He spread thick tattered wings and went after her in an aireal approach. She leaned back and watched him fly, then removed her oragami, unfolded it with her left hand, then flung it in his general direction. It caught him in the eye, and he screeched like a crow. He hit the ground, and she pounced. Before he could rip it out, she plunged her longblade down into his body, head tilted back in ecstacy. The body dissapeared, leaving her covered in tengu blood.

Sayuri panted for air, and sheathed her blade slowly. With a flick of her hand, she folded away her oragami, then turned to face the others.

Ken: .....gods...she fights like one of them.

Sayuri: ...we can go now.

Wolf: well, i overestamated him. seems are Sayuri is as good as any demon.

she just grinned and the group continued there travels.

Kyp: darn, i thought i was going to get to shot something.

Wolf: don't worry Kyp. once we get to the fort you can let your arrows fall like rain.

the sun was begining to set and made a wonderful picturisk view. the sun played with all the colors and made them appear in ways people only dream of. it couldn't have been any a nicer backdrop to travel to.

Ken couldn't believe what he had just saw. He continued to stare at Sayuri in awe as he sheathed his weapons. He made a mental side not never to get onto Sayuri's bad side, ever.
He truly pitied Kyp and Kasier when this little adventure was over.
The little troupe started on again, and Ken kept in deep thought as he walked.

She pulled her hair out of her eyes. The others seemed to be watching her like she would explode. Or maybe melt into a female tengu. She sighed and looked at the setting sun. They continued walking...and crossed over a broad river. Sayuri gave them all a look that clearly said "don't follow me" and walked upstream. The others waited patiently. She was still covered in blood and obviously wanted to get rid of it.

A good distance away, she stripped down to nothing and plunged into the icy waters. She scrubbed herself, then her clothes, then waited for everything to dry. In the meantime, she polished her sword and redid the creases in her oragami.

In a little while, she came walking back to the others, looking clean and sweet.

"It figures she has some demon blood in her" kyp thought as sayuri came back to the group. They started on their way again. "If I was allowed too I would make A comment, but i'm A man of my word and I said I wouldn't untill the end of this mission" kyp thought as they walked. Sayuri looked at kyp and kaiser waiting for them to make A remark but nether of them did. "Now what was I told about this sword" kyp thought as he walked. If he was going to fight sayuri later and use the info that he herd A while ago he would need to rember what he was told.

What is it with you and capatalizing A when it should be lower case? And another thing for everyone here....try spacing out your posts. It makes it more readable for those of us with bad eyes.

Sayuri sighed and rested her hand on the hilt of her sword. It had not failed her yet, although her own body had. And the people around her would be around to see the end. If they lived even that long.

The nuns were watching her. Through the eyes of everything around them. Lighting ohanna for every creature that died at her hands. Offering up a prayer for the lost. They waited for the day when she would return purified.

Jay.. are you even in this rpg?

Ken walked along minding his own business. He kept his eyes low to the ground, being careful not to look at anybody. He was doing a technique that would allow him to meditate while walking. It was very difficult, and seldom worked for him. But finally it was.

He was brining himself into a state of peacefulness, and in this peacefulness he would be able to plan his future actions against the compound they were going to attack. He saw the attack going many ways, mostly as failures. He saw each person in this troupe dying with several wholes in there bodies. Then on the brighter side he would see them victorious, but still with casualties. It was very hard for him to keep the bad images out of his head.

His meditation was going along quite well, that is until he stubbed his toe on a rock. He jerked his head up descretely and let his eyes dart around nervously, looking at each of his companions, making sure they were still alive.

Quite suddenly, he felt Sayuri's breath on his neck. She had swiftly dodged around his fileld of vision into the place in his blind spot. Her hand touched his ear. He arched his neck and waited. She beathed into his ear, words only he could hear.

"When we camp for the night, you and I have a date with our blades."

He looked her in the eye. She smiled back, glittering and shimmering. He nodded and she continued walking ahead of him once more.

Trance had keep her voice ligth enough as not to perk Wolf's ears. seems she remembered what he said. all he could do was smile at the actions and continue. they had acouple more miles to go and then they would be there. Wolf was still strugleing with the thought to attack when they got there, or rest a bit and plan the assault fully. either way there was room for failure. it was clear by the light they would need one more day of traveling. seemes the wolf had underestimated the path length.

Kyp: these road seems to never end.

Wolf: seems my memory of this place has faded over time, so i guess here is as good a place as any. will camp here and i'll finish my story.

the group found a incirclement of trees for there resting spot and sat watching Wolf.

Wolf: alright, i guess its time for me to tell you everything. the man that leads this samurai group is my brother Twilight. we were both trained in the new ways of samurai but he went a diffrent path. i choose that of the animals, and he choose that of the upper sky. which in turn lead him down a harder road of training. mine was a walk in the park compaired to his. everyday he would come home and mother would tend to his wounds. each time the wounds got deeper until he was finally given his scar to were his name resides. a cresent shaped scar that almost completed a circle. he called it the twilight dawning. with his scar he gained full understanding of his skills. his path made him much stronger than i could have ever dreamed, but there was one thing that i found that he didn't, love. i found a beautiful women to which i was ready to spend mt life with. however Twilight saw things diffrently. he attacked my house under cover of night. i awoke as he entered my front door which to this day i am still thankful to my teachings for. i tried to head him off, but his speed was more then i could follow. his blade found my lovers neck, and made him the stronger once again. i challenged him and by which was given these scars on my face. he mocked my teachings and said now i look like my name. he also cursed my love, and with that i took his left eye. i don't remember after that until i awoke outside the fort's gate and no more than my sword and cloths on my back. i found my fathers old school and finished my training there. when i heard of my brother taking the gun i sent him a message. i read, if you dishonor the code of the samurai i shall eclipse your twilight. he sent the letter back with the riders head, and a bullet through it. so here i am now, hopeing that the gun has dulled his sword and my final training has made me his equal. so, when we get to the fort all the gunmen and guards are your, but my brother is mine alone. i feel we will not see him until we clear the lot out. which in that case you are to watch are battle and no more. i must bring honor back to that fort and my heart. if i fail, then your free to do as you wish.

the others just listened and thought. it was alot to hear at that time of day. no comments were made just nods and eyes saying yes.

Sayuri felt for him, but said nothing. Instead she let him make the camp up, helping here and there. The group laid out their things for the night and Sayuri set down her pack. Then....she stripped down to her skirt and right glove, then picked up her naked longblade and walked into the woods. Ken watched her go, then followed. Wolf watched them go, half smiling.

They knew enough to stay out of trouble, and not get tired out for tomorrow.

Once out of the earshot of even Wolf, Sayuri raised her blade and closed her eyes. Ken smiled in response.

Ken: A blind spar?

Sayuri: Only if you promise not to peek.

Ken: Very well.

He closed his eyes and raised his katana. The two circled eachother slowly, blades flickering with their movements. She went low, then attacked.

Wolf left the camp to find some lumber for a fire.
As he entered the small woods, a figure approached from behind.
Wolf: Who are you and what business do you have with me.
Wolf turned to see Arus.
Wolf: I thought you had a favor to complete.
Arus: That man...your brother. He has one eye and a crescent scar?
Wolf: So it was you eavesdropping. Yes, that's him.
Arus: He is the one that burned my village to the ground.
Wolf: Now I'm starting to get the picture.
Arus: Since 6 swords are better than one, would you allow me to travel with you?
Wolf: If you want.
Arus: Thank you.

Oh good, you've seen it. And no, we won't slowly remove eachother's clothes with our blades. Although that was really cool in the movie....and he was really hot for a squaresoft character....and I'll just shut up now and wait for him to post.

Ken dropped his sword down and blocked the hit, it was pure luck. He hadn't done many blind spars, and he was straining his ears to concentrate. He raised his katana above his head and blocked a hit to the head. He drew his wakizashi in time to block a hit to the chest. By the gods she is fast!! Ken thought as he struggled to be able to hear her swords.

After five minutes he had broken out into a sweat, and was starting to breathe harder, but from what he could hear, she was breathing normally. He was having trouble keeping up. An idea occured to him, one that may give him some time to breathe. He let his wakizashi get knocked out of his hand, then he kicked out with his foot as quickly as possible, connecting with her stomach. He heard her take a quick intake of air, and he jumped back to try and catch some of his breath.

She smiled slightly, despite the pain. She half opened one eye, and watched him gasp for air through her thick lashes. Then she turned and leapt upwards, katana ready. He turned to follow the swish of air and the two let their blades grind into eachothers. She grinned to herself and shoved forwards, bringing their faces closer together. Sweating, panting for air, only one of them smiling.

Ken: You're good.

Sayuri: ...I try.

Her eyes snapped together and beneath her lashes. He stared through his own, seeing her outline through his lids. She kissed him sweetly, quickly, leaving him in an advanced state of shock. Then she whipped around and left a light shallow scar on his neck. He touched it, then regained himself.

The kiss had shocked him, and the cut on the neck did too. He wiped away most of the blood, but there was a small trickle. He brought his sword up, but he was feeling really tired. He shook his head a couple of times before doing anything else, trying to clear his head.

"Before we continue, might I ask why we are sparring?" He asked, wondering what kind of answer he would be given.

Sayuri: For the sake of fighting. Of course.

Ken: Anything else?

Sayuri: Because I always wanted to be alone and fight with somebody like you.

He blushed slightly, and she grinned. Then she drew her blade across his neck, not enough to leave a scar.....or even a mark. Just a gentle touch. How could she have so much control?

Their blades swiftly clashed again, parry, thrust, stop. Do it all over again, th \is time facing eachother. His blade touched her shoulder, drawing a slight ammount of blood. She flipped backwards then paused. Smiled. Both of them were sweating lightly, breathing deeply. She leaned on her blades and opened her eyes.

Sayuri: All good fun. You can look now.

Ken opened his eyes, he had to blink a few times to get them feeling back to normal. He looked her over and nodded slightly, then without saying anything he walked over and found his wakizashi, he sheathed both of his swords and turned to her again.

"I think that is enough sword play for one night," He said to her, wondering if she would attack again. He wiped his brow, taking the beads of sweat off, and with one final large intake of breath, his breathing returned to normal.

Sayuri: Don't worry. I only attack the armed.

Ken: You actually follow the rules?

Sayuri: Only if they are worth it.

Her hair fell around her face, free from its restraining hold and she smiled quietly. He wondered if he was being to forward, but touched her face anyways....her wounded shoulder. She placed her hand over his and pressed down around the blood.

Sayuri: ....thank you.

Wolf and there new friend had beded down for the night but Wolf was still up. he decided to wait for Sayuri and Ken to get back. i told himself it was guard duty. just to make sure nothing was going to happen. the last thing they needed was a attack to weaken there froces now. they would need all the strength they could muster in order to attack such a fort.

Wolf; i can only hope that my abilities with a sword have grown since then and his has not. i can only hope he will try to fight wiht the gun first. if he does it will guve me the extra advantage of first strike.

Wolf thought through how he would go about fighting his brother. all way ended with him or both of them dieing. for he could only think of the fights from what he knows. he also wondered about the men that could use the guns, and if they might face some new form of it. the sword evolved so the gun must be able to as well. what else could this weapon be capable of?

"You're welcome," Ken said quietly, slighty shocked by what he is doing. He could feel the wound pulsing under his touch, trying to bleed, but he was able to keep it from doing so.

Ken stared into her eyes and was captured by them. Slowly he was drawn forward by an unseen force, his lips brushed hers, then with more force he kissed her.

Sayuri gave little or no resistance, but Ken thought he came to his senses and pulled back, looking frightened. "I.. I'm sorry."

She smiled slightly, eyes closing partway.

Sayuri: It's alright. I....kind of hoped you would.

He touched her face and she blushed prettily. Then she turned and walked back to the camp.

Her sword was sheathed quickly and she avoided Wolf's penetrating stare.
