Squall
Ed from cowboy bebop Sora from .hack sign...is there a connection here?
OtakuSennen
..What kind of connection? Connection by relation, or personality or something..? They may be similar, but I highly doubt that the creators intended for Sora and Ed to be related somehow...... Besides, they are in entirely different timeframes. Squall
well, yeah. but think about it. both act almost the same, both spend huge amounts of time on the internet, and im pretty sure that someone said that sora was a little kid. And I may be the only one who thinks so, but don't the chaos gate and the warp gate seem oddly similar? I think somebody from bebop came to .hack. or vica versa
Ayokano
Well to just to let you know,Cowboy Bebop and .hack// are set in different timelines.Hack is sent in 2000 something, when I think CB is so far away it's not even close to 2000.Also I think nobody in the .hack project has been invold in CB.So it can't happen. Also, everybody who plays "The World" spends large amounts of time on the internet:p Oh,I have never seen a person go into the choas gate, and flew in it.What ever you are saying about somebody from the CB world is in the hack world is kindda stupid. Not being mean or harsh, but hack is set in a more "down to Earth" timeline, when CB is set in a si-fi world. So whatever you are saying can't happen.

Squall
I'm not trying to say that Ed is Sora!! I'm trying to say that I think that they were BASED on the same charicter!
OtakuSennen
..? Based on a character..? I'm really not comprehending what you are implying here.. THEY are characters.. Do you mean they are based on the same person..?
Syk3
I really don't see this discussion going anywhere. There obviously wasn't any sort of intentional connection by the producers, and in any case, many series like to include the 'child influenced by today's tech age' as I like to say. Is this the first time they've had a kid in an anime? Is this the first time someone has been good with computers? Of course not. Heck, even Kaolla Su from Love Hina appears to have some sort of a connection to Ed. Sometimes a series will borrow elements from another series, or will do it subconciously. This is a clear description of the bond between Kenshin and Trigun if they are, in fact, not made by the same people. Topic closed.
