New Zelda look

The cel shading was all right I guess, but the game would've looked cooler if they had made it look like they did in OoT. Over all, the game was too short. The only thing that made it seem longer was the 2nd quest and having to ride around in KoRL to get anywhere.

*is annoyed, because I had typed out a big, long post for this thread earlier only to have the computer screw up and end up losing it* >_<

Anyway, please try to stay on topic, peoples. If you want to discuss The Wind Waker, there are other threads for that. This thread is for how you would design Link and the next game, not saying what you do/don't like about TWW. ^_^

For the first few posts, yes. but for the two right before mine, all that was in them was talk about TWW.

"Yeah. Wind Waker was too short. Overrall, a decent game though. The plot was twisting, and that I did like. But not enough "bosses" to compete and battle with. And the ones you did fight, they weren't difficult or intimidating."

I dunno about you, but I don't see any discussion about a new game in there. So that's what I was talking about when I posted the bit about staying on topic.

Hey, I just got a cool idea from that. You know how the Master Sword is always the second or third sword that you get, and before that you have a weaker sword? Well, why not make it so that the Master Sword is the first sword that you get, and before you get it you have to use other types of weapons?

They could start you out unarmed, and have the first dungeon or mini-dungeon a stealth sort of thing like they did with Forsaken Fortress in TWW. You could take weapons off of enemies, but instead of having to drop them when you leave the room, let you keep them for use anytime that you want. Just have them assigned to what's normally the sword button, and let you cycle through them with a button or equip them in the start menu or something. There could be a separate equipment subscreen like in OOT, with all your different weapons and tunics and what-have-you, in addition to the one for your secondary items.

I think that would be awesome, being able to use a wide variety of weapons as your main attack, in addition to the secondary items. It would add a lot more variety to the combat, and also make the combat more rewarding. They could have the secondary items in the Big Chests in the dungeons (the items that're required to progress in the game), and have the weapons carried by enemies, making you defeat the enemies and take their weapons in order to get new ones.

That would be awesome! Oh! You know how on the 4 Swords Link needs the 4 sword in order to get 3 other copies of himself? Well, how about if all the Link's (Oot, ALTtP, LoZ, and WW versions) got together by traveling thru time and helping each other like on 4 swords except you have to fight Ganon and you don't need the 4 sword. You get what I'm sayng?

The only way I can think of that controlling more than one link would work is that if they were controlled in turns, and the others would be controlled by CPU

I didn't like the link from WW, but I didn't side with the link from OoT. I like the Drawn version of the link from the origional gameboy zelda, (can't remember name.)

I think he meant that for another four player game, like Four Swords. Just instead of using the Four Sword to split Link into four of the same person, have four completely different Links, like from the different games. Not have a game where you play as four Links by yourself.

And I agree, it is a cool idea, if they made it so each Link had unique items that couldn't be used by the other Links, or unique abilities or something. Add another layer of complexity to the game.

in the TWW sequal, i hope they use adult link. They said if they used adult link in the game, it would be polygons, not cel-shaded. But i've heard its another cel-shaded game, so i guess its young link again. If i had to choose, it would be polygon Link with the boomerang, master sword, longshot and arrows as his best weapons.

I think that if there were four different Links then should be from four diffrenet games with four different swords. Like the sword of time or the sword that repels evil. Their tunics could even be different colors like red, green, or blue. You know they could have four different powers. Like one could have the fire arrow ,one with ice arrow, one with the power to control the wind, or something else like that.
