Do you like to be alone or not?

I usually like to be alone when I'm writing or doing something that could get me put into a mental institution, but I mainly like to be alone because I don't think I relate to others well. Trying to proves to be embarrassing, so I figure keeping to myself would be the thing to do. I'm not really like anybody that lives around me because rap music does not impress me. Their conversations are usually about that stuff, plus they like to call themselves thugs, fellas, whatever you can name. I like that song I Can. It points away from stuff like that.

Do you understand? I'm not good at explaining how I feel....

[Edit] Sorry if there was already a thread like this, but I didn't see it on the first two pages[/Edit]

Yes. I can think. I'm used to being alone. Ever day I go upstairs. Being alone, nothing can harm you. Only yourself, which I am aware of. BUt I can draw, think, and I rather be alone forever, then have fun. Being alone is spiecal...The only thing that makes me happy...

At one point or another one will need to be alone. If you were to be continuously be surrounded by the constant voices or by someone in your actual presence. Talking or not, you would eventually break, there is no two ways around such a thing. You need to be alone every once in awhile. Of course the lengths of how long you want to be alone will differ.

Me personally, I like to be alone. I would rather not have it any other way. Unless I was with someone who I truly wanted to be with. Which would include my Friends sometimes. But most of all my Girl Friend. I really cant take much of people talking, unless it is something actually relatively close to an intelligent conversation. Which does not happen often for me. I like to hang with my friends when I'm at school, but I don't see them over the summer time. They're nice to talk to when they start the conversation, but with me I'm usually talking about Digimon or my creations. I'm a real fantasy person instead of a people person.

But, like I said, I like to be alone to entertain myself with what I like. I hate being in a room full of noise because somebody doesn't want me to be anti-social. I guess you can say I relate to people who like to talk about games....

Ah, alone. What a way to get your mind off your troubles. It's peaceful and quiet. My room is my favorite place to be because I can do whatever when I'm alone. I like my freedom.

Yeah, I think that's the only time when people talk to me that I won't shut up. Video games are my #1 favorite topic of conversation and it's even better when you're talking to someone who's just as enthusiastic, or, as is the case with a few people on the boards here, even more enthisastic about games than I am.

Sometimes I love being alone, other times I can't stand it; most of the time though it's the former. Being alone gives you time to think and create, and just, be.
I've met a couple people that can just chill and hang out and not have to talk all the time, I lke that, just watch some TV, or go outside and paint, but there aren't too many people like that, hence why I like being alone more.

I absolutely love being alone. You can just be by yourself, with your thoughts, and you don't have to worry about what somebody else thinks of you. You can do anything you want - drawing, watching tv, thinking..it's a great feeling.

I used to always like being alone, but over the last year I made some pretty good friends at school. Now it's summer and I haven't seen my friends since. It's good to be alone every now and then because then you get some time to organize your thoughts, think, draw, or whatever. But I have been alone for quite some time over the summer and I really miss my friends right now. Mainly it's because of things that have been happening in my life right now. Things where I need my friends the most.

But to answer the question, yeah I like to be alone, but not too long though.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. Plus, I usually can't go anywhere so you can sorta say I have to get use to it. I also don't understand some people, but if course I wouldn't tell them that. I don't think they understand me either...

I like being alone for periods at a time. it's when I get most of my music practice done and anything else that I need to do during the day. but if I were to go for even a week without so much as talking to anybody, I'd probably go crazy 0_o. either that or improvise and make little sock buddies for me to talk to. *gets out the buttons and glue*

I love spending time with my close friends, but some of them can get really annoying after long periods of time. So then I just want to be alone where I can think and write and play video games and watch anime and no one will interfere. You see, none of my friends like anime or video games nearly as much as I do and many of them like to talk right in the middle of an episode of DBZ or Cowboy Bebop or when I'm fighting a boss on Zelda or something.

But I always want to be alone as far as boyfriends go because they cling to you all the time and I like my solitude. I don't think it would be worth it.

I like being alone more than being in the company of others. It's good to have someone to talk to in person, but I tend to get drained easily if I talk a lot without doing anything else. Solitude is good, although, the opposite also applies. If I'm down, spending time with someone helps me get right back into spirit.

Let me tell ya, being alone is overrated. Look at yourself!!! What the heck are you doing? Your surfing OB trying to find comraderie, lol. You may preach that being alone is the only way to be but you just lable yourself hypocrites.

I like being alone and I like being with people. But sometimes, I'll get into a mood where I have to be alone. I'm a jerk to everyone until they get the hint. +shrug+ And I have to be alone to write. Whether that means physically alone or alone in my head, it doesn't matter. I have to feel like there's no one around me that will bother me while I write.

I think there is a massive difference between being alone physically and being alone online. I can tune any of you out anytime I want to. I can be an *** with very little consequence. None of you really know me, so there's this certain anonymity. You don't get that in person, and at times it can all be overwhelming. I like to get away from all of that.
