Chaos
Arano spun downwards, paring with an Angel. His winds feverishly padded downwards, trying to keep up with the Demon God. Blades met, screaming in rage, spitting sparks. The Angel's sword drew back, a white, holy energy gathering around it. The wing'd being was preparing to end this. He however, never got a chance to. Afterall, a sword stabbing right through your skull and then slicing half of your face off tends to be fatal. The Angelic form, now spraying blood, rocketted to the ground, shattering on contact with the cement in a flood of crimson. After that little pocket of Angels had been somewhat easily eliminated, it was quiet. Relatively quiet, at least. Sounds of battle could be heard ahead. Arano slowly hovered to a stop around a hundred feet above the ground, the others following suit soon. Arano: "...If we jump into the frontline, we risk getting blind-sided or killing our own. So we're going to ambush them from behind." Unas: "..." Arano: "Then again, Unas, do whatever. I know you're dying for some fun. So I'll just run off with the pretty Angel and take her on the best date of her life." Ananda: "..."
Raiha
Ananda: That would be a nice break...from my casual killing of the old kynn. Arano: Really? Unas: ...eeehh... She laughed and sheathed her sword, then she swiped at Arano, leaving a blood smear across his face. He felt a drop in his mouth, and savored the cool pale taste of angel blood. Except this one had a certain tang to it...something that wasn't natural. Then again....disvowed angels couldn't be expected to be exactly the same now...could they? Ananda chuckled and blew softly on her palm. The wounds quickly faded into nothing, leaving behind the four vertical lines that she had posessed for aeons. Arano: Well then.....shall we? Ananda: Do you mind Unas?
Jesus Chicken
We ran and walked warily around the block, and found a clothing store that had obviously been the scene of a recent attack. Three men lay ripped apart and nearby a single deamon lay decapitated. "You friends do nice work."I said, eying the fallen. "You should be able to find something in here to your liking. Plenty of black." I watched Dragalla walk over to a clothing rack, crimson hair falling to her knees. "I can trim your hair back a little bit if you want too."I said. Dragalla simply turned and shook her head. Dragalla:Excuse me for a moment. She removed a pair of black vinyl pants and a dark red short sleeved cotton top from the clothing rack and the walked behind an open door. "I don't know why she did that, it's not like we haven't seen her naked so far anyway. Just goes to show that deamon women are just as silly as the rest of the human ones." Qyrain simply just raised an eyebrow and looked at me. "I wish you would stop doing that." Qyrain:If you give me no reason to "do it" as you put it, I shan't have any need to. "Bah!" At that point, Dragalla came back from around the door, now fully clothed. Dragalla:Do you think this should be suitable? She asked us, turning a little bit. I watched her spin, and noticed her tight pants. Leaning closer to Qyrain, I covered my mouth and whispered in his ear: "Yummm, ***." Qyrain simply turned, and raised his eyebrow once again, but this time, he had a smirk on his face. "That's better" I said to him, "Yeah that looks fine to me. So what this god-forsaken-rock are we going to do now?
Corey
I sat on the top of a building, observing our forces. They moved swiftly. However, I had absolutely no reason to get involved. I could no longer fly, nor could I practice magic. My blade was the only thing that could possibly help me in battle. I took it out of it's sheath and caressed the blade. It immediately cut into my palm. I felt a heat in my pocket. The sphere... Someone was calling... Ryan- "Yes?" I shook the blood from my hand and watched the skin stitch itself back together. Demon- "Gate constuction almost complete. We should have it up in the next five hours. All we have to do is to open the warp." I smiled. Ryan- "Keep me posted." The sphere went dark again. I tapped it to connect with Arano. "Arano, the gate is almost open. Continue with the assault however you see fit." Arano- "You have terribly timing, Fallen." I smiled wider. Ryan- "I try." I pocketed the sphere and leaped off of the building, gripping the tattered remains of my wings. Air billowed under them, reopening the wounds that would never fully heal and allowing me to glide to the ground. I landed only to hear voices around the corner. ???- "So what on this god-forsaken-rock are we going to do now?" I gripped my blade and grinned. Maybe I could take out a few survivors and be soemthing beside an informant. Sakura
Mia sighed as she sat on a balcony of one of the destroyed buildings. She surveyed the destruction by Unas' earthquake and shivered at the thought of the head honcho Ryan.Mia felt the cool wind blowing around her and whipping at her clothes and hair. The sun was setting and the golden light shone around over all the destruction. She sighed again and decided she wanted some re-assurance of why she was on this earth.Maybe she wasn't here for a purpose. She un-furled her large wings and took to the skies sailing on the cool breeze. She flew around searching until she saw what she was looking for and slightly closed her wings and landed silently. Mia:Hello. How are you both? Mother:Thank you for saving me and my daughter. Mia:It was my pleasure ma'am. Mother:Please.Call me Dora. Mia:It was a pleasure Dora. Mia bent over slightly to talk to the little girl. Mia:Hello Little One. Girl:Thank you Mia.Our Guardian Angel Mia blushed lightly at the comment. Mia:It was a pleasure little one. Girl:Please Mia.Call me Maya. Dora invited Mia to stay for dinner and Mia accepted. They talked about what happened and how their lives would be. Mia:Dora,Maya.Don't worry.I will always be watching over the both of you. Dora:Thank you.You truely are our Guardian Angel. Mia smiled and they walked outside. It was now evening and the sky was a purply blue color. She opened her wings again and took off.She looked down on Dora and Maya as she hovered. She waved and looked at Maya in particular. She was very young and had already gone through such a traumatic time. Her amber eyes glowed with hope and happiness.Mia smiled and flapped her wings strongly and took off re-assured that she was sent to earth for a reason. Jesus Chicken
"So no one has any ideas?" They both shook their heads. "Nice." We all stood around silently, thinking of what to do next, when our "quiet time" was interrupted by a creature walking out of an alleyway, around the corner and then stopping at the front of the store where we stood. I stared at it for a moment, seeing a large sword in it's grip, taterred wings, and cold stare. Then I responded accordingly. "WHAT THE **** IS THAT??!!" ???: Hello there. My name is Ryan, I am a Fallen Angel. It is I who lead this attack on your pitiful excuse for a planet. "Of course, you're the bad guy!. I am Indrid, this is Qyrain and that lovely little lady there is Dr-..." Ryan: Dragalla, yes I know her. Stupid woman. Qyrain: I don't think that's very necessary. It was Indrid that dressed her. "I confess to that. So what do you want anyway?"
Corey
I grinned, yet there was no humor in my body. All that issued from my mind was bloodlust. Ryan- "I am but a servant of my lord. Since I have been unskilled in the art of magic and flight for longer than most of you have been in existance, I am forced to be a simple informant. I have confidence, however, that I can dispose of you." I gripped my blade and felt the barbed handle sink into my hand. Blood began to seep from my clenched fist. Indrid- "That's sick..." My eyes flashed at him. The blade began to glow with a black aura. It was pumping adrenaline into my body. My muscles tingled. My pupils grew large. Everything felt electrified. I saw the man that had not spoken grip his scythe in anticipation. I smiled and lept into the air. The only one that could track me accurately was the traitor. She watched me rise and begin arcing my sword over my head, ready to slash the man that had adressed me. She acted immediately. I gripped my sword harder, hastening the flow of adrenaline, while she grabed both of the humans arms and dragged them to the side. My sword hit the pavement and sent a shower of sparks into the air. Ryan- "Treacherous bitçh!" I snarled and ran after them slashing wildly whenever I got within reach. They were fast. Much faster than I expected... And something felt odd. They seemed to reek of something. It was coming off them in waves. Almost, intensifying with every step they took to escape me. Only the humans, though... The traitor seemed free of the smell. Strange. I leaped again. When the trio looked back I was out of their vision and closing in on them. I landed on the man with the scythe and dug my sword into his stomach. He grunted and ripped his weapon across my back, slicing through one of my tattered wings. The other human fired his gun at me, forcing metal pellets into my body. I grimaced and pushed my blade deeper. The man began to bleed furiously. I smiled as the other human stopped to reload. This one would die. My skin was already stiching back together, the bullets falling to the ground. The smell suddenly became much heavier. My eyes widened in alarm. The eyes of the man I had impaled went completely white. Ryan- "Mana..." He let go of his weapon and grabbed the blade of my sword, pulling it from his body and opening fresh wounds on his hands. "NO!" A flash of white light eminated from his chestwound, throwing me backward and healing it. I landed with a thump on the ground, some one hundred feet away. The man stood up and examined his body, apparently as awestruck as everyone else. I felt a bone in my leg begin to mend and stood up. "Mark my word human! You will not live through this!" I scaled the side of a building and began to wonder how I would report this to the others...
Eclectic
Alicia held up her blade, blocking him easily. "I don't know what you're talking about. Angels are myths." Just like demons... She thought about it for a second, unconsciously blocking every one of Andrew's attacks. Maybe I am a Fallen Angel. It would explain a lot. But why don't I remember anything? "All I want to know is what's happening. If you tell me that, then you are more than welcome to try and kill me." DeathKnight
Unas: ... I'll tell you what, i'll cover for you at the gate and you two go have a nice time. But you'll owe me Arano- you'll heavily owe me.. Have you ever heard of Essence of Bloodroot? Arano: -... Why would you need THAT? Unas: Thats how you heavily owe me. Get 4 vials of that Essence- Intill next time, ta ta... He shot upwards into the sky, his tail lingering a second longer- long enough for the bladed edge of it to flirt near Ananda and Arano's necks before disappearing after the Vatborn. Soaring through the clouds, a flash of white caught his eye just to his right- scanning the area he saw a few figures standing around. Nothing serious, it seemed. He located the large gate-construction operation, dozens of demons either guarding or working on the gate. He homed in on it, cascadeing downwards through the sky... ... and skidded to a halt across the land near the gate. Several demons approached him, but quickly realized him for who he was. He was lead to the gate, where one highly intellectual demon approached him and explained the whole process, includeing the estimated time of completion. Unas: Wonderful. Well Arano had some very important 'angel' business to take care of. Demon: Ah! I understand! A duel? Unas: Perhaps of Egos. Demon: ...? Unas: Nothing. I'll be your guard in his place, however- intill he returns. His face turned into a "-.-" face quickly. Unas: .. If he returns. Demon: Right, well. We have plenty of guards about, and with you here i'm sure everything will run smoothely as long as the remaining Angels dont pick up on whats going on here. Unas: Even if they do, only Seraphim are a match for higher demons like me. Demon: Yes, but the Seraphim always get involved with gates- alot of Seraphim. Unas: Then you better get to work. Unas snorted and walked away, sitting on a rock- eyes scanning the sky more than the ground..
Dmitri_Dragoon
Andrew narrowed his eyes. He felt he should at least tell her. "Very well, if you haven't noticed Demons are running amok in this place. The forces of hell have broken through into our realm and are now destroying us. There is a last ditch resistance going on of Humans and Angels. Is that good enough for you or do you wish for more information?" Andrew asked annoyed. Preparing to attack once again. But it confused him as to why a fallen angel would not know about this. The Harlequin
Qyrain alternated surprised stares between the demon scaling the wall and his own chest. He absently ran his hands over the skin, finding it dry, and cool to the touch. The blood that stained his shirt was also drying, amazingly rapidly. He turned to Indrid and Dragella. Neither of them seemed to have an explanation, or even an excuse, handy. Qyrain sighed, and retrieved his scythe. Once again, something strange had happened, and once again, nobody seemed willing to explain why. He blinked a few times, silently asking Dragella if his eyes had decided to be remotely normal again. Just as silently, she gave him an answer. Well, that was one thing out of the way. It would probably be a little hard to explain. Qyrain: What say we promptly remove ourselves from here before he brings back some larger, perhaps more intelligent, friends? Indrid: What say... They picked up their pace as they left the area. Not that they'd admit it, but they did. Qyrain wasn't paying attention. His thoughts were fixed internally, an introversion brought on by happenstance rather than a simple quirk of personality, for once. Dragella cast him a few more irritated glances. Apparently she really, really didn't like it when people closed themselves off. Qyrain didn't even know how he did it, it was something along the lines of wrapping his aura into a tight snarl around him, confounding any attempts to access it. Perhaps that was what had contributed to the light, and the strange feeling like cold lightning that had run through him, leaving him feeling like a livewire. Perhaps his unconscious manipulation of his etheric self had given him a measure of instinctive defense. Perhaps it was an ingrained, instinctual human reaction to the presence of the infernal. Qyrain wasn't certain, and was even more uncertain about whether anyone else was certain either.
Eclectic
"Then attack me if you must. But I want to help you. I'll explain later, if you'll let me. And Demons do not exist. It's impossible." Dmitri_Dragoon
Andrew lowered his sword. This angel was confusing. "Demons do exist, I've just killed a few. DeathKnight
Seraphim Arano is After: Go! Someone is comeing that I personally have to deal with.. commence the attack, that gate has to be destroyed at all costs. With the humans help, maybe we can win... ----- Unas: .... make the defense ready... we are going to be in battle within minutes... A magic shield flooded over the site instantly, as various guard units lined up in formation, some entrenched in makeshift bunkers built as the gate was built. Several archer towers around the area were instantly garrisoned, archers at every window and at the top- where a giant flame hovered above the tower to reveal any invisible beings in the immediate area. All of the units kept an watch out, as the construction for the gate reached an estimated time of completition for 3 hours. Unas stepped out across the large wasteland- the whole area had been downtown skyscrapers just this morning, before the quick hands of the demons demolished them all. Standing alone in the wasteland, Unas' tail flicked up and down, his aura appearing in its full fury from impatience and bloodthirstyness. Arano, some distance away, knew that Unas was signaling him- the only resistance he would have would be the Seraphim himself. Arano: Perfect. Corey
I sat atop the building seething. The human has used magic. For close to seven hundred years here had been no human magic use. And I felt as if I had something to do with it. I probably did. Ryan- "Unas..." I need to talk to Unas. Though young, he was superior to me in many ways. I jumped off the side, once again using my wings as gliders. I landed with a soft 'pat' and gripped the handle of my sword. It pumped adrenaline into my body at an alarming rate. I inhaled deeply and began sprinting toward the gate. It took me twenty minutes to cover the ground between where I was and where I was now. I was standing about two hundred feet away from a large opaque white sphere. A defensive shield. I advanced toward it and was stopped immediately. An archer shot a warning arrow. Archer Demon- "Halt! State your name and buisiness here!" I looked up at him complyingly. Ryan- "My name is Ryan Schezar. I wish to speak with Unas. I now he's in there. I can feel him." The Demon looked back for a moment and lowered his weapon. A small openeing appeared in the shield and I was let through. I didn't need directions. I would simply home in on the demons energy. I turned slightly and began making my way to where I felt hunger. He saw me approaching. Unas- "Ryan. Why are you here?" I looked into his eyes hoping to see some kind of understanding, so that I wouldn't have to say it. I saw nothing. Ryan- "Unas... Something has happened." I shifted uncomfortably and began pacing. "I saw a human use magic." His eyes widened considerably. "I attacked them... Two humans and a traitor demon. I was hoping for some action... Perhaps an easy kill. I stabbed one of the humans in the heart. I felt him tap into the mana steam... He cast a healing spell and a White-Wind spell. I couldn't stop him from getting away." i looked up and saw Unas staring out to the front lines. Unas- "We must alert Arano..."

Flash
Without warning, Arano was ripped from the void, and slammed hard into a marble wall, inside a large, gothic chapel. It seemed to be one of the abandoned Angelic outposts in the Unholy Wastelands created during the Sin Wars. Arano's eyes flickered open, and were met with the penetrating stare of what appeared to be an Angel, clothed in dark grey, bland robes, and with tattered, rotting wings. His skin was pale, and his eyes faded of colour. He snarled at the Demon, and held him higher up on the wall. "Does thou recognise me, Demon?", the Angel roared through gritted teeth. "For t'was at thy blade that he fell, and at his fall that I decayed. You did this unto me, Arano!" The Angel loosened his grasp on Arano's collar, and dropped the Demonic entity. Arano looked up at the decaying Angel, and raised an eyebrow, inquisitively. "Simikiel?" "A name by which I shalleth be called nay longer." "But how?" "Demon... Thou slayed my bretheren with thine own sword, causing my descent into this which thou sees before thee." Simikiel drew his sword, Apragsin, Sword of God, and held it at Arano's neck. The sword was blackening, and itself decaying. The runes and scriptures around the handle and hilt could no longer be read, their clarity all but lost. It was no longer a Sword of God. "Apragsin, once the Sword of God. Sickening to behold in thine eyes, isn't it? Even for thoust, Demon." Simikiel said sadistically, bearing his teeth. He looked at Arano, his dead eyes piercing his Demonic form. "Go on then. Kill me." Arano said, tauntingly. "Nay." Simikiel said, retracting his sword, and placing it back at his belt. He grabbed Arano by the skull, and lifted him up. "Back to the void I cast thee. Carry on thy petty crimes, Hell-spawn. Thou does not know the meaning of evil." The rotting Angel flung Arano back through the tear in dimensional-space from whence he was taken. He then turned to face a large stone pillar behind him, with a verse of psalms enscribed upon it. He sneered, and smote the tome with a bolt of dark energy displaced from his palm. "Sin is thy name." He outstretched his six gruesome, decrepid wings, and with a single, almighty thrust was sent flying into the air, taking off with such force that the chapel around him was demolished instantaneously. Sakura
Mia was on her balcony again looking over the area. She was attached to this destroyed village for some reason and she couldn't explain why.She sighed and shook out her wings because she had been sitting there quietly for close to 3 hours.Mia yawned and opened her wings and took off to the skies for some flying. She look ahead and saw she was reaching the border of the village and she took a breath and flew on leaving the village she had failed to protect from the one named Unas. Mia flew on and suddenly she felt a cold wind shiver down her spine. That never meant anything good.Mia had worry in her eyes and looked back.It was coming from where dora and Maya were staying. Her eyes blazed and she beat her wings strongly and took off at a fast speed leaving a trail of dust and sand behind her. Mia pumped her wings worried for her friends. She arrived and saw Dora and Maya outside and there was a demon with large claws and large fangs attacking them. Dora:MIA!!!!! Mia's blade appeared in bright flash of light and she flew down and sliced at the demon. He hissed and lashed out at her with his giant claws.Mia held out her hand and a blast of power shot out and attacked the demon. He screamed in agony as Mia blasted him with Holy white magic and then she sliced him hard and he dis-apperated.Mia smiled and stood and the blade disappeared in another bright light.Dora and Maya raced to Mia and they hugged her. Dora:Mia...You really are our guardian angel!! Mia smiled and hugged them back.It was good to have friends like them who cared for her so much.Mia smiled and said goodbye and told them they could call her by praying if they ever needed her.She flapped her wings and took off back to the border to explore the land. The Harlequin
Qyrain looked at Dragella for a long moment, his face grave. He closed his eyes a moment, and when he reopened them, they again were bright white. Small pinpoint black pupils were vaguely visible. Qyrain took a few steps back, the glow increased. He took a few steps forward, closer to Dragella, and the white became cloudy, inky patches roiling in and out of visibility with all the undercurrents of bubbling swamp. Qyrain blinked a few times, and his eyes returned to normal. Qyrain: Yes, that seems to work. You were indeed the shield. What colour were my eyes back there though? Indrid: Pure white. Qyrain: Then it looks like my parents have some explaining to do. If Dragella had attacked the demon through me, my eyes would have turned cloudy. The shield was a passive effect, so it didn't change my eyes. I don't know about the healing, but it was probably just a side effect. Dragella: I thought something strange was going on, but hey, who wouldn't claim credit. Qyrain: At least you had the decency to be half-right. The problem is though, why the hell am I doing this all a sudden? Indrid: What has that to do with your parents? Qyrain: Simple. My mother was married to my step-father, and I don't know who my real one is. Indrid rolled his eyes. Indrid: This isn't going to be one of those crappy "I need to run off and find my father because I've got so many insecurities, and then it turns out he's some angel or something". Qyrain: It had better not be, or I won't be happen. Besides, if my father was an angel, he would now be a fallen angel, which means he would be hanging around, and quite probably near me. And I haven't noticed anyone overly bizarre over the last twenty years. Dragella: You probably weren't looking hard enough. Qyrain: True. Who cares. I don't, know that I think about it, really care who my father was. Chances are this is some ingrained human thing rather than the result of an irregular parentage. I don't care why, I just need to learn how to use it. Indrid: How long will that take? Qyrain: I give it a week. Dragella: You're rather confident. Qyrain: No, I just don't have anything better to do. The way he said it didn't seem to inspire a reply. Qyrain sighed. Qyrain: That was a hint people. Shall we go? Didn't someone want to find some weapons or something?
Raiha
Rugiel:Pathetic. ....really it is. One of our ex-finest Angelorum screwing around with a demon like him. Ananda: He's inconsistent, powerful, and esoteric. You are foolish, young, and impertinent. If I didn't have a conciense, I'd kill you where you stand. Rugiel: Try it. She swooped upwards, then came down, sword out. He blocked it easily and twisted her over his back. She rounded swiftly and brought her hand slapping across his face. Five huge claw marks, bleeding claw marks....and a stinging sensation. Ananda: ...run away little angel. Don't let me stain myself with your blood. I'm already covered in Tal's. Rugiel: Lies. She gave him a compassionate glance, and let her illusion fade. Instantly, the presence of angelic blood covered her....wings, hands and chest. She shook her head at him. He stared in horror, then charged forwards. Ananda simply raised her hand, extended her claws and let himself fly straight into her hand. It passed through his somach and out through his back. Ananda: I wish you didn't make me do that.
