Do you like to be alone or not?

I love to be online alone in my room. I can talk to people, but I don't need to really be there. I can get away from them at any time. I don't spend much time at home doing anything other than being online talking to people. I do watch TV often though, and that can be just as fun if there's something good on.

I hate being alone.

I hate it. All I do is go to a movie. alone. Hang out at the mall. Alone. I do See one of my only reliable friends quite often, I know him IRL and here @ OB, although he doesn't post often, and that keeps me borderline on sanity.

It's good to have company. Lonliness sucks and it's aggravating!.
Well, it really depends for me, sometimes I like the alone feeling and sometimes I need people, I need to be around them, to talk to them, even if I annoy them, I just need to talk to someone. o.o;

But for awhile now I like being alone, mostly cause I'm playing my bass a lot more than usual. Learning new stuff on it so, so I guess that keeps me pre-occupied and my parents leave me alone since I'm practicing something that they paid for. :)

I like being alone most of them time. Then i have time to think about stuff, like a dream i had last night, how much i miss my teachers from school ( i liked 5 of them.. ), i also guess when my girlfriend will get back from vacation and if she'l actualy talk about something that doesn't involve video games or sex ( usualy most people would this wouldn't be much of a problem or a guy but hell, she a horny teen gamer.. wow, quite a catch..yeah..right, she's pretty hot too..Only if i can keep her until school starts..BRAGGING RIGHTS! ).

Back to being alone, being alone gives me time to do stuff that i can;t do while anyones there. I also don't like being a a large group of people ( if there are a lot of hot girls there that are my age i'm like: " errr..uhhh..yeah.. " ), being alone gives me time not to be shy or embarassed, i'm surprised i got a girlfriend in the first placem being as pale as i am..

I also like being alone because i have 'complex soul' as some would say. There are sides of me no one has EVER seen, everyone has seen the evil side of me, the comedian side of me, the happier than hell me,The preverted me, but no one has seen the real me...The one that is writing this post, no one knows the truth about me, what i realy think. being alone gives me time to bring out myself..

O'well, i guess i'm broing you by now. Some people might say i'm sorta like spike, my GF is gone somewhere, i don't know where i am, i don't see the present in full, i don't give a damn about anything, and i act on instinct.

I have always found that being alone is a very sharp double edged sword. I am a very independent person and I mainly enjoy keeping to myself. I have no qualms about sitting in a movie theatre alone or eating by myself in a restraunt. Since I moved off on my own, I really don't know too many people in the area, and the few I do know I am not sure if I really like. I enjoy being by myself and not having to deal with other people's drama and BS on a regular basis.

On the other hand, it gets lonely. Sometimes I get tired of not having anyone to go to the gym with or to go out drinking and womanizing with. I guess that moving off on your own makes you truly appreciate your good friends...

Gee, I never thought of it that way. I always thought that moving out on my own would be the best thing, but I never thought of how it would be in a new area. Hmm....

I get lonely at times. Usually it's when I'm depressed. Right now, though, I really wish I was alone because my sister's pesky pup is really getting on my nerves....

i like being alone, it really helps me think and i can just breathe and be content, and not have to worry about anything, cuz its just me!

and then i like to be with people, because they bring out the best in me, and make me who i am on a daily basis, and i can really just be myself and have a blast with my friends...so yeah i like both

Being alone is quite comforting at times, but also can be equally maddening. I guess the answer to the question depends on the events of the day and your mood. (How will you feel if you are alone while there is a party to which you were not invited? How will you feel if you are alone during a dark, stormy night?) It all depends.

I'm independent, but I like to do things with other people. Leaving High School, I only have one friend who I keep in touch with IRL and on OB. I also have a exgrilfrind who I would like to try and keep as a friend but I don't see it happening. So I am in limbo waiting to move away to college, hoping that it will be a quick fix cure for lonliness and ambiguity.
I also do online gaming, and talk with people that way to cure lonliness (plus I like teamwork). You meet a lot of weird people (a NYU professor =/, lots of college students, and a few high school kids).

I can easily say that the only time I wouldn't want to be alone is during a thuder storm....That's why when I get off on my own, I'm getting a kitten and a husky puppy. That way, I'll have to be brave for my little darlings...

I also hate having to kill bugs...unless there was some bug spray somewhere.

If I were upset or mad, that's when I would really want to be left alone. I don't like to be bothered when I'm mad. I'm liable to snap on somebody...

Depends on what I'm doing at the moment, and what kind of mood I'm in.. Most of the time, my friends find joy in either
A) Finding a girlfriend that will dump him in a week or less (Specifically my one friend Ethan..) or
B) Running into walls and otherwise demeaning yourself for cash. (Sounds like they have a special place on MTV when they grow up..)

I, however, prefer being alone admiring my shy semi-girlfriend from afar... Occasionally talking to her.

But other times it's best to be with friends.. ^_^' Most of the time, I'm just a lonely lonely loner, desiring affection from just one other specific person..

Most of the time I like to be alone. With all my siblings, I've come to treasure what little peace, quiet, and solitude I can get. heh...

But there are a few moments when I just need to be around some of my friends and talk or something.

Not much else to say.

Being alone in my apartment is something that I've never liked. I have a new roommate that is home a lot more often than my old one, and it's great to actually have someone to talk to during the day.

Most of the time I prefer being with Erik over having time by myself. Besides, I do boring things when I'm alone like get online and reading trashy magazines...sorta a waste of my time ^_^;

I prefer when it's not crowded in public places. Quite an oxymoron there. ^^

Typically, when a shopping center or movie theater is crowded, groups of people act out for attention in the most annoying of ways. They'll yell inane remarks or throw articles of clothing around (usually males). The hooting, the hollering, the thoroughly unfunny but unbearably loud inside jokes--you can keep it.

I don't particularly mind a little obnoxious behavior, but it's rarely delivered it small, infrequent doses. Consequently, I become annoyed and say something (the degree of offensiveness depends on that kind of day I'm having) to others that embarrasses the people I'm with. It's not a friendly cycle at all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude or anything. But, there's a time and a place for silly behavior. And when I'm enjoying my overpriced movie, I should be able to hear it. When I go to the library, I want to be able to read. If I'm in class, I want to be able to hear the lecture. If you're in a club or at a party, go for it. Be loud.

Overall, I'm not bothered by being around people. I've been around them my entire life. I've gone to school with them, I don't live alone, and I have to work around them on a daily basis.

Most of the time, I prefer limiting the numbers, though.

I hate being alone. I can't stand it.

I'm alone now, in my room on the computer. I'm cracking. The only reason I'm online is to talk to you guys. I'm not alone online, you see. :whoops:

Usually I can't bare to be at home, when I could be in town with my friends. I think that's why I hate home so much.

I hate going out because there's nothing I ever see that new, uniqe, or different......I just get bored and then I'd want to go home. I'm so bored, I can't wait till school starts again...Then I can come home and really enjoy being alone...:D..........

I like being alone. My mom works a lot so I'm used to it, and my dad died 2 or 3 years ago. So, I'm alone all the time, and I enjoy it. Though after about the first two weeks of a complete shut off of society I begin to feel edgey and need to be around people. But I still like being alone where I can think what I want, do what I want, and say/scream, what I want.

I actually enjoy both. ^_^

Being alone helps me catch up on some thinking, and pretty much sweep away some stress and anger. When I have some time alone, I can relax and calm down. That's why I don't get angry very easily, because I have so much time to be alone and lift some of that stress. However, I absolutely love company. It's always fun having people to talk to, and just have a conversation with. Even if I'm not talking to anyone, it's still nice knowing you have people around you, and you're not the only person in the world. And when I say company, it doesn't always have to be a huge group of people or anything. I can just have one other person, or just one, two, or three friends to talk to. And if I'm on a trip, or my friends are on trips, my dad's really fun to talk to as well, suuu... I don't have to go bugging my dad or my friends all the time. ^_^;;;;

Hm, interesting question.

For the first five years of my life, I was an only child. Then my sister was born...and now I have three younger siblings.

So, early on, I learned how to make my own fun. And ever since, I've been totally comfortable with being alone.

But, mostly I prefer to be around people. I like it when I'm with two or three people, rather than an entire crowd.

But sometimes I really enjoy being in a place with lots of people -- like school and such. It's just that I wouldn't want to be like that all the time. At home, I don't like having so many family members around all at once, so I often stay in my room or in the study.
