Gaming Zelda movie?

[color=#8B0000]That link doesn't work for me, but I think the movie you're talking about is the fan-made one due out some time during the Autumn of this year, which is loosely based around OOT.

Anyway, the trailer looks kind of cool, and I like the soundtrack the creator used -- it really does a good job of making it look all that epic. But does anyone else see the cheese in Link's costume? I mean, the blonde wig the actor playing Link wears looks terrible, which I guess I could let slide since it's fan-made and I understand there's a tight budget, but that green costume looks god awful.[/color]

All-in-all, this looks like it'll be well done considering it's an independent movie. Then again, trailers can always be misleading.

I have to say, though, where ever they filmed that, it is absolutely gorgeous. I wonder what location it's in?

I do want to see this, though. I think I'd actually rather see a fan-based movie instead of a huge motion picture. Because this way, we know it'll at least stay true to the general story. You never know with those famous directors.[/color][/size]

Let me be honest here. I enjoy Zelda. I Love almost all the games but now a live action movie? No.

A cartoon? sure. Just like the ones they played on the super mario bros. super show. Blast from the past? Well EXCUSSSSE me princess. :)

Cartoon? sure I've stubbled upon a few comics and though not caring for the actual artwork it had some very funny dialog.

But let's be frank. Live action movie of Zelda sounds just as good as that Live action Movie of Dragonball Z, which it isnt.

[color=#8B0000]Well, like Bláse said, the movie just might have a better shot in narrative terms than a Hollywood blockbuster would, because the directors and screen players will have more insight into the Zelda series than those of greedy movie producers who are looking to milk the series' name. So, essentially, and hopefully, it will run by the basis that "it's for fans, by fans".[/color]

Perhaps. But to be brutely honest now, I will go see this movie. If it ends up good great I have another movie to add to my collection. If not? I'll just go there and laugh my butt off on how bad they ruined the whole thing.

Actually the second part was my idea for the Dragon ball Z live action movie.

Oh well can't judge a book by it's cover until it is actually made and shown I suppose.

There was a Zelda cartoon, which (at least I think so) didn`t base on the game that much.

1)They made Link a brunet. :animeangr
2)They changed the story and the other characters and their looks nearly as much as they could. :animeangr

So if the cartoon was a let-down, I really don`t think a live action movie would be any better. Most likely it would just turn out to be as bad as most of the movies made from a game (Tomb Raider), or it wouldn`t be made at all (Devil May Cry).

So no, they shouldn`t make a movie of Zelda. I think Zelda is great as it is. As a game.
