I was just wondering how this Anime Network Video on Demand thing works. OK I have basic digital cable but AN ain't in my area yet. If I wanted An when it comes into my area would I be able to get it with just basic digi. cable. Would I have to call to subscribe or would it just be added as an extra channel or something. Also on AN website it says that Comcast subscribers it is added at no extra charge or something like that , in my area I get Charter Communications but would it be on about the same way .

Duh. He already knows that. He said he doesn't get it because of that. Anyway, run away from this horrible crap. Its On Demand. You should get it for free, but it doesn't matter as it is horribly glitchy, and some times the freaking Anime Network On Demand catergory dissapears completely. Its not worth it.

Basically at first when you order you'd pay, but after about 2 weeks you wont have to pay, and the prices will go from $2.30 to $0.00

Well if the system has glitches that would be why they havent expanded it...As I understand it the anime channel is in its testing phase at this point...

Hopefully comcast will be expanding the amount of areas that get the channel...Although im not crazy about paying per episode...Id rather just pay a flat extra fee per-month for the channel like all the rest of the premium channels...

It does seem like an excellent idea in theory though...Un-cut anime 24/7 and you get to pick which show and which episode...

Well, I was going to close this thread, but then I changed my mind because it might start some decent discussion about the Anime Network.

If they are seriously going to be charging per episode, I would not even bother. That sounds like a scandalous ripoff to me.

I have HBO inDemand right now, so I would assume that the Anime channel is the same (many of you, however, know that assumption is the mother of all bumblers)...

Although HBO inDemand is included in my HBO package, I would guess that you would pay a flat fee for one month of service...probably $5 or $6...probably a good buy if you really like anime.

I was reading an issue of Official Playstation Magazine, and there was a small article about Final Fantasy Unlimited (an anime show, hot in Japan/Nippon) coming to the Anime Network. And this got me to asking a question; What is the Anime Network, and is it available on DirecTV? I must know! Plus, I wanna know what's on it. Anime is the bombness, and not having a good Anime Channel [strike]sucks the monkeyballs[/strike]. Who's got the info?

I'm sorry, but I found that phrase disgustingly offensive. *QA*
