Guest Anakin Solo
My favorite game ever. I just beat the came last night on Legendary. I have no officially beaten the game on every single difficulty. :-) Love the game. My favorite level is 343 Guilty Spark for some reason, heh. I also read the books, and loved them both. :-)
Chaud
yeah, the books were awesome too, i beat the game a few days after it came out, lol, i am freakin obsesed, lol
Guest Oyeah
First one to say it's not the best hey? Oh well. The game was rushed to be released with XBOX's launch. If they had waited a while before releasing it, it would have been a lot better. It was a bit repetitive (remember The Library) but multiplayer was awesome! But they've delayed Halo 2 to work on it some more so I'm sure it's gonna crap all over Halo.
Guest Fiasco
God, I hope this hype will EVER die down. I'm so sick of seeing so much HALO HALO HALO in the gaming world. It's just as bad as seeing DBZ DBZ DBZ in the anime world. Psch. The game is good, not the best game though. Could of been a lot better with some changes but I bet they'll make Halo 2 even better. But I wish Halo 2 was REALLY hard and REALLY long so people would play it for awhile before they like go crazy over it. I've read one of the books, the prequel to the series. It's a good book, Eric Nylund did a nice job. :) But my favorite level would have to be Silent Cartographer, I mean, how many times can you just fly into a battle and get guns blazing everywhere? Tobiass
I put it's ok, only because it's not "the" best (imo) but it's definately up there, and I play online a lot with my friends. If anyone plays on XB connect tell me your screen names, maybe we can get some good games going. :)

Charles
Whoa, whoa, whoa! My goodness, this thread is out of hand. I don't want to see any more name calling. 9Eagle7Dragon, your post was almost completely incoherent. Try to present valid points that are actually relevant to the discussion without insulting others. And Fiasco, you've been here long enough to know that swearing and flaming are unacceptable here. Edit your post and remove the vulgarities. Oyeah, you're not helping matters any either by acting as a cheerleader section. If I don't see an improvement in behavior and discussion here, this thread will be closed and I'll take appropriate action against those involved. PsycoGoth
I tink it's a great game and the pinnicle of first-person shooters, but not the best over EVERYTHING
Ryan
I have beaten this game on every difficulty level. It is a very fun game and I still play and never get bored. I do think that they could have done better with it, like more weapons and more vehicles etc... But hopefully they correct that in the second one, which I will be buying the first day it comes out if it is the last thing I do. I can't wait!:)

I think you know better than what you're letting on. lol :) I would have rather not seen it at all. And bypassing the censor system to make swearing more clear is definitely not something that I want to see. We take that very seriously. The swear filtering is in place for a reason, after all. ^^ So yeah, I'm not stressed out or worked up; I'm just keeping the situation in order. As far as Halo goes--it was one of the reasons I became interested in the Xbox to begin with. It's well executed, but I generally don't see what all the fuss is about. The gun fighting is entertaining to an extent and the friendly artificial intelligence is commendable, but killing scores of the same creatures over and over again loses its charm after a while. Plus, the environments tend to get a bit repetitive; I almost got lost on more than one occasion. Overall, it's definitely a nice first person, and the PC version should benefit from the revamped multiplayer aspects. But, I'd hardly call it a revolution in gaming as others are so quick to do. Guess?
I beat the game quickly on heroic. I'm still try to beat it on legendary, its almost impossible without two players. My favorite levels are Assault on the Control Room and Bloodgulch.
NorykoAngelcry
Does the X-Box make any games other then HALO? . . sorry. . obviously I am not the biggest X-Box fan, and actually had to be convinced to even try to play HALO when I even tried to start playing this particular console. . I obviously think this is the best X-Box game. . far down on the list of any game out there for any system. . but it's great for the Box. Xyandar
I dont know if this thread will last long but I might as well try because the Microsoft section needs attention. Halo is a really amazing game. It has always been the #1 shooter for Xbox. It has amazing graphics qualities and everything. Whenever I go to cheat sites there are no actual cheats.. But I have finally found some really cool ones for the Xbox. This includes Glitches in the game, Ways to get inside secret vehicles, and other stuff. Heres a few of my favorite. #1 Sniper Tower in Blood Gulch. Take a Ghost and look for this huge pillar type rock on the top of the mountain thingy... Go around and there should be a small hill leading up to the mountain. Speed up to it as fast as you can and hold A. You should eventually be able to climb it and get up to that tower. From there you can snipe people out and noone will know where you are. #2 Peek A Boo: This trick is also known as the "hidden marine trick". Pick solo or co-op and then go to the swamp level 343 Guilty Spark. Right at the starting during the cut scene keep on hitting left trigger (or whatever you use on your controller to throw grenades). If you keep on hitting grenades you should stay in the pelican at the start. It will fly and then land on top of a cliff. You can get out by hitting 'X' and you will be on top of the level. You can see 2D trees and all kinds of neat stuff and if you kee walking you will find a marine who won't acknowledge you unless you shoot or melee him. If you keep on walking to the opening where you go underground you will see a battle between some marines and the covenant, but when you go on the cliff and jump down you can see that the "marines" are just floating assault rifles that drop eventually, you aren't supposed to be able to get here fast enough if you walk through the level normally so the creators hadn't planned on you seeing this. Well these are a few of mine! Post some of your favorite ones!!!
NorykoAngelcry
I really only knew of the 'Sniper Tower' in Blood Gulch. The only reason that I knew of that was because of one of the guys I played Halo with at college this semester. He never really used it (since it is pretty cheap to use a glitch, especially one that only he knew about), but then again, the time it took to get up there, and the time it takes to get enough sniper ammo to be able to hold yourself up there for a while. . it really isn't worth it. If you play the sniper match, then perhaps it might be. Other then that, I never heard of any other hiding spots like that. I know of a few spots that are not really super secrative, but good enough to catch some people off guard from time to time. The one that a friend showed me was in the Sidewinder level (my personal favorite level). If you come out the left side of the red base, follow the wall around to the left. On the wall parallel to the first rock structure, there is a small little ledge that ramps upwards. It isn't much, and it doesn't even really take you high enough to see everything. But, it gives you a good enough view to see most of the top of the red base, the ledge area in the middle of the level, and enough of the ledge that the red base transporter takes you too. Plus, because it is off the ground a little bit, most people pass over it when they are looking for you (especially other snipers). It is especially helpful if you are on the blue team. Since that area is in the shadows already, being blue hides you all the more. I usually get myself a pistol and a sniper rifle, letting me take far targets as easily as near targets. Since you are close to the red base, enemies that spawn there are easy targets. Catching them off guard allows you to kill them in the confusion, while remaining hidden. It's pretty fun, and only really gives you a few kills, so in that respect, it's not that cheap to use. Even when they learn of the spot, it's surprising how little it enters into their mind once they start getting shot from it. . lol
Legato284
I would have to say Side Winder because of the towers. Im a sniper kinda guy that is very good at it too! Even with a pistal! ::waiting impatiently for the Halo 2 release::
NorykoAngelcry
I have no idea what this has to do with secrets in the game Legato284, LOL. . I guess you just wanted it to be known that you love the game. It's all good, but this isn't really the thread to do it in. No sweat though. . just read what the topic is about before you post, and there won't be any worries. Xyander, I have tried to do the second trick you have talked about, but to no avail. . I have only tried twice. . so, I will just have to read your guide while playing the X-Box to understand it. =) On a small side note, some of my buddies spent like ten minutes trying to kill the Marines that come in the bridge at the beginning of the game when you kill the captain =P Always a waste of time. .
