Masterdramon
As a boy speaking, I can say that I've never seen any boy do the things you're describing. I think that boys aren't better than girls, but on the same hand, girls are certainly not better than boys. We're all equals.
inuyashaluver12
I agree with masterdramon but guyz got to be more careful of what they say to us.That is all I'm sayin.
Guest Altron Gundam
The truth is, gender has no preference when coming to the skills of YGO duelists. Its just that guys tend to underestimate any female that comes in as a challenge. The bottom line is the people who finally grasp the standard base of building a deck(stapled out) and then filling in the slight parts of their theme will be an extremely skilled duelist. Demonic Angel
Originally posted by dbzanimegrl17 You know what I've noticed? That most of the people who play the game are guys. I'm also a girl who plays yugioh cards. I've beaten lots of ppl. Well sometimes I lost. e.e I don't think that boys should make fun of girls who plays yugioh cards. Everyone has their own favorite things to do and no one can change that. So please don't make fun of girls!
I have no preference over what the gender of my opponent duelist is. However, I do know that nobody on this board, guy or girl can beat me. I'm just too experienced. In any case, to whoever posted above you, I find that post good for you, but remember not EVERYTHING can be mimicked by girls and done better. Several sports...rugby, football(please don't get me started on women trying to play tackle football), basketball(the WNBA is pathetic, like 2 ppl watch it every season, not saying hs girls basketball isn't bad), and so on. Japan
I don't play YuGiOh that much...but I do agree with you. Having card games like this be for guys only is a false accusation.
G.D. Ryoko
I really don`t think that it`s guys that make fun of girls but it`s atually girls that make fun of girls that are in to dueling. I don`t mean to upset anyone but that`s how it is for me. At my school, my male friends don`t care if I duel or not however my female friends say"eew, yugioh is for boys!" and crap like that. It makes me sick when they say that to me and is always my male friends that tend to support me when they see I am intrested in so called "guy stuff"

Kitty
Once again, I'm sorry for all those boys out there who DON'T care about a girl playing YGO. But where I come from, it's everywhere. No guy I meet will take me seriously! I hate it! That's why I started this thread. Remember, I don't think that girls are better than boys or boys are better than girls. All I'm saying is that may of the boys I know don't understand that things like YGO aren't boys only. ~A girl who is a YGO card gamer~
ShinobiOfDeath
that ish shou stereotypical.. gurlz are YGO duelists too.. that's just awkward for ppl to say that YGO ish for guyz.. <_<
darkenshadow
First of all the people around my area have no problem that girls play we like to play yugioh with them and talk while playing and I certainly have no problem that girls play yugioh. In my opinion this subject and many others are magnified even though its not such a big problem. I welcome girls to start playing yugioh and guys have no problem (in my area) and if girls dont want to play fine if guys dont want to play thats fine too but the bottom line is that this subject is looked upon too much and we should just relax. Sorry for the people who live in the areas where girls are not welcome to play yugioh or the other way around.

Guest Forbidden One
 Well around my area, the duelist ratio is pretty equivalent in guys and girls. I've met plenty of great duelist that are girls. I think just like with anything else related to anime, there are some sexist stereotypes but it all depends on your location. Iron_Chef
i don't know any girls who play the game, i think thats a shame really i dont there are "guys only" or "girls only" hobbies so why should YGO be an exception i ould like to see more girls play the game
Guest shadowmatrix
my girlfriend plays and she kicks my butt. i have a dark magician deck(some japanese). she always counters every card i play.
animehuman
Girls can be duelists too. I was almost beat by a girl once, until Black Luster Soldier was drawn. But look at Tea, and Mai.
WolfofDarkstar
i think it shouldnt be a bing deal if girls play ygo or not. i just wish more girls played where im at. the ones ive seen play are tough.
Neptunecat13
I duel! I'm a girl! ^^ There are a few other girl duelists in my area that I know... But I mostly challenge guys. *wins some, loses some* *shrugs* I have a mixed deck. Some of my main cards are: BEWD, St. Joan, Wing Weaver, Obelisk, Exodia (all 5 of course!), & Magic Cylinders. It's a pretty evil deck! ^^
Yami Asura
My girlfriend duels, in fact, she won't shut up about Yu-Gi-Oh, which I am thankful for. I met her at a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament. Anyway, I've duelled her. She thrashed me, which doesn't surprise me cos she's the 2nd best duellist in her area.
Assassin
Girl's and Boy's deserve the same respect people. I mean some girl's can thrash boy's in yu-gi-oh and some boys can thrash girl's. I mean its for everyone to play and enjoy. So I believe girls also love to duel. So its no difference than a boy and a girl dueling than a guy and another guy dueling.
knight cloud
ya like i have a friend and she used to love dueling she was going into a tourney, but never did plus she has beaten every one she knows *thinks* well that might be because she uses all the rarest cards and stuff and im hard to beat too :)
Snodin
Hi, everybody. This is only my second post here, but I'm a giel and I absolutely love playing the Yu-Gi-Oh card game! And I'm glad to know that I'm not the only girl out there that feels this way. We may be a minority, but in a way that works to our advantage because we can really psycke the guys out. For example: Boy: "I wanna challenge the girl; she probably doesn't even know how to play." Girl: [using a perfected Exodia deck] "Okay, if you insist..." [Long story short, the girl wins] If you want to know, I currently use a sub-type deck that centers around Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon. Other types I have right now are fiends, fairies, and one warrior (Amazon Archer- my favorite card). The deck is still being edited, because I'm experimenting on which sub-types work best together. I like to keep it original; come up with something that no one else thinks of, or uses that often. But I would also like to make a harpy deck, because the harpies are also favorites of mine. Okay, that might be a little too cliche of me, but it really was Mai who drew me into the game. I've been tap-dancing (not literally, lol) around the idea of collecting Magic: The Gathering cards, even though I don't really know how to play that game; but that just proves that I've always had an interest in card games. And Yu-Gi-Oh has finalized that for me, because now I'm playing it. Not in an official tournament, but I hope to get there someday.
DragonGirl
I like yugioh, and my deck is mostly made up of dragons and beasts. I get kinda annoyed when people say that only guys sholud be playing yugioh and dat girls should be cooking, cleaning and crap. Anyways I'm kinda a tomboy.
