Fall
Some things around go against everything that says it's wrong, but it's actully right. Or that says it's bad, but it's good. You know? An example. Doctors, health charts, etc. say my ideal wieght is supposed to be around 70 kilograms, based on my age, height, and that. But.. I'm actually around 93 kilograms. And I don't look "fat", as it supposedly indicates in the charts and crap as "overwieght". This one's plain and well known. Smoking. It's bad. We all "know" that. But you see these people around that have been smoking since they were teenagers, and yet they're still alive 80 years later.. well, maybe not that long, but you get it. Basically, these examples go against outright odds. They happened, exist, but they should not/have. Anyone got any stuff like this that has happened to them, or anywhere, anyone, blah.. [croaky old voice] Sometimes things like this happenning can save lives. ;) [/croaky old voice]

KittyLynn
Whoa. There's a lot. But you know what really gets me. Miracles..Those things that come true when everything seems bad. I was born with some sort of disease..And I was put in an incubator and on life support, basically machines were living for me. I was thought not to live through the night. But I did. This isn't and wasn't wrong. But I wasn't suppossed to live. I guess thats kind of a "against all odds" thingy. -Kitty
Whiteblaze
This lady that I know, she had so badly for a long time wanted to have a baby but, when she was finally going to have one, it died before it was even born. She tryed having more & they all died before they were born too. She's the kind of woman where it's just not possible for her to have children, at least that's what doctors told her. But finally one day, after lots of hoping/praying and literally almost dying, she had a baby boy. He's beautiful and healthy and has a very loving mother. I say this definately fits in this category and if this baby isn't considered a miracle, I don't know what else is.
Corey
Well by all accounts I should be dead. I was born about a month and a half premature, I was jaundace(sp?), and was very small. My birthweight was close to 4 pounds 9 ounces. They had to keep my in the hospital for about two months and the docs never thought I'd survive. But, hey. Look at me now. I'm almost seventeen and a pretty healthy person. I guess I defied some odds there.

Skyrose
I was never supposed to be born alive. My mother spent two months on the couch, about 5 months pregnant, rarely moving from it because she'd start bleeding. And I was supposed to die because of that. But my parents didn't want to give up on me. And I was born exactly on time. And I'm still alive, and as healthy as I've ever been. I guess that's against some odds? Wow, a lot of people weren't supposed to survive... are doctors just paranoid anymore?
Kevin
That is amazing. Sometimes I am suprised at how the human body can adapt and survive, even when the odds are stacked against it. I am glad that none of you have passed on and are still here to enlighten us with your P.O.V.'s.
