Posting a lot has nothing to do with becoming a mod. Quality or quantity, I suppose. You are chosen to be a mod by the administrators if they feel you will be a good addition to the forums in clearing away any spam, and will not become in trouble in the future. At times, this is hard to predict, and it may not always be the best choice, but when you are chosen, you have been with the boards for a little while and are generally a friendly person. You know what the rules are pretty well and your writting ability is quite good.

So marks another time when people look to post count to determine what kind of person you are. *sigh* Topic closed.

Oh yeah, and by asking to become a mod you will automatically not become one; or at least, that's how it used to be.

You certainly don't get it by posting topics such as "Q&A Session".

It takes a good post quality, at least some maturity, qualifications in the forum you're needed, and the ability to be professional.

Otaku isn't your average, run-of-the-mill online forum.
