Ken smiled faintly as he followed her back to the camp. His face straightened when he saw Wolf still awake. He made his face a mask, to hide anything that may be showing. He gave him a curt nod, then found a spot against a tree, and started to doze into a restful sleep.

As he slept, he dreamt about sparing with a beautiful lady. The faint smile grew again on his face as he slept.

She curled up completely and relaxed her body. The cloak covering her absorbed her body's essence once more, drawing down the scent of sweat and grass. Sayuri closed her eyes and felt her blood hum through her veins. Tengu blood. In her body. The power of a demon. Perhaps it would be enough to ensure their survival tomorrow. Hopefully.....she and Ken would live to someday exact their revenge properly.

And then there was always the thought of their traveling companions....what they would do.

the sun broke through the trees and awoke the travelers. the other could now see they gained a member over the night. Wolf introduced them all and they were off once more. with Wolf getting the distance wrong they would be at the fort in a few hours.

Sayuri: are we still going to wait until night fall to attack the fort?

Wolf: that i havn't decided yet. it would play in are favor more to go during the cover of darkness, but i'm afraid if we stay to long my brother my learn of are presents.

Ken: then will just have to be less noticealbe upon arriving.

Kyp: we could just as easily make camp outside the main town and wait there.

Wolf: thats not a bad idea. good thinking Kyp.

Sayuri: well it appears you do have some use.

the group traveled on and would reach the town in which the fort lay in. they would make camp on the outskirts and plan there attack. it would have to be carefully done if they were to win this battle. for it would not be a quick and easy fight this time. all there skills would be put to the test.

As they neared the town, Sayuri took out her cloak and completely covered herself. Bare skin, short tunic, belt, scabbard and all. It would not do to advertise her body any more than was absolutely necessary... It had gotten her into trouble more than once. And that was enough for her. She tied her hair back and pulled the hood completely over her face.

Wolf looked at her, now shrouded completely by dark folds of fabric.

Wolf: Better.

Sayuri: ....just hope nobody gets a good look at my face. It won't go well after that.

Ken: Why not?

Sayuri: ...I've been here before. The results were negative.

"I am not even surrprised by that" kyp said as he jumbed into a tree for A better view point of the town. Sayuri just didn't say any thing and just gave kyp one of her evil looks. "Well I hope you two have fun" kyp said as he droped out of the tree. "And where are you going" sayuri asked. "I'm going to look around the town and get some information" kyp said as he ran off. "That's not A bad idea things may of changed since I left" wolf said. The others didn't say any thing and prepared for the insuing battle ahead of them.

"I hope he's captured and gutted," Ken muttered to himself. Sayuri looked over at him, he had a feeling she heard him. He merely shrugged and continued walking.

They finally found their campsite, but didn't make a fire, so they wouldn't attrack unwanted guests from the town. Smoke has a bad habit of doing that. Ken sat down with his legs crossed, and stared at nothing. Waiting for the morning when they would move in, and attack.

She sat down, gathering her robes around her. With deft movements, she removed her longblade and placed it flat across her lap. She drew on her gloves, hiding her pale feminine skin. Then she rested her hands on the hilt and blade itself.

Quite and calm...watchful and waiting. She smiled and listened to the wind whisper its secrets through the trees, the birds speaking to one another. .....since when could she understand what the Raven said to his mate? Apaprently the tengu's gift was greater than she had thought.

......"I will fly tonight."

"Don't leave me here alone."

"But I must go....you understand."

She shook her head slightly. The conversation was more than confusing.

all Wolf could do was stand and look at the fort. he heard and saw nothing fro once. all he could see and hear was in that fort. he had focused his abilities and could hear some of the guards speaking. most talked about there day, or of what they shot in sport. some had tails of getting lucky last night, or almost getting lucky. he couldn't get his ears to find his brother. it seemed Twilight was prepared for his brothers gifts and knew better then to put himself in ear shot of him. it was still clear the fort was oblivious to there camp, or that of the roaming Kyp. he figured most of the information was goingto be of what the do on a normal day. which probally meant how many people they shot. Ken was setting, legs crossed and sword to his side, meditating. Wolf drew his sword which brought the others to attention. Wolf didn't draw his sword unless there was trouble, but this time was different. the white haired warrior pointed the blade at what he thought his brothers main room might be. he raised the blade up a bit, then slashed down and put the sword away in one motion.

Wolf: your rain has come to an end dear brother. its time to make way for a new ruler of your set of power. fate can only hope your succeser will be pure hearted unlike you.

the others heard Wolf's words and agreed to them. they knew tomorrow there was a chance they all could die, and that was a risk they were prepared to take. Wolf turned to his compainions and smiled. this throw all of them for a lop and almost made them worry about him.

sayuri: Wolf, your scaring us.

Wolf: this will to a guess. i am prode to have fought along side each one of you. in each of your own ways you have a reason for doing this, and i only thank you for doing it with me. i hope you don't mind my boldness but i conseder you all family now, and will repay you anyway i can.

Ken: that is very bold of you indeed, but i think all of us even Kyp will be honored.

Wolf: thank you, and to start i hope you will let me join you and Sayuri's adventure to punish her enemies.

Ken: i see nothing wrong with it, but you'll have to ask sayuri.

Ken looked at the ground, having finished his bit of brown-nosing. He didn't really want Wolf to accompany him and Sayuri, but like he said that was her decision. He just couldn't believe that he had lied to him. Oh well, it doesn't matter, what's done is done.

But a question did arise to his mind, one that had been bugging him for quite some time.

"Wolf, surely that is not your real name, considering it is 'The' Wolf. It sounds more like a title. If you consider us family shouldn't you at least give us your real name?" Ken asked.

OOC: That question may have already been asked, but I can't remember. If so.. tell me and I'll edit.

The only female present was half listening to their conversation...not really carring what they discussed. She would eventually pick up the very important details later. Ken tapped her on the shoulder and she looked up.

Sayuri: ....

Ken: You alright?

Sayuri: .....yeah.

Wolf: you are right, and i should. my name Wolf was given to me for my scars and my nature style of fighting. my real name is Naito Getsuin.

Ken: Naito, well then what would you prefer?

Wolf: i;ve grown fond of Wolf. it suits me best for what i am doing. i may take my real name up again once i've done all i can do.

Sayuri: a retirment name, as so not to befall any venditas that Wolf may aquire.

Wolf: sort of, i guess.

then Kyp arived and told what he had found out. not much to really use but it gave them the lay out of the guards and the shift changes.

Kyp: they stay alert at all times. they change the guards out every 30 minutes, and have about five guys for one post switching out.

Kaiser: giveing the others time to rest and backing up and would be ninja. your brother is quiet smart.

Wolf: he does ok, but he got the strength and i the speed. so i devloped my brain faster as to be able to fight with my gift better.

Sayuri: so, should we try sneaking in?

Ken: if one of us slips up it will bring a hail of bullets upon us all.

Wolf: yes, thats why we shouldn't all go in like that. sayuri and Kaiser will. there the two best suited for that part.

Sayuri: the clumsey ninja will get us all killed.

Wolf: no, i think he'll do just fine this time. there's more at stake here.

Kaiser: thank you Wolf, i will not let you down.

Wolf: ok, Kyp and Arus will sneak in as well but in a diffrent way. Arus is too skilled in stealth so i'd like you two to go supply cart. if memory servies me right. there is a supply cart that brings food and supplies to the fort every morning. take the cartmens place, but don't kill them. this is not there fight.

Ken: and as for us?

Wolf: were going in throught the front gate.

the group gave him a shocked look, then Sayuri smiled.

Sayuri: i get it, your going to play your brother for a fool. i think my methods are rubbing off on you Wolf.

Wolf: could be, but yes i am. or more importantly his big head. he'll love seeing me at his feet.

the group smiled and noded to the plan. they would stay the night at the camp, and wake early next morning to begin. they turned in early as to be fully retsed come the attack.

Sayuri: ...well, in that case...

She stepped into the woods, unlosing the drawstrings of her pack as she walked. Once in near solitude, she removed her clothes, peice by peice, leaving on the jewelry....then slipped into the complete red thong/slitskirt and rag top look. She adjusted her swordbelt to better suit the look of ....slut.

She folded her things and stowed them away quietly. Then she walked back....and was greeted by several open stares.

Wolf: ....well...

Sayuri: What?

Ken: You don't look quite like...

Sayuri: It's what allows greater freedom of movement. If you have a problem, save it for later.

Ken shook his head, "No.. I don't have a problem with it." He found himself occasionally staring at her, but eventually he shook his head and the thoughts cleared his mind. He had to be clear of mind in order to be able to walk through the front door, he also had to be slightly crazy as well.

He walked over to Sayuri, wanting to ask her a question. "Sayuri, when I asked if you were alright, and you said you were.. You were lying weren't you? What is really bothering you?"

She leaned up against him, lips on his ear. And what she said was missed by everyone but him.

Sayuri: I can hear the birds around us....speaking to themselves, gossiping and chatting. ...it is more than disturbing.

Ken: Why?

Sayuri: ....it just is. And I'll be distracted when I should be fighting for my life. A danger to the rest of you....but I'll fight anyways.

"You won't be a danger to us, as soon as the fighting starts most birds will be scared away. But I'll do my best to get to your side and help you. I couldn't bear to lose you now." Ken replied to her.

Sayuri didn't seem to know how to respond to this, as if she wasn't totally used to somebody wanting to protect her like this. He smiled and put a hand on her cheek reassuringly. Then turned and started to walk away.

She smiled slightly, then turned to look at Wolf. He seemed to be thinking deeply. She padded over silently, having removed her boots. He turned as soon as she was near. His hair blew past his face, and she brushed it away with the side of her oragami.

Wolf: Are you prepared?

Sayuri: ...yes. But as to your question. No, I do not want you to come.

Wolf: ....I understand.

Sayuri: Thank you though....it means a great deal.

Wolf: just promise me you and Ken will get one for me.

Sayuri: i think we can do that.

Wolf: ok then, the sun is starting to fall, so i think we should get are rest now. if we do this right most of the guards will probally be lazy with the rising sun.

the group beded down for the night and tried to clear there mind so they could sleep better and be more rested. tomorrow the plan would come into play, and who knows what will happen.

She laid down quietly, then...in the fashion the nuns had taught her, drew her blade, placing it vertically over her stomach, chest, stoping just at her throat. The others stared, and Ken was about to ask her what the hell she was doing, when she fell completely out of this world and into the next.

Voices. Laughing all around her. Painfully now. Tengu arms caressing hers

"So....this is our new little sister?"

"I am NOT A TENGU!"

"But you are. Killed one of us, drank our blood. And now a sister."

"No! I can't be a demon!"

"Too late..."

Wolf was finding it hard to sleep himself. although his nightmares seemed trifle over Sayuri's. though no one else would probaly ever know what she was going through at this point. Wolf kept dreaming of his brother running his blade throw all of them except him. he was made to watch what he had brought upon them. he kept telling himself that it they made the decision to come, so it wasn't his doing. never the less it didn't work. midway through the night he awoke in a cold sweet. he wondered to the near by stream to calm his nerves and meditate.

Their hands grew clawed and rough, grabbing her painfully.

"You will never die."

"I'll....slash my wrists."

"It will never work. There is only one way to end your time with life...and that is not known to any but the Demon Aih himself...too bad."

"NOOO!!!"

She screamed the words, and came awake violently at the same time. Gasping and panting for air, covered in cold sweat.

Arus was very quiet, sitting in an upright position seeming to be asleep except he left one eye open. He wasn't disturbed, as he had been trained to meditate if unable to sleep. But he always felt like leaving an eye open, ever since his childhood. He finally decided to meditate. Heclosed his eyes and folded his arms. He felt the falling sensation, the sleep-like state, and he eventually slipped into meditiation.

Flames were burning everywhere, the village was falling apart. Dead people were lying on the ground, and among them, Arus saw the priest who had raised him. As he continued to make his way, he saw the two nuns-he had heard them screaming earlier, so as to spare him, until he got away.

As he frightfully picked his way around the corpses and blazes, he saw a figure in the distance. It was that man-the stranger who came to this village, set it aflame, and let loose his samurai lackeys on the innocents.

Arus looked around, there was a charred rusty blade on the ground. He picked it up and ran towards the man. He turned around and with one slash, sent Arus flying backwards, an open slash in his chest.

Arus opened his eyes, breathing heavily. He must have fallen asleep. That familiar scene was seven years ago. He had killed that samurai that caused all that pain. He then settled down in a wuiet village. But that village, too burned to the ground. The townspeople were massacred by guns, he lost all his friends. This time, he turned to the man with the crescent scar for revenge.
Arus clen clenched his fists.
Arus: Never again...
He then slipped into meditation

Wolf heard Sayuri awaken. she too saw him and walked over to the stream.

Wolf: you too?

Sayuri: you could say that.

Wolf: water always helps me calm down. it's calm in its own, so i try to take that state of mind.

Sayuri: wish it was that easy for me.

Wolf: we all have are own demons to face. for some there real demons.

Sayuri just watched the watre flow across the rocks and roots. Wolf still had no idea what Sayuri was going through, but he made a good guess with his statement.

Wolf: we really should try to get some rest. you may have demons but you also have friends too. i don't know many demons that have friends.

with that Wolf walked back to his spot and tried to resume sleeping. Sayuri stood by the stream for a while longer going through everything in her head.

Ken slept peacefully, but it was still a light sleep. So he woke up each time somebody woke up gasping for breath. He figured most of them were having nightmares, possibly triggered by the anticipation of the oncoming battle.

Ken saw that Sayuri was one of the ones that had awaken from a nightmare, and saw her standing over by a stream. He silently stood and walked over to her, not wanting to disturb her from her thoughts, he stood by as silent support, though he doubted she even knew he was there.

She turned, and fell. He caught her up in his arms and she sobbed hysterically. He didn't catch anything she said except blood...and something that could've been tengu. She didn't stop crying....until every tear was spent.

He stroked her hair reassuringly and she burried her face in his chest.

Ken wondered why he was so insensitive all his life, because now he did not know how to deal with this. He just kept stroking her hair reassuringly, trying his hard to figure his next move.

"Just let it out, and tell anything you think you should tell, I'm here for you now." Ken said to her, not knowing what else to say.
