The air wipped my wings gently around my body. How good it felt to smell the scents of the upper world again. The air below was stale and old. But this... I inhaled deeply... This woudn't last.

I turned around to look at the demons behind me. The just sat there, chatting idly with eachother, and waiting for my signal. I watched one insert an index finger into his nose, and return with a wonderful trinket of green slime. Somewhere from far below a blast issued. A large artillery shell flew into my ranks. It exploded in a flash of green light and whisps of green energy. A few of my warriors shrieked, being burned or hit with shrapnel, but there was no real damage from the Gamma Bursts.

I held up my hand. All chatter stopped. A rising feeling of anticipation filled the area. Three thousand demons for the first wave. I sneered.

Ryan- "Plenty..." I let my hand drop with leisurely grace. The demons sped past me on their leathery wings. Many crashed through buildings, causing them to crumble and fall. Many more took to the street, destroying the humans by hand. Just the feel of taking a life... I shook my head and brought out a black crystal orb. I tapped it three times. "Arano. You may proceed whenever you see fit. The first strike has begun. You have the next move." I didn't need to see him to know he was smiling. I pocketed the orb and waited. Arano was the best our masters army had. I was anxious to say the least.

WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON?! I screamed in my mind. I then realised how right I was in choosing not to vocalise anything as three beasts flew past. And people say the bronx is bad, Je-SUS!
I saw one them lift up a person, and throw him through a wall. Here I was, tucked up against a wall holding two uzis, and there was something that had just thrown a guy through a wall. Well there eyes weren't shielded, and their face and stomach didn't look that hard. There must be a way to kill these things, and I'm sure going to find out if guns can do something.
Click! Click! Click!
I heard sounds of taloned feet approaching over the screams of human horror, and snarls of deamon delight. Well it seemed as though now seemed as good a time as any to find out if my weapons of choice can deal with the things. I picked up a rock just to my left, and hurled it further down the alley I was currently occupying.
SMASH!
The sound of breaking glass greeted my ears, and that of the deamon no more then 10 feet away. Something sped past me, as I swept around to see the back of the deamon, staring up at the wall. The beast turned and saw the barrels of my guns. The beast then saw the barrels of my guns flash. The beast then could see no more. It howled in pain as the bullets tore through it's eyes, and embedded themselves in his brain. The howling quickly stopped.
I walked closer to it slowly, and emptied a full clip from the metal object in my left hand into its head. Can't be too careful, I thought to myself. Oh well, at these things die like everthing else.

His tail flicked quietly to and fro besides him as patience faded into annoyance, great unyielding annoyance. Finally he heard the whispering call in his ear to begin, a pleasured grin spreading firmly over his face. He turned, walking down the darkened alley, letting his tail scrapealong the brickwall.

But, first, he had to confirm something with his superior officer.. the look of annoyance fell back on his face, stopping in his tracks.

Unas: Is there anyone in my area?

Carried by the wind, a reply came back to him quickly.

???: No, not right now. Mainly in the north. You're the only person in the southeast part of the city.

Unas: Am I clear for mass destruction spells?

???: It isnt neccessary. Use the two lesser ones to your pleasure. I'll send a small detatchment down there as well..

Unas snorted, takeing off his cloak- It disappeared in a small puff of smoke, leaving him dressed in a loose-fitting, baggy pair of black pants. The material was unknown, tied firmly at his waist with a belt made of scales, the buckle a small metal buckle shaped like a snake. Reaching back, he drew his sword from its sheath, stepping out into plain veiw of many hurried people.

Most of them glanced at him oddly for his attire, before noticeing next his tail- more of the strange glances going to his tail, then to his sword. A nearby electronics store was full of TV's, all showing the same channel- but it was quickly interuppted by the local news, images of what was going in the north part flashing across the screen. People yelled and pointed to the TV, instantatiously a crowd formed.

Suddenly, their gazes returned to the stranger infront of them, as his blade dripped quietly onto the ground below him. With one quick slice, 4 bodies were already toppling to the ground, the blood splattering across the ground behind and around them. Panic broke out, but Unas' attention flicked to his right. A heavyset man came out of his store, shotgun in hand and a smirk on his face. He stood infront of Unas, less than a foot away sizeing him up. G

Man: Want some, *****?

Unas fingers traced along his blade, collecting the mix of the Bane poison and blood. He flicked the liquid in the man's face, a light sizzleing noise flowing like music into Unas' ears. His agnonized yells of pain were dulled out by the sound of a stampede. People were running every which way they could, trying to escape from the horror that they feared would come.

And it had come, and it was bloodthirsty.

And there was blood to be spilt.

Unas: Like great crimson rivers! Manifest ye Gods if you wish to face the wrath of that which was birthed from the vat. Foolish sows...

He lept into the air, moving faster than any of the mortals could. *CRACK!* Cracking skulls along with punctured wounds were being givern left and right, his tail cleaning up all those he somehow missed. The blood began to flow quietly into nearby stormdrains, and an armed rag-tag militia rounded the corner behind Unas, all armed with non-holy conventional weapons. They would fight for this neighborhood, no matter what.

In a tight formation they marched twards Unas, whos back was turned to them. Sword set firmly between the heaving breasts of young woman, his tail's end slit her throat open to end the gurgled gasps. The sound of loading guns snapped his reflexes. Quickly slideing the sword out of the woman, he flipped around to glance at his would-be attackers. All of them had their aim, and their fingers were ready to pull the trigger.

He slammed his sword into the asphault a few feet to the left as the guns fired, leaning on it and takeing a heaving leap into the air. Free hand grabbing onto the buildings exterior, he eyed the pitiful militia and pushed off of the wall face.

"Calas Mortum."

His raspy voice echoed repeatadly in the humans ears in the strangest manner, the demon sailing overhead with his right palm outstretched. A huge ball of neon green liquid suddenly hurdled down into the center of their formation, pain inflicting all of them. Their skin melted, muscles following- blood flooded the street around them. The cries of pain pleased Unas to the point of euphoria..

His hair flipped wildly in the wind, the glowing red eyes traceing the ground for any other miltia. None in sight, Unas sheathed his sword and flipped upright. Floating to the ground, the sound of footsteps caught his attention- but it was only the promised detatchment.

Demon: Arano told us to come here to assist you.

Unas thought for a moment.

Unas: Split into groups of two, spread out and kill everyone you can. If you have any trouble from something other than human-

His eyes warily traced the clouds above, growling on the word 'other'.

Unas: ..Then you will most likely be dead before I can get there.

They nodded to him, splitting into groups of two and takeing flight in various directions. Unas looked, back to the mainstreet that was still frought with panic- why was he in a backroad? Unsheathing his sword, he sprinted back to the mainstreet to continue his slaughter..

I blew a deep breath out as I studied the creature that lay on the ground before me. It's lucky that the sound of gunfire and screaming didn't draw the attention of any other deamons. I leaned against the wall, slowly sliding down it. Breathing loudly, I tried to decide what to do.
It seems that there are other people out there who are trying to fight these things, and I am too, so why not help them. It's as simple as that, and I have nothing better to do.
I stood up, and walked back up the alley, when another deamon walked past. It seemed to be just sweeping the area, searching for any humans that had been left behind. It's eyes of pitch looked down my alley, and obviously saw me, and the fallen deamon behind me.
It screamed loudly, and broke into a run. I raised my 9mm's and opened fire. Damn this things were quick.
Bullets spread unholy fluid behind the beast, but its speed kept it coming, and the thing plowed into me.
I moaned in pain and looked down at my white clothes that were now stained with deamon's blood. Hmm, thats a sentance I never thought I would think would happen.
I rolled it off me, and rose to my feet. Cold, and drenched with blood of a creature that had just risen from the depths of hell, I walked out of the alleyway, leaving two deamons behind.

Mia floated through the skies on her large feathery wings. She looked down on the world below. She heard an explosion and saw the flames. She gasped and flapped her wings and headed in the direction. She arrived and landing quietly. She ran around and checked if anyone was injured.Mia looked around trying to find a source of the explosion but no luck. They had already left the area.Mia briefly saw a figure in the corner of her eye before she was blasted by a large amount of power.Mia looked up and saw a demon.

Mia:Who are you?!

???:I am your destroyer angel!!Calas Mortum.

Mia quickly covered herself with her wings and they began to glow making a shield. The liquid green ball of mass hit the shield and rolled off the sides.Mia uncovered herself and her blade appeared in her hand.

Mia:If you want a fight bring it on!!Heaven's Charm!!!

Mia's magic spread out and surrounded the humans.

Mia:Humans.Trust me and stay in the shield. It will only disappear if you wish it to go away. You can move around and shall be protected. Now leave this area at once!!Quickly!!

The humans knew Mia quite well and had learned to trust her and they fled from the area as fast as they could.

???:Ha!You think your shields will protect those pathetic humans?!After I kill you I will kill them all one by one. Then you would have failed your mission down on earth Angel.

Mia:My name is Mia!!And you still haven't told me your name!!

OOC:Sorry if you didn't want to meet me DeathKnight but it looks like you were quite close.

Qyrain simply followed the screams. And the gunfire. Strangely enough, the gunfire was the sound that lasted longer. Perhaps whoever was out there had actually survived. It was, of course, theoretically possible, but Qyrain didn't have a lot of respect for people, angels, demons, or anything else that simply decided to say hello these days. And there were a lot of them. Hell, quite literally at times, all sorts of previously fantasy consigned creatures were appearing all over the place. Qyrain had a strange, sneaking suspicion that God, Satan or whoever else had been reading a little too much Lovecraft. But then, so had he, so he wasn't in a position to argue or accuse. He walked warily down the street, a large scythe resting easily on his shoulder, eyes alert but not really concerned. His gait was almost laconic, as if he were in complete control of the situation.

Considering the rather bloodsoaked person who just walked out of the alleyway, there probably wasn't much of a situation to be in control of. The man stopped warily, a pair of uzis aimed quite firmly at Qyrain. Qyrain raised an eyebrow, but otherwise didn't react.

Qyrain: Is enough of that blood yours to make standing around pointless?

"Not exactly"

Qyrain: Then are you going to keep aiming those at me, or would you prefer to be reasonable?

The man lowered them warily, tensing slightly as he holstered them. Qyrain rolled his eyes, and the man relaxed slightly.

Indrid: My name's Indrid Kint.

Qyrain: Qyrain Alethyne. Do you do this for fun and profit, or did you simply not have a choice this time around, and carry guns because you're paranoid?

Indrid: Do you interrogate people based on some kind of prejudice, or do you simply not have anything remotely relevant to say?

Qyrain gave a metallic, almost amused laugh, that was more sardonic irony than humour.

Qyrain: Depends on the circumstances. Did you have somewhere to be, or should we kill some more flying aberrations?

Indrid: That'll do.

Andrew took aim, and fired. Sending the Gamma Blast at a group of demons. The blast didn't kill them, but it gave Andrew an oppurtunity. He drew Kalinth's Sword and charged at the demons.
He let loose from his lips a old German battle cry as he plunged his sword into a demon. He cut out, leaving a gaping gash in the demons stomach and side. He spun around and struck at the nearest demon. Somewhere on his back he felt the claws of a demon rake his skin. But he ignored the pain that it gave him.
Moments later the fight was over. Andrew stood there, gasping for air, and holding his sword close.
"Well that wasn't so hard." He said with a slight chuckle. He suddenly became aware of the wounds he received. He could feel the pain through out his body, but he couldn't do anything about it, he had more demons to kill.

Duck. Sidestep. Cross-slash. Vertical hack. Horizontal swipe. Stab. Block. Repeat.

Arano, mostly void of all visable emotions, continued to fight his way southward from a tall buidling. He was still focused on the jump he made, falling at least twenty-five stories. Body flaired out, eyes closed, balling up, one backflip, and then colliding with the ground with a powerful quake to ignite the flare that lit his presence.

Now, these pigs dared rush him. Knives, bats, machetes. Common household items. Hell, even one foolish teen had a fork. He was the first to get split in half at the waist.

Now it was getting boring. With no challenge, this attack would proove to be fairly monotoneus. Still avoiding the pointless thrusts and blows from the pigs, Arano glanced upwards. They were just too stupid to run.

Fools.

Arano instantly kicked his legs to the side, shoulder-width, arms extened. Fire caught instantly in the dark, grey city. A huge fire ball. Fueled by a burning rage, Arano continued to force his mana outwards. For a solid minute, the sphere extended a meter per second, a giant incinerator to all who were stupid enough to wait around. When the blazing tide of heat died away, a huge bowl in the ground was carved away. Underground power lines that had not burnt up snapped and crackled with electricity.

Ten city blocks down, about a billion more to go.

Unas: .. I am Unas..

As he said that the distant explosion rocked the surronding area severely. Standing his ground, the shockwave spread over him. His eyes stared silently at Mia, hair waving wildly as windows shattered around him. Debrie rained down from the sky, body parts sporadically spread between glass and twisted metal.

Unas: We've already killed thousands. A dozen or so surviving isnt much of a victory for meddleing Angels.

He raised his swords upwards and slammed it into the ground with all his force. A loud rumble came from within the earth, and a fissure ripped in two, splitting twards Mia at a high speed, more parts cracking. Some of the pieces were sinking, others riseing- the whole area was shakeing. The ground underneath Unas feet shot upwards suddenly, as some of the fragmented landscape began to fall downwards, terror filled screams quickly being drowned out by the grounds angry awakening.

Unas: Your shields cant stop them from suffocation under a rockslide.. Save all you can, this is going to be over in fifteen seconds.

Whole sections of landscape were suddenly falling down into a seemingly endless void, leaving only islands in a sea of nothingness that took up most of the southeastern part of the city. He looked down from his ascended position at the Archangel, a wide demonic grin flowing over his face.

Unas: What can you do now, young angel? What can you do now? Maybe if you had more with you, you'd be worth the time.. but now, look at all you couldnt do- thousands dead, most huddleing in their homes as they fell to an agonizeing death.

With that he winked and lept high into the air, flying straight into another area of the city, small fires erupting across the city as the main horde finally arrived in full force.

Arano stopped in mid-step, halfway up the crater he created by expelling an only a fraction of his mana, glancing southward. Rumbling sounded lowly through the air, and buildings shook greatly. Waves buckled in the cement, the earth itself rising up and falling rapidly.

Arano: "Seems as if Unas is having fun..."

He took to the air, forcing mana outwards to take flight. He hurled forward, a black streak in the cloudy day. Speeding forward, arms at his side, straight as a bullet, Arano didn't even bother with dodging obstacles. He just plowed through the buildings that stood in his way, leaving crumbling towers in his wake.

But suddenly, he corkscrewed to the right, slinging his sword out. As soon as he brought it up, a loud clank sounded. A brief split second passed, and a flash of light emanated. The windows in a five block radius shattered at once, and the stone structures spider-webbed and cracked. Arano slid along the road, carving a rut in the blacktop street, until his right arm shot forward and he flipped himself to his feet.

He brushed off his shirt, which was tattered and torn. So he simply removed it. Detailed scars traced patterns across his flesh, giving him an eerily ghostly appearance. His assaulters soon came into view. Angels, hyped up on Haste. Three scouts. Each had short swords, steel bucklers, and steel chain mail armor. Arano turned slowly in his spot, looking at them with a relative annoyance as they fell into a triangle-like formation above him.

Angel 1: "So, demon, you dare disgrace the Lord's world with your foul, offending body?"

Arano: "Gee, and I thought I was conceited."

Angel 2: "Do not confuse arrogance with pride."

Arano: "And arrogant for that matter."

Angel 1: "Enough, scum! We shall send you back to Hell!"

All three Angels dove down, wings folded against their bodies, swords drawn back and bucklers forward. They screamed in unison a battle cry in the language of the ancients, plummeting to their foe.

All for naught.

Arano jumped backwards just as the Angels met in the point where he was standing. The first Angel flipped backwards in midair, swinging harshly with his blade. Arano blocked it with ease, sliding his opponent's weapon off course. The Demon God then slashed inwards, only to have his Angelic oppressor block it with his shield.

Arano dashed backwards, just as the Angel recovered himself, and as the other two took to the air to engage Arano. But they barely even had time to understand his motions, let alone follow them; he pushed himself forward again, blade sheathed, and his body low to the ground. His legs shot him like an arrow, and as he came within striking distance, Arano pulled his blade out. The Deloz Fury slashed out in a sharp arc. The Angel silently gasped as the sword hacked through his ribcage, completely and flawlessly cutting the foe in two.

His comrades cried out in protest, but they didn't even have time to do that before Arano was hovering above them. The second Angel flinched backwards a few inches, as Arano fell right by him, gracefully landing, bending his knees to absorb the shock of the fall.

The third Angel looked to his motionless friend. For what seemed like an eternity, nothing happened. Then, the right half of the second Angelic being slid downwards. Blood then sprayed forceful from both halves as his body came apart vertically, raging to the ground.

The last Angel, snarling at Arano, muttered a curse, before speaking loudly and angrily.

Angel 3: "Demon! You shall pay for your sins! May whatever god you believe in have mercy upon your soul, for I shall send you to meet him!"

Arano: "Fool. You have no clue what you are up against."

Arano sheathed his sword, keeping his hand on the hilt. His body slowly lowered down, preparing for a very high jump.

Angel 3: "Do you take me for an idiot?! I have seen that move once, and that is all I need to know how to counter it perfectly!"

Arano: "Heh. Sure about that?"

His sentance ended, Arano jumped upwards at a lightning speed, his body straight at a board. The Angel folded his wings, plummeting downwards. In a strong, swift pull, the Demon God of Fury slung his blade out with a great force. Could the sword actually be seen by the naked eye, for it was moving with an unparalleled speed, it would be seen to have had a black aura, a misshaped mass of necromatic energy collecting on just the blade, with tendrils shooting off rapidly.

The blades met with a clank, just as Arano yelled a sentance.

Arano: "Murtaku no Uki!"

A black flash. Seemingly, space appeared in the Earth's atmosphere, with a deafening explosion ringing out in it's wake. Soon, it died. Smoke was still in the air. Everything for a solid mile was gone. Just charred ground and a blackened figure. Arano sheathed his blade, and took a near-invisible flight southward.

Just as he disappeared from the range of the attack, half of the last Angel's sword, tip first, stabbed downwards into the soil. The ancient runes on the forged blade gained a golden, hazy glow, but slowly faded as all of the holy energy escaped from being imprisoned within the weapon...

Dragalla knelt in a pool of black liquid; her own blood. She clutched her side as it seeped the black colorless liquid. Her hand and much of her hair was drenched in it. She looked up as two men were about to turn the corner. Being psi was a perk of being a deamon, but she couldn't be sure if these men would believe her.

She sat staringi n the direction they were about to ocme from, her wavy red hair falling in front and behind her, as she wasn't wearing clothes. Her bat-like leathery red wings flexed behind her. She has lost to much blood to fly..

The two men rounded the corner and instantly took aim at her. she looked ta them with pleading eyes.

Dragalla: Sir Indrid! Sir Qyrain! Please do not harm me!

Damn, thats alot of hair I thought to myself. Hmm, oh well, what's she going to do, and if it's a trap, it doesn't matter, we were going to die anyway, and if she killed us, at least it would all be over soon. I looked over at Qyrain. Hell I didn' know if he would turn on me either, but it was a risk I was willing to take. I looked back the mass of hair, flesh and blood that lay before me.

???: Oh thankyou Indrid, thankyou Qyrain.

"But I haven't said anything yet, niether has..."

???: You forget, I can read your minds remember?

"Oh yeah, this will save precious time reserved for communication. "

Qyrain: So what is yo-...

???: My name is Dragalla.

"This is going to get annoying if you keep interrupting us, so perhaps you should let us finish saying what we were going to say , even if you know whats co-..."

Dragalla: Coming next? Ok, I'll see what I can do.

"Nice"I thought to myself, just what we need another smart *** in my group. Dragall glared at me and then replied.

Dragalla:I'm still bleeding, since it is your group I'm a part of, you should probably help me.

"Hmm, Ok, but don' be reading my mind between 11 and 12 o'clock at night, that's Indrid's time!"

Qyrain shot Indrid a raised eyebrow. Very disturbing.... He didn't comment though. He wasn't exactly sure how much first aid would help a demon, but trying was probably the course of action. He kept his thoughts fairly still, earning him an annoyed glare from Dragella.

Dragella: That isn't that neccessary.

Qyrain: Neither is anything else.

He doctored the wound fairly efficiently, using a supply of bandages from his back pack. He ended using vodka to clean the wound though. Probably not the best thing for it, but what could you do. The bandages were wrapped tight around her stomach, up onto her lower ribs, leaving it fairly stiff, but effective. Even if were a human, Qyrain would have set the odds to survival.

Qyrain: You'll live.

Dragella: I gathered that a few minutes ago. You have my thanks.

Qyrain: I gathered that.

Dragella: What from?

Qyrain: The fact that you seemed pretty concerned about your incipient mortality. The blood loss isn't as bad as it first seems. But I don't recommend doing anything strenuous for a while.

Mia growled angrily and took to the skies and looked for golden glitters of light that indicated the innocents. She flew down and broke through the stones covering them. She quickly gathered them and lifted them from the destruction area.Mia smiled at them before flying back. But when she flew back it was too late and many innocents were lost from suffocation.Mia felt her heart rench as she felt the many innocents die and their souls leaving to their destination based on their lives on earth.Mia fell to the ground and lay in a crumpled heap of feathers and clothes.Mia stared at the sky and hoped she would meet Unas again someday and she would get revenge for the death of the many innocent lives.

Mia got up weakly and spread her wings widely before flying back to the humans she had saved.Mia looked at them hopelessly.they knew that the others were dead from the look on Mia's face.

Mia: Do not fear humans. You shall be protected...

She said to them soothingly. She saw that she had saved a little girl and her mother.

Girl:Mummy...Where's daddy?

Mother:*sob*Daddy's gone sweety. But he'll be watching over you...

Mia closed her eyes briefly before re-opening them and looking at the little girl.

Mia: Do not fear.Your father was a brave and heroic man.He has made it safely to heaven and I can say he is watching over you and always will be.

The little girl sobbed briefly before nodding and hugging her mother tightly.

The mother looked up at Mia with tears in her eyes. She mouthed silently "Thank you".Mia smiled and replied to the mother in thought speak "It was no problem.Just take care of your daughter.I shall be watching over you too."

Then Mia flew away with the wind of healing under her wings giving her hope after seeing the little girl and her mother.Mia sighed and left off to find other humans that needed protection or help.

Arano whirled around. Somebody was laughing at him. And it was a female...a rather pretty female. And an....angel? Ananda laughed again, then leapt down from her vantage point on a still standing rooftop. She folded her thick wings, once white, now darkened to a creamy mocha and smiled at him, showing dazzling white teeth. He gave her a once over....then another. Several facial scars and tattoos, accented on her otherwise smooth tanned skin.

Ananda: Well done. They were looking for me, but I suppose you'll do well in my place.

Arano: And you are?

Ananda: ...Ananda Megelani. Neo Angelorum pressed into unwilling service. And you?

Arano: ...Arano. Demon God.

Ananda: Pleasure.

She walked by him, head turning slightly to take in a vew of his finely sculpted muscles from the back....then flicked her wings out, brushing them against his shoulderblades. He turned.

A playful one....more than she previously seemed. He turned, but she had already disapeared, leaving behind a single white pinion feather.

Andrew was slammed against a wall, his breath was knocked out of him. Well this demon's to big, time to run! he thought to himself. He staggered up onto his feet and started running as fast as he could. He couldn't defeat this demon by himself, so he had to find a group of somebodies, hopefully it wouldn't be another demon.

Andrew turned a corner and saw two humans facing a demon, Well this'll do, he hoped. He skidded to a stop and had his sword pointing to the demon.

"Don't kill her!" One of the men said. Andrew just gave a puzzled look.

She purred to herself, wings wrapped around her slender pale body. Before she could move again, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned, blade in hand. It clashed against the blade of her old friend, Captain Tal. She paused, and withdrew her blade. He frowned. Angry with what he saw.

Tal: Fraternising with the demons?

Ananda: ...casual flirtation.

Tal: That's against the rules. The General warned me about you. He said you needed to be put down.

Ananda: I am unwilling to serve with the people that caused my mortality's destruction.

Tal: Well then?

Ananda: I won't be a servant to El. Not for you, or anyone else.

Tal: ....then we've reached a parting of ways.

Ananda: I'm afraid so.

Tal: Goodbye then. Our blades will never cross again.

She sighed and turned away. Then whipped herself around again, impaling him on her bloodsword. His face contorted in agony, and she gave him a look akin to compassion. Coughing up blood....wings folding in death.

Tal: Why?

Ananda: I have no place with you or your kynn. And I do not want this to be known.....I am sorry.

Tal: ...may your tortured soul find peace.

She drew her blade from his chest and slashed his throat. Silver blood stained it......steaming with light. A single tear fell to earth and she sighed once more. They would leave her alone after this....not everyone was able to slay a Captain...especially one like him. A smaller female appeared next to her, wings newly fledged. She turned.

Ananda: Go away Renayoshi. Before I have to kill you.

Renayoshi: I bring you a message from Tai Alujah.

Ananda:....denied. I am no longer one of her kynn. I am disvowed.

Renayoshi: She is aware. She sends her apologies and wishes for your well being.

Ananda: Is that all?

Renayoshi: She gives you this.

She handed the Neo Angelorum a small almulet. It contained a pure starseed. Unstained for now. She slipped it over her head and kissed Renayoshi's head. The little angel smiled and disappeared. She smiled slightly. They were so cute at that age. Then she turned and walked away. Her wings dripped blood slightly, covered in Tal's essence....giving them a new power. Painful and sorrowful.

Alicia walked through the streets, slightly fearful. She wasn't afraid for her life, or something useless like that. In all this death and destruction, she felt more connected to the world then any other time she could remember. But that was only ten years, and not much had happened in that short bit of time. She looked up at the sky, feeling a deeper peace than any she had ever known. Another demon came swooping down at her. She closed her eyes tightly and slashed with the large blade in her hands, hoping she didn't hurt it too badly. To her dismay, it lay dead in the street in front of her. She continued walking, unconscious of where she went. She heard someone yell and awoke from her stupor, thinking someone was in danger. She quickly rounded the corner and stared blankly at the scene. "Odd, very odd." She looked to the man with the sword in his hand (Andrew). "What's going on here?"

It was blacker than midnight's tears.

There were dead bodies piled everywhere around him.

Yet he was sitting, stareing, waiting, contemplateing.

Even somewhat bored.

Dark clouds of poison rested across the immediate area, chokeing humans quickly giving in- Dieing an agonizeing death of pain, desperately trying to get one breath of untainted air. You couldnt see beyond your hands, you couldnt breath, you couldnt scream. You only died.

The city layed in ruins, most of it either totally destroyed or barely standing- next to the crater Arano created, and the pit Unas had created. Only parts of the North side remained, and most of the south was desolate from the slaughter brought about by the horde.

This formerly major Atlantic coast city had been destroyed in half a day, with 10 percent of the demon forces true numbers- and with all the killing, those numbers would grow in less than a few days Unas gussed.

Unas looked to the side where a little girl stood, stareing at him. His eyebrows arched- the poison wasnt affecting her?

Little Girl: < YOUR FORCES HAVE WON THIS BATTLE, DEMON. BUT THE SERAPHIM ARE WATCHING, AND OUR WRATH IS STRONGER THAN YOUR MIGHT >

The voice was a males, and it resonated throughout the area in a harsh tone. Angry angels, how amusing.

Unas: What can you do? Arano alone killed your 'scouting' party. Headed to the fissure were they?

Little Girl?: < WE CAN AWAKEN THEIR POWERS WITHIN A FEW WEEKS, THEN WE'LL SEE WHO HAS THE POWER OVER WHOM >

Unas: What powers?

He snorted.

Unas: Surely humans alone cant manage the ebb and flow of mana to their aid.

Little Girl?: < DONT DOUBT THEIR POWER, THEY ARE CREATED BY GOD AS WE ARE >

Unas: Doubt what power?

Little Girl?: < YOU WILL SEE, UNAS >

Unas: I'm sure I will, Micheal.

The little girl disappeared, Michael appearing in all his glory- 2 sets of wings, a large broad sword at his side. He carried the girl off to heaven personally- she had been dead when the Seraphim had found her.

Unas: It's too late.. A few weeks is all we need.

Dragalla looked up, eyes full of thanks to the man whom patched her wounds. She stood and her face flusterd slightly. She was after all not wearing anything.

Dragalla: Um..do you know of any place I could attain..some..clothing?

She blushed slightly again and flexed her leathery wings, happy for them ot be mobile, but she would need a bit of rest before she could fly again.

She looked to Qyrain, then to Indrid. They exchanged glances, and slightly lifted brows.

Indrid: Um..yeah. Of course.

Dragalla followed as Indrid started walking. She had no clue where they were going, she was staying out of their minds for the time being. Dragalla made sure and kept in between Qyrain and Indrid, incase they were attacked she could produce a barrier to protect them and herself, but still allowing them to attack. She would repay these men by keeping them alive through this..whatever it was, war, she guessed.

Unas turned. He had felt, rather than heard someone land in the wreckage next to him. She smiled sarcastically. Michael might have been a match for her....before she killed Tal. He drew his sword and pointed it at her. In response, she drew her own and adopted the virgin sword stance. He lunged and she swipped his blod to one side. Unas turned, to find her pressed up against him, blade digging into his side. She purred and licked the side of his face.

Unas: Fallen angel?

Ananda: ...try disvowed angel...still in control of every power she once posesed...and the power of their one time captain.

Unas: That explains why you smell like angel blood. But it doesn't explain why you're tasting my neck.

She smiled and whirled away in a rush of feathers and dark brown hair. Then she sheathed her sword and bowed gracefully.

"Ananda Megelani....and you are?"

"Unas Slatro'mia. may I help you?"

"Of course not...I was interested in the attention Michael paid to you...even sending one of his children."

She laughed and turned around. He saw the huge whiplash marks across her back and the fresh tattoo marks on her spine.

Unas: Is that what happens when one of your kind leaves the angelic host?

Ananda: One of them. They're my reward for the people I was forced to maim....

Andrew looked at Alicia, he instantly show hatred for her.

"A fallen Angel huh? You're just as bad as the demons!" He snarled, raising his sword, preparing to strike. Something deep inside of him told him to ask questions then attack, but he seldom listened to that part. With his sword raised higher he started making his way towards the angel, with the intent to kill etched in his eyes.
"If I can't kill a demon I'll kill a fallen angel!" He cried as he ran forward to face her.

Unas: .. Odd creature, do you know anything of what he spoke of? Humans cant be capable of wielding magic to the extent it threatens Demons- They have free will, they could just as easily turn on Angels. The only problem I know of that they could create is if the necromatic mana in the air causes them to rise as the Undead which scourged the Earth millenia ago when Satan first rebelled.

He sat down, brooding quietly on the prospect of God, humans, and magic- not expceting any answers from Ananda.

Unas: That cant be possible, the last time a human used magic is documented at 1277 AD. Hundreds of years ago, they lost that ability, right? Damn my youth.. ..

He growled and glared at all the dead bodies around him, zoneing out the lingering smell of Micheal angering his senses.

"Yes, God saw the danger they possessed and corrected it."

Both turned rather hurriedly, seeing Arano slowly fuse together into view. His body formed from black, marble-sized spheres of necromatic energy -- a simple teleportation, Primal Magick.

His skin was a few shades lighter, but it was still blatantly black as the night. His blade was sheathed, and his small cuts had healed over. His eyes carried a slight glow, and his mana output was elevated somewhat.

Yet he was completely calm.

Arano: "The last documented mana-using human was in 1277 A.D., you are correct. But the last one to actually stop using it didn't occour until 1305 A.D. Somehow, the bloodline broke apart there. How, is beyond even our Lord himself."

Unas: "Hmm. It's all so very odd. Michael himself showing up to carry God's message. And I thought I sensed Loki earlier. Of course, it could have just been my mind."

Arano: "What mind?"

Arano slowly walked past the pair, Unas chuckling somewhat. Looking on at the fog of poison, Arano smiled slightly, still keeping his game face on, however.

Arano: "..I'm thinking of sending in the Ninth soon."

Unas: "Hmm? Do you think it is that nessicary? That much for something this simple?"

Arano: "There is something, young Unas, storming above us. Something I myself would not be able to take alone."

Unas: "Old grudges, eh?"

Arano: "...I could hold my own against him, should I get my own body back."

Unas: "I suppose getting your power back as well wouldn't hurt, now would it?"

Arano: "Indeed. In any case, I've ordered from Prime Sergent Orloztia to begin fortifying the city, to repel Angel attacks. Then we shall move Southward. I'll be leaving fifteen percent of Anarchy here though. We need to string the area up with out influence. And we also need our Mages here...soon. Should those bastards really find a way to get the humans to feed off mana, I think it would be good if we had some of them on our side."

Ananda: "Excuse me boys, but I have a question. What is the Ninth?"

Unas: "The Elite of the Elite. Three hundred and fifty of human-like demons, each very powerful. Arano's army, Anarchy Prime, is the main task force for our Master, and the Ninth is somewhat the 'Green Berets' of that army. Each one of those in the Ninth has very near the base power of myself."

Arano: "And their only downfall is that most of them are too stupid, though, to do anything but follow orders. However, in a fight, they are surprisingly stategic and powerful."

White lightning from above decided to rain down now. A sign that the Angels were massing.

Arano: "Great. Perfect timing. How do our odds look to you Unas?"

Arano said this as he turned in a circle in his spot slowly, looking straight up.

Unas: "Three to one in our favor. This is, afterall, your Urban division."

Arano: "No, I'd say two to one, them. Elemental Angels, most likely ice. Urban division is only basic ground-types. Then again, I've already set up for a gate to be opened in the center of the town. So if we can get that open, I guess the odds will shift. Good man, Unas."

Unas: "Nothing special here."

Arano turned back to his audience, walking past them, pressing North.

Arano: "In either case, I think we should be there. Mass bloodshed sound good with you?"

Unas: "Yes, yes it does."

Ananda: "Quite."

Arano stopped quickly, halfway looking over his shoulder.

Arano: "I don't think it would be wise to fight against your own kind."

Ananda: "Former kind."

Arano: "Hmm. Very well. Do as you wish. You could join me if you wish, but I doubt you would like the way I rip your race apart."

Arano took flight gentle, pressing his mana out more. His upper torso beefed up, becoming more rounded, but not too significantly. Then the Demon God of Fury flew forward, only about twenty miles per hour, but he was also concentraiting his power as he travelled forward.

Ananda chuckled and raised her wings, following him easily enough. As they moved, she withdrew her sword, allowing the four prongs to sink deep into her palm. As the scent of blood rose in the air around them, Unas turned. He gave her a look that might have been hunger.

Unas: Stop that.

Ananda: It's my weapon, not like I have a choice.

He turned away, bloodlust quickly reaching an unquenchable level. The first ranks of angels closed in, only to become part of the ground beneath them...wingless and headless. Ananda watched the two fight, pausing only to kill the angels that rose to face her...smiling slightly all the while.

Tai Alujah turned in space, watching the whole thing....pausing. Sorrowing, but not doing anything.

Ananda: ....busybody.

She grabbed the starseed around her neck and shoved it into her chest. The almulet dug itself into her flesh, burrowing past her lungs and into her heart....she sighed and folded her wings....then spread them once more. Dazzling pale light, from six wings instead of two....pouring from her back. She snarled and arched her back.
