Street Punk

Does anyone else like street? Stuff like, A Global Threat, Toxic Narcotic, The Unseen, The Varukeers, The Virus, Cheap Sex, Devotchkas, Chaotic Dischord, US Bombs, US Chaos, Lower Class Brats, Angelic Upstarts, The Business, and anything else like it because I can't think of anymore for the moment.

Right now I'm hooked on Toxic Narcotic, The Unseen, and A Global Threat.

Anyway, A Global Threat is pretty good, but I've heard very little of them. I love the Unseen, and the Lower Class Brats. But the other stuff you listed I've never heard of, I ran a search for Toxic Narcotic on KaZaA ++ and it didn't turn anything up. So I doubt I'll ever hear them.

Well first off, street punk is the best punk and should be "labelled" "punk" because it started it, not this new crappy punk. Real stuff. Devotckas is good. I like them. Toxic Narcotic IS hard to find, it took me awhile to find them, whats your kazaa name? Cause can't you just look at my playlist and download the songs from me?

Anyway Fiasco, as you know from speaking to me about Warped Tour I am just as much into bands like the Unseen as I am into whatever you would not have listed.

You mention a bit negatively Anti-Flag and the Casualties. I am a bit of a fan of Anti-Flag, I would say their major turn-off is that Justin Sane's voice is a bit whiney. I have never really been too into the Casualties, though...

I am really not going to take the time to differ between such bands as to which is more "punk". I shall just listen to both whenever it suits me.[/size]

but sex pistols are the original punk band and ramones are under the catergory by many people as street punk, But as in street punk do you mean Skater Punk?

The Ramones are and were a pop punk band. I don't know why so many people classify them as otherwise, but that's what they were. That's why I find it odd what groups people call pop punk now. I'd stick half of them in the pop rock category, if that.

The Sex Pistols are goofy and just as manufactured as many boy bands today. I enjoy their music, but they definitely aren't what people who consider themsevles well versed in such music would call true punk... whatever the hell people might consider that to be this month (seems to change constantly depending on who I talk to and what's popular at the time).

To me it doesn't even matter. I listen to what I want to listen to. I'm not overly fond of genre nitpicking either.

Anyway, Kazaa doesn't allow you to look up specific usernames for some odd reason. They have to be one of the people that shows up in your file searches first.
