RPG Grimoire Necronium

Alright ladies and gentlemen, I have been waiting to see if anyone has posted a roleplay to my tastes but nobody has, as such I am trying to get something started, however I was never an overly competent dungeon master and am hopeing someone might be able to lead on from an undoubtedly sketchy overview.
Not the usual way to get things done, but I thought it worth a try.
I'll see how it goes.
You never know I might even pull something off worth a long and enjoyable following.

If you want to join, you will need to help build to the storyline. Write most of the details of your character into your opening post if you can. Really hope this works out.

Sedit sat amoung his flowing robes, the light of five candles causing the the rich velvet to take on an apearance of oil. Each of the five points of the pentagram inscibed on the floor before him was headed by a tallow candle, the ridged form of his chosen medium sat in the centre, the spirit within contained within the force walls created by the protective symbol.

It had taken a full week to prepare for the rite of xenoglossia, fasting was required, as was the wait for a new moon. Not only this but the medium had to be prepared, perhaps those most powerful warlocks could throw the vessel into an imediate trance, but for Sedit it was not so easy, he first needed pacify the subjects mind.

Now the time had come to bring forth the daemon and ask of it his prepared question. The rod of blackest ebony he held within his deft fingers rapidly forming the image of the deamon he wished to bring forth in the film of unguent spread accross the floor, to one uneducated they resembled incoherrant squiggles, but to him they were the final motions in the rite of summoning.

He sensed the beasts arrival as the medium swept up in a convolsion, babbling incohherantly as the daemon settled into his prepared mind. Then all was still, all but Sedit's thoughts, his mind raced as he tried to remember the correct wording of his question, so as to make sure the daemon had no chance to mislead him. It was bound to speak truth, but would use any chance to make itself mis-enterpretted.

"Where upon the fields of Cosmos lies the Grimoire that I seek, where will I find Melkhior's journel, where lies the Grimoire Necronium?

The first part of the question was unquestionable, the daemons answer would have to be truth, but the second part would most likely provide him with little useful imformation, the daemon was sure to speak cryptically.

" The Grimoire you seek lies far, lies hidden, deep within the The forest of shadows, it lies at the top of His ancient tower, and yet it lies so far below."

Sedit was pleased, he had gotten more of an answer than he had hoped, he now knew where the tower which he had long suspected of containing the journel was hidden, disguised by enchantment. The second part of the daemons answer was lacking in meaning though, but he was sure that when the time came, it would hold a secret of unmeasurable importance, lest the daemon would not have troubled itself to speak the words.

And so with a word of power, one of three that Sedit was able to control he banished the daemon back, he was lazy in his excitement and cared little that without the proper exorcism the daemon would surely steal the mediums mind, it mattered little, he now had the imformation he needed.

Sure enough the medium slumped dead, stone cold all the heat stolen from his body and taken back to the nether realms.


Actually, I think that was pretty damn good, sorry to sound concieted, but I'm rather proud of myself.

So lead on, write yourself into the storyline, prolly about maybe 4 characters I think, but see what the storyline develops into, use your judgement or PLEASE PM me if you are unsure.

Sorry guys and girls but I was really hoping to get this one off the ground and its just not happening, so very disapointed. Please there must be someone out there ready to weave themselves into the storyline.

Be whoever you want, someone to help Sedit in the search or someone to stop him from finding the power he seeks. As above just work in things like what your character does for a living into your opening post----story telling style sort of---- hope to see some replies soon.
