Shinmaru
This game has been out for a little bit so I decided to make a thread about it. There are several impressive and disappointing things about Wario World. The most disappointing is the length of the game. It's far too short for a console game; I beat it in about 5 hours. But it's a pretty good five hours. The levels are nicely designed and fun to go through. And while the first world is fairly easy, the other levels are no cakewalk. And the boss battles are quite fun to beat. And, luckily, they let you go back to them if you want to fight them again. Any other thoughts? Guest Mystik
It is pretty disappointing to me, as I am a Zelda fan and a Mario fan. I beat super mario sunshine just a while ago, and it is extremely long, and it is just like most games, it gets harder and harder up to the last level to be near impossible to beat. Wario World was a big disappointment to me after just beating mario sunshine. It just doesn't have the "stuff" in it.
Dragonballzman
It doesn't really look at that interesting to me. I just might rent it so I can link it up with Wario Ware Inc and get some new minigames. >_> I heard you could do that in a gaming mag...Could anyone confirm this? ^^;; Anyway, yah. Like I said, it doesn't look very interesting. Go round butt slamming things and so on...I think I'll just stick with Mario Sunshine...
Shinmaru
Yeah, you can link up with the GBA and get minigames from Wario Ware, but I don't think that they're new minigames.

Yeah, the mini-games that you can get access to in Wario World aren't new ones. They're meant to be a little demo of sorts for people that don't have Wario Ware.
Semjaza
You simply cannot compare Wario games to Mario games in any sense, if you ask me. Other than maybe the first Wario Land game, they have gone in an entirely different direction. They are generally far more puzzle based, with an emphasis on finding the best way to beat enemies rather than simply stomping on them. Personally, I think the Wario games are among the best stuff Nintendo put out... so I was surprised they had Treasure make this game, rather than doing it themselves, Wario World always seemed like it was those Wario Land games thrusted into 3D. It never struck me as clever though, but I've heard good things about the level layouts and enemy designs. I'm most likely going to rent it soon. My only gripe would be what I hear about the length. It wouldn't be as annoying if Wario Land 4 wasn't also a VERY short game as well. I wish they'd do something the size of Wario Land 3. I'd be happy then. bignatedawg
wario world looks like an interesting game that i have considered purchasing. i like the idea of being able to acctualy "fight" the enemies rather then jumping on them or whatnot. i've always been a huge mario fan(and always will be) but, sometimes i want some different game play thats at the same time familiar. the length of the game concerns me as many of you have said its a rather short game but many of the great games i've played in the past have been short to where at the end left me wanting more yet i was still left satisfied by the great gameplay. i suppose the real reason i'm hesitant on buying the game is my lack of funds.
Shinmaru
I've just played the demos for Wario Ware and I have to say that they're fun little extras (the reason why it took me so long to play them is because one of my friends borrowed my GBA). I found myself getting addicted to the games quite quickly and really enjoying the pace in which these games are thrown at you. I've been playing these games for the last couple of days and I haven't found a dull moment with them.
SS5 Gogeta
I actually rented Wario World and beat it but I wasn't dissapointed because it was a very good rental. Now, if you're thinking about actually buying the game you might get dissapointed because the game is so short. Even if you're the type of person who likes to beat up on the enemy in many different kinds of ways, the game would still be short. I've never tried the GC-GBA connectivity so I'm not going to comment on that. Overall, the game is short but enjoyable the first time through so I suggest it as more as a rental and if you must have it because it's the first 2d to 3d transition of the Wario series than I would consider that as an okay buy. Shinmaru
I definetely agree that Wario World is a great rental. In fact, it's probably one of the best rentals you can get right now (of course, I'm counting out a lot of games that are just too long to be rentals). If you rent Wario World, you're sure to get a lot of value out of it, because it's certainly not a bad game. It's just far too short.
