Does anyone know how to get the G/S Ball in Pokemon Gold? I have found out how to get it in Pokemon Crystal but it is different than in Pokemon Gold and Silver and I haven't been able to find how to get it in Gold. Can anyone help me?

Heh heh heh heh heh heh Ha Ha!.

Well demonchamp, there are so many things that could easily influence the outcome of the battle between Kazam and Celebi. For instance, the moveset! If that Kazam know's fire punch, Celebi would't have too much of a chance. Then there is the whole Stat exp. That Celebi could have very low stat exp, while the Kazam could have had it maxed out, making a major difference in stats. Especially if Celebi had mostly rare-candied up its level. Then there is the DVs. Celebi could have had really low DVs, while Kazam had very high DVs. Then there is critical hits, unaturally raised stats byt moves, unaturally lowered xtats by moves. How the person handled that poke with that set is also a large factor. That person could have sucked with Celebi, and the other guy could have been good with the Kazam.

EDIT: My standard moveset for Celebi is ths:

Celebi.
@ leftovers/ Miracle berry/focus band
Recover/Leech seed (only with leftovers and gigadrain)/rest
Psychic
ancient power/gigadrain
heal bell/gigadrain/solarbeam (if your brave)/toxic

If you look at the base standard: Leftovers, Recover, Psychic, Ancient power OR gigadrain, and heal bell, he can take on a whole lot of things. But a Kazam with

@ Focus band/Kings rock
Psychic
Barrier
Recover
Fire/Icepunch/seismic toss,

has a severe advantage over Celebi. Mainly because no matter what moveset you give it, it just isn't quite fit to take on another psychic. Celebi isn't quite fit to take on a Kazam, and a Kazam can be fitted to take on another psychic, or grass type. So Kazam had the advantage.

Why am I doubting you?

If those conditions were true, the celebi would destroy that Alakazam in two hits. Maybe even one! There would have been no way for it to lose, because there would have been about a 100 point difference in all the stats.

Wait! Was the celebi raised to lv. 100 with the Gameshark? I'm still doubting that the level 75 Kazam would have been raised soly on rare candies, because it probably would've been raised to 100 if they actually had rare-candied raised it. I'll come back with the math formula later to show you why the celebi would win under the conditions you stated.

EDIT: The formula for raw damage is this.

(2 X L ÷ 5+2) X A X P ÷ D)/50+2)

L = Attacker's Level
A = Attacker's current Attack/Special Attack value
P = Attack's base damage
D = Defender's current Defense/Special Defense

And the rest of the formula

(Raw damage X T) X M X R ÷ 255

T = Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB): If the attacker's attack matches its type (Pikachu using Thundershock), T = 1.5. Otherwise, T = 1

M = Effectiveness.

R = Random number between 217 and 255

If we fill in the numbers, we get this.

(2 X 100 ÷ 5+2) X 298 X 90 ÷ D)/50+2)

(Raw damage X 1.5) X 0.5 X R ÷ 255

As soon as I work out the defenses and HP for a Kazam of level 75 rare-candied raised, I do the rest of the formula. Including the randomness of the defense/sp def power of the Kazam, and the randomness of the attack formula itself.

no the celebi was not raised by the gameshark, that is just where i got the celebi, and the alakazam was only raised to lvl 75 cause it was getting boring using the rare candies(i am the owner of the alakazam, i battled using my two gba's and the silver and gold version) and celebi was still weak though

Could you make it easy for me and tell me their stats and moves.

So if you got Celebi at lv. 100, then he could have still been raised by the Gameshark.

A simple way to tell if you have your Celebi's stats Maxed out:

Max HP = (Level x (Base + 15 + (65535 / 2048) + 50) / 50) + 10
Others = (Level x (Base + 15 + (65535 / 2048) / 50) + 5

It might help. if the stats are not Maxed out, but the Alakazam's was, I am sure that it would beat Celebi. All of Celebi' base stats are 100, and Alakazam's are as follows:

HP:55 Attack:50 Defence:45 Special Attack:135 Special Defence:85 Speed:120

Now, you do the math, ((I would have, but I left my Scientific Calculator at my Mom's)) and you can find out. My suggestion: If Celebi's stats are not maxed, you might want to try iron, calcium, and the other stat boosting items.

Well, I did the math, and a Kazam of the specified situation would have...

HP=167-190
Atk= 80-102
Def= 72-95
Sp atk=207-230
Sp Def= 132-155
Speed=185-207

That is the veriance of genes, along with no Stat exp. Just plug that into the formula...
(2 X 100 ÷ 5+2) X 298 X 90 ÷ 132)/50+2) =172

(172 X 1.5) X 0.5 X R ÷ 255 =108-128

(2 X 100 ÷ 5+2) X 298 X 90 ÷ 155)/50+2) =147

(147 X 1.5) X 0.5 X R ÷ 255 =93-110

So a psychic from Celebi with a Max Sp atk of 298 would inflict anywhere from 93 to 128 points of damage, considering all factors from Kazam.

Now, If Kazam were to use fire punch...

(2 X 100 ÷ 5+2) X 207 X 75 ÷ 298)/50+2) =45

(45) X 2 X R ÷ 255 =76-90

(2 X 100 ÷ 5+2) X 230 X 75 ÷ 298)/50+2) =50

(50) X 2 X R ÷ 255 =85-100

So a Kazam with the specified situations would inflict anwhere from 76-100 points of damage to a Celebi with it's stats maxed out.

Now, how could the Celebi lose? If the Celebi would use just 2 or 3 Psychics, Kazam would be dead when it would take 4 or 5 fire punches to kill the Celebi. That would mean that there had to have been a critical hit on the Kazam side, possibly twice for the Kazam to win. Now, if you would tell me Celebi's actual stats, and the Kazams actual stats, I could come out with more simplistic results.

Wow, CS! Way too much math, for my taste. I used a gameshark and got the GS Ball and caught Celebi. I had to use a lot of different pokemon to weaken him enough, but I got him down and caught him.

Meteora,
Before you can catch Celebi you have to have the G/S Ball. If you don't and you go to the Shrine it just says something like that it was made for the pokemon who guards the forest. That is about it.
