RequiemofaDream
Messed up chemical imbalances in my brain have led me to post this, for i have worries. point of this is, i don't want to be conforted, but i do want to hear about your problems. help me forget about my problems (16 years old with a gf who is a week and a half late for her period, and parents that want to put me on anti-depressants and adarol; shooting a hole in my liver and making me a zombie to boot), by telling me about any periods of depression you have ever had, and how you dealt with it. thanx :)
Transtic Nerve
You should use a condom. And a week and a half late is nothing. When it starts getting... uhh 3 weeks, there's a 'problem' I'm gay, that just screams DRAMA! and thus PROBLEMS! But it's good, this country is just starting to let us BE gay without having our president openly announce his homophobia. Well hell, who knows whats in store... I just want to get married man! Is that so much to ask!?
RequiemofaDream
well, i didn't really ask for feedback on my problems, but since you gave it, then alright. i did use a condom; but condoms aren't fool-proof, so im still pretty worried. and as for getting married, more power to you; hope you find that special man. wierd decisions our supreme court has been making, very against their general republican nature. ahh well. peace

Alot of women miss their periods, but it is really nothing. So, whether she is or isn't pregnant, you should be responsible in your actions. clumsymoonflowr
...Right. Anyway, both myself and my best friend have been depressed, as well as my mother, so I have a bit of experience with it. My mum couldn't deal with it and put herself on Prozac or some Prozac alternative. My friend and I were depressed at the same time (this particular time, anyway) and talking her down from suicide and about her problems all the time left me no time to brood over my own. All the other times? I withdrew and dealt with it alone. -Ness, all by myself
RicoTranzrig
I'm not sure if it's been proven, but my morale tends to go down when the sun's not shining, literally. During the winter season, I'm not too happy. Maybe it's a chemical imbalance, but I avoid taking any drugs or consulting some kind of professional about it. Instead, I try to take my mind off things by playing video games, running, driving, hanging out with friends, just being somewhat active. I'm not sure if this applies, "Idleness is the devil's workshop..." So it's better to take the mind off of worrying and approach your problems with clear thoughts, which takes time.
Skyrose
Never let yourself sit around to think about it. After a while, it just starts to get to you, and it ends up being all you can think about. Then people do things like kill themselves. I almost did O.o But I have no chemical inbalance, I'm just dumb, I don't know what it must be like to try to fight it... I wouldn't take those drugs, I'm sure it's been proven that they eventually lead to more harm than anything! I hope you can get around your inbalance without them :)

Whether or not they MAY or MAY NOT break... he didn't mention his broke... plus you should always pull out even with a condom, that way there's even less chance... anywy Some country we live in eh? Fall
I used to be so depressed I wouldn't get up off the lounge for a damn week. Then when I did, I'd be dizzy, and I'd have to lay down on the lounge again for another straight week. Really, I felt like I had nothing to live for, and I wanted to die. "Not as if anyone would notice". There wasn't really anything that was making me depressed, I just.. went into depression. Maybe it was because of school.. maybe it was because of things in my social life. Stuffed if I know. All I know is this. To get over it, depression has to get over you. Stop thinking on the down side, think you've got a good life. Atleast then depression will get sick of you and go away. That's wbhat happened to me. Now looking back at it, I can see how stupid it was worrying about all this crap that wasn't big in the first place, but seemed huge when I worried about it. It was all screwed up. You're screwed up. Fix yourself up and do something. You don't want to be depressed for the rest of your life and be screwed up. Depression won't go away by itself. If you're depressed and keep thinking nothing is going to get better, it isn't. You have to think that it will go away, and that you're living on the top. Then it's gone. Skyrose
Yeah, Fall's got the answer. Depression is like an entity in itself... you just have to show it that you're stronger. And that'll scare it off.

Guest cloricus
90% of condoms break, in fact nearly all methods fail but easy combinations get rid of this. Condom + Pill = Home free. As for the topic "messed up chemical imbalances in my brain" every thing you do is decided by the chemicals in your brain, there are drugs for some and others you just have to sit out. As for anti-depressants they work and some times they don?t, just forget about the side effects. (In most cases if you don't know what the side effects are you wont get them.) The whole thing will pass with time. Go out and have some fun. (Or join a bus group.) eps
