Those of you who follow the gaming news sites won't see much new information here, but for the rest of you, I thought it'd be worthwhile to share some new information about Killer 7 with you.
IGNcube:
Capcom reiterated that Killer 7 is a game about the struggles between two men whose paths develop into a tale of "fate, revenge, and altering personas." Players assume control of Harman Smith, an assassin who has seven different personalities. Smith has noticed that violence is on the rise. He discovers that anyone with a "heaven's smile," or a crazed and distorted grin on their otherwise blank face, will soon become extremely violent and attack anyone in their immediate touch, but only after a group of these crazed soldiers murders his beloved girlfriend, Suzy. The character switches between his multiple personalities and uses each one's unique strengths and abilities to wage a war against local terrorist figures he considers "deserving to die."
I didn't know what you were talking about at first, but after looking at the screenshots, I find that I recognize this game now! The premise sounds very interesting and if Capcom can pull it off well, I'd be willing to check it out. Hopefully, it will turn out well; it always saddens me when games that try to have some originality and introduce new gameplay concepts fail miserably.

Funny thing is, we know little to nothing about the gameplay mechanics of this game so far. Capcom has been more interested in emphasizing the story elements for the media, rather than focusing on how the game plays.

Hopefully, we'll see a fully playable version at Tokyo Game Show in October. I'm sure that everyone is very eager to look at this game in more detail, particularly when you consider that some highly talented individuals are working on the title.

I'm eager just to get some more news on this game. Hopefully, it'll end up being more than Capcom's cracked it up to be. I just read the news on the website and it sounds pretty good so far. I'd like to hear a lot more on this game after the Tokyo Game Show (which is going to be forever from now).

The game does sound really interesting and I always read up on it when IGN posts new info, but I don't think I'll buy this one. I've been more intersted with P.N.03 and Viewtiful Joe. I hear that Viewtiful Joe sold out of it's first shipment in Japan while at the same time, P.N.03 isn't doing so well.

Right now, I'm interested in knowing how much English will be in the game. I'm hoping it will be as import friendly as VJ and PN03, since the game is looking very impressive.

Dan Rugh, I wouldn't worry about buying this one for now, since it doesn't come out 'till Winter in Japan, and probably 2004 in America.

I know that it's not gonna be out for a long time. There isn't even a playable version of it yet. Heh. It and Resident Evil 4 won't be out til next year, sadly. Oh, and what ever happened to Dead Phoenix? There hasn't been any info on it for quite a while.

If the game is half as good as it looks it's going to be great. The new picture with the zombie like people got my heart racing with anticipation for this game. I am still quite confused with parts of the story. From what I have heard the main character is a guy in a wheelchair with 7 different personalaties or disguises or whatever. The part which confuses me is the wheelchair. Is he paralyzed or does he just use the wheelchair as a ploy to try and keep his identity secret? This game intersts me more then all the other Capcom Gamecube games I am also interested in P.N.03,Viewtiful Joe, and Resident Evil 4 but this game really appeals to me more then the others.

There have finally been some gameplay images of this game released over the past month or so. I don't even know how to describe the game when I look at them.

However, there is a new movie in the meantime... http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~nanko/movies/killer7.wmv

It shows some gameplay scenes. No one knows how it works, but the sections with the blue crosshairs are areas where you actually play in some form.

This game looks very interesting, I like this darker side of cel shading. It seems that every other game has to be cel shaded nowadays, but at least with games like Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Viewtiful Joe, and Killer 7 we've got interesting games to look forward to playing.

I am really interesting in seeing how this game turns out, and I am so far intrigued by it's plot, or what little of it there is, at this point. The idea of controlling a character with alternate personalities sounds quite entertaining, and as far as I know it's only been done in one other, semi-decent game for the Playstation called Clock Tower 2. But this definitely seems like it would be better presented in this game.
