the inspiration for this wonderful thread title....^^ Hm...might as well just go out and say it plain and simple, always easier that way. Anyways, yeah I'm gay. I know I put a thread up here a while ago stating I was bi. I told ya'all I was bi because I was still like kinda in denial of being gay I guess. For some reason afraid of being who I was. I don't quite understand why I did so, but I did. I guess I was afraid of making that jump, even though that jump really was never made...I just always was. So in a sense I lied to you, sorry for that. I realized a while ago that I was 100%, full-fledge, color of the rainbow, gay. I haven't told anyone untill maybe a week ago. I'll always give credit to TN for being my role model, even when I didn't talk to him. I also want to thank Shy. I've talked to him recently and he's been a huge help! Anyways you guys are basically my safe home. The home away from my crappy home. You guys ARE my family in every aspect of the word family except for blood. I figured I owed you guys enough to tell ya'all that I'm gay. I don't know I'm sure some of you expected this, heh. As I said I just wanted to tell ya'all that I was truly gay, I hope it doesn't affect the way you guys look at me, but if it does, I'm sorry.
Biida
*Smiles and gives big bro a hug* ^.^ I'm glad you told us. Most people I know wouldn't be able to even admit it to themselves how they truly are. You're meh big bro and one of my best friends, and nothing's ever changing it. So nyeh. =P And there's nothing to be sorry about, either. If there's someone here that doesn't support it, or outright bashes it, just screw 'em. O_o I'm really too tired to think of much else to say. So that's all for the time being. Lol. ^.^ *Gives him and lolly and skips off*
Shaun
Heh, you know how I feel about it, but that doesn't change a thing. You are my bro, and I am meeting you in 4 days! How cool! So everyone be on the lookout for an Otaku IRL Meeting thread :)
Fate
It's not such a shocking revelation that a person is homosexual. Half of the people I know are gay, so it's not such a big deal. Congrats on discovering yourself.
Lady Macaiodh
Well, I figured that out a long time ago, so it doesn't change my opinion of you whatsoever. I'm glad you finally feel you can really say it, though. :p :) This is a good place to come out though, considering all the gay and polygamous marriages around here, lol.

I'm really proud of you, especially after the stuff you have had to deal with lately. Obviusly my opinion of you does not change at all, if nothing else I think more highly of you after fully "coming out" to OB. PS: I hate the term "coming out," it sounds really stupid IMO. -Shy
Shinobi
Well done mate, i remember you and Piro were the first people i ever talked to on OB and your still the exact same guy. I kinda guessed you were gay when in your blog or something you were talking about a dare and you got your first kiss off a guy? I'm not sure if that's the right story, but yeah, after that i kinda geussed lol. Well done again for being strong and tellin' everyone your true self i geuss. LMAO i felt like Morpheus or something there: [Morpheus voice]You found your true self Brian, you should be proud.[/Morpheus voice] Lol. Congrats once again ;). No need to be sorry either. We love you anyways. After all your one of The Otaku Family!!! I love you so much -Kitty

erinzyger
Congrads Lalaith Ril! It's a good thing that you're honest with yourself and other people. *hugs* You know we love you anyways! Well, c-ya on the other side! *flys off on one of her winged monkey soldiers* P.S.- Present for you in the attachment! Computer wouldn't let me attach the first one (the one I drew in the Paint program for you)...Stupid computer...*kicks computer*...Anywho, aren't chibis just so cute?
Corey
Congrats dude. I kinda figured you were gay even though I never read you blog or anything. I'm still one of you best buds. That'll never change. I wish I could say more, but I'm being yelled at by my friend to get off his computer. EDIT Finnaly I'm on my own computer. Have you told your family yet? I suggest you do it carefully. When I joined the GSA(Gay Straight Alliance) at school my dad got all wierd and though that I was turning gay. For some reason, even though he has plenty of gay/lesbian/bi friends, he has a problem with me associating directly with homosexual clubs/after-school stuff. If they love you, they will accept it. It may take a while but the fact that you are their son will come through. Good luck Brian. :)
James
If I had to choose one thing about OtakuBoards that I'm proud of...it's the tolerance and acceptance. That's what this place should be. We all come here to enjoy each other's company and at the same time, the vast majority of us are completely open to each other. I mean, there is really no need to be anyone but yourself here. It's what I'm most proud of about the community. I guess that's all I can say. Lalaith, you deserve respect for being so open about a subject that so few people understand (or are willing to discuss).
Heaven's Cloud
I've always had a great amount of respect for you, and, now I have even more. I am sure it is very akward trying to predict how friends and family members will react, however, I appreciate that you feel that you can be honest and open with us...thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life with us. Good luck, ~HC
KittyLynn
How are family members taking it? Have you told them yet? I'm sure you'll be fine if you haven't. -Kitten Always be here for you.

For some reason, even back in my newbie days, when, for a small while, I idolized you, I somehow knew. Way to go on finally being able to say, or type, it out loud. I know how hard that is. Fearing the ridicule and negative opinions of those around you. It was intensely hard for me to come out, and be able to admit to my friends that I am bisexual. But I felt really relieved when I finally said it. Then again, I'd always known. Since I was like, four. ^.^; Anyways, Congratulations!!

QueenBee
Congratulations on "coming out" it takes a strong person to do that and I wish you all the best. Vertigo
^_^ You know yourself. And that's one of the best things you can have. For me, being straight or gay doesn't really matter to me. In my opinion, what sex you prefer(or think you prefer) doesn't matter when it comes to love. On the other hand, knowing yourself means knowing your preferences, and that's something that really does matter... But I'm just a rambler who's dealt with too much in her short time...^_^
Orien_Xel
Hey, good job! COngrats, and all that! It's good that people can do this and be accepted by society today! Hooray! Note, that I don't partucuarly care and I find myself perfectly comftorbale around gay people. Transtic Nerve
I was like the first person to come out here wasn't I? Like 2 years ago or something... damn, look what I've done. lol. I like the fact there's alot of gay people here. There's alot of closeted people too, but thats their deal. Loads of bisexual/confused/I dunno what people here too... damn... Uh, congrats, although I kinda already knew or something. In fact the only person that has come out I DIDN'T know about was that damn Shy. lol. I know 0 homosexuals...wait 1. I'm sure probably more people "are" but don't "come out" because of fear. Some extremists here beat people and kill them. Luckily OtakuBoards isn't like that, its refreshing ^^.

Ryan
Congrats Brian! Man I would have never of guessed. We were best bros back in the day until I left here for a while. You were always so nice and cool to me and I want to thank you for that. I seriously would have never of guessed, probably because it didn't really matter to me at all. I wouldn't give a crap if you were, you were still awesome to me and that is all that mattered. I am happy and glad for you that you had the guts to come out here. I'm really proud of you. That shows courage and strength. Don't ever get down or sad if some people will call you names or insult you because of this. You are unique just like everyone else and nothing will ever change that. If you ever have any problems, you know you are always welcome to talk to me. Again, I am really proud of you! Best Bro, Ryan
JJ
Lalaith, I don't know you period but I find it great that you have come to terms with yourself. It's great to know that there are people in this hating and cold world who can openly say there have sexual preference with the same sex. I myslef am finding myslef in the same dilemma and I feel a little for confident in how I decide knowing that there is someone who can openly decide and nt go into hiding for fear of ridcule. Stay strong and don't let anyone get you down because for your decision. Best Regards, JJRiddler
