Depends on the nature of the crossover.

The Matrix with Digimon or .hack//sign (or Dark, or the other one)? Yu Yu Hakusho with Card Captor Sakura? I suppose those would work.

Star Trek with X-Men is to be left alone, however.

Although, i prefer straight and pure fics

I don't like "cross-over" things. The world of, say, Digimon is ment to stay in it's own world. Not wonder over into the world of The Matrix. I always hates those "Jetsons Meet the Flintstones!" shows, and I don't much like them in word form either.

If you did Inuyasha and Yu Yu Kakusho they would be interesting together. Especially if there was something with Miroku, Botan, Keiko, and I forgot Kuwabara's sister's name.

Normally I find cross-over fics sort of silly in a bad way.. First off it would never happen, second, it is sorta freaky seeing Yusuke and Pikachu in the same place. ^_^' I'm not saying cross-overs are bad, I mean, I think Super Smash Brothers Melee is the best fighting game ever, but for some reason I like straight, possible fanfictions more.

:D I love crossover fics, if you get them right, they're cool, they give you whole new possibilties for a storyline, and for some character development (especially if you mix in a little AU). Even when they don't work, they're interesting, an experiment in writing, think of it that way.

Besides, write for yourself, if you like the idea, then go for it. If you like the results and enjoyed writting it, then you've gained something...

That's just my opinion, do what you want. :D

I like some crossovers. The only thing I see consistently done wrong with them is the sheer amount of series incorporated in them. It's one thing if it's two or three shows. But if you have to have watched every single sci-fi show ever, or every single anime ever, to be able to understand it, you'll lose all but the most obssessed fans of whatever genre. Of course, seeing how I'm not a true anime fan. I like some shows that happen to be anime or adapted from Japanese shows, but it takes more than Japan as a point of origin to make me watch something and I watch anime with the same eye as anything from the US or England or Australia. I figured that was normal but the 'crossover-of-every-anime-ever-to-exist-plus-a-video-game-or-two-hundred' fics over at Mediaminer.org do very well.

All things considered, anything can be done well of handled properly. Remember, Digimon works on the idea of infinite realities (Ghennai said so). So, with infinite realities, there are infinite possibilities. Therefor anything can be crossed into Digimon...with enough time and effort.

For example: A virus from the Digital World gets into the Matrix. Not much of a problem, but then it gets into Zion's computers as well. Meanwhile the Matrix has learned of the idea of other universes after tracing the origion of this virus. Therefor it begins expanding outwards: Infinitely more humans to use as batteries. Zion's computers are breaking down as the Matrix uses it's agents to capture and contain the virus (really a digimon), and then use it to expan outwards. It's probably a good idea, however, to leave the Digi-destined out of this fic, unless you're truely inventive. Say, the Digi-destined learn of the invasion somehow, and go there to stop it, only to run across computerised beings that can bend digital reality to thier will: the Agents. Tougher fight then anything they've ever faced before. Zion's people have meanwhile gone to the Digital World in an effort to block off the Matrix's expansion, because through the Digital World, all realities can be reached. The Digi-Destined meet up with Zion's people at some point. As the Digital World is slowly converted from binary to Quantum, the Zionists and the Digi-destined have a hard road ahead of them, but they have a plan: With the Agents busy in the Digital World, the Matrix is more or less unguarded. Using Vamdemon's castle, they procead to warp to the Maxtrix's Earth, and the Digimon attack the Metacortex building with the Zionists while the Digi-destined are hooked up to the Matrix. Unfortunately, some Squiddies some across the Zionist ship, so the humans, including the Digi-destined, have to make a run for it, leaving the Digimon trapped in the Digital World. They are introduced to thier asses by the Agents when they come back, and have thier asses handled to them. Fortunatly the Zionist ship outruns the Squiddies and the humans are plugged back in. The Zionists distract the Agents while the Digi-destined use thier newfound powers (them being in a world were reality is thier plaything) to give thier digimon a serious upboost. WHile the digimon now distract the agents, the Zionists plant bombs all over the Metacortex building, and make it go 'kabloee'.

Not too difficult, is it? But it requires a whole lot of time and effort, and plus, you have to take into account that the Digital World and Matrix World that you're using are not the ones shown in the movies and on TV, but alternate ones.

Infinite possibilities...
