Art First Wallpaper

Yeah,this is my very first wallpaper I've made....It's just..plain to me..yeah,I don't think it's good,but I want to hear what you people have to say about it.It features Kanzaki from Battle Athletes.It's only an 800x600 so I'm gonna enlarge it later.Tell me if it's messed up,I'll fix it.

Lets see...I hate it when it takes someone forever to reply so I will reply for ya on my thoughts....like you I am quite new at this stuff too. I think she is so cute! I love the background! That is better than what I can do! I dunno tho, the purple doesn't seem to suit the red on the text. Also the text doesn't go well with the picture, maybe if it was something more girly or curvy looking??? But other than that I think it looks good. I will rate it [b]6/10[/b]

The background is nice, but the rest could use some slight tweaking:

1. The picture of the girl could use some closer cropping because you can see a white line surrounding her.
2. The position of the lens flare is strange and stands out too much. If lighting effects don't look right, it is sometimes better to leave them out. A better position could make this "shine" (lol pun intended).
3. The text isn't too bad, but it could be of a better selection, in my opinion.

With some slight fix-ups, this could be a very nice wallpaper. I commend you on your efforts. :)

I give it A 7/10 because even though I don't know what the anime is or who the character is I still like because it seems like you put in A lot of work.
