It's the same difference. ;) The point of my post was not to be completely exact, though I thought about changing drunk to hung over, it's that even when he's not at 100%, his aim is a good deal better than those who are.

Wrong. Vash
lived for 150 years ever sine the Big Fall. He has been in numerous shoot-outs since, and his scars do not attest to him being incredibly skilled from the beginning. Even though its a bit different, you see a flash back of Vash's past in the manga and you see images of Vash getting shot, Vash mistakenly killing someone, etc. etc. He was not born that way.

His scars are there because he chooses not to kill the people he fights, not because he wasn't good with a gun (though I imagine he wasn't perfect from the beginning). The fact of the matter is that because he's a plant, he lacks many human faults, so yes, you could say that he's an excellent marksman because he was born as a part plant. As you can see, it doesn't necessarily mean that he was born with excellent skills, just the ability to bring them out.
Yeah, sorry for the correction. It was funny though that he "accidently" shot all of the bottles. Oh yeah, you guys never put up Wolfwood or any of the Gung-Ho Guns for this. THey are some pretty good Gunmen too. Especially Wolfwood!

Oh yeah, Wolfwood is just as good as Gungrave. THere weapons do the exact same thing except Wolfwoods is a Cross.:D

Wrong-o! Grave is a very acrobatic Gunman, and his Coffin is WAY different then Wolfwoods Cross-Punisher. Grave can shoot almost all of the Coffins ammo at once, wheares Wolfoowd has to flip his Cross-Punisher around to use the rockets, Which would hinder his movement. But Grave can run, jump waste all of the Coffins Ammo, then begin shooting the Rockets out of it, in just one sitting. One thing Wolfwood's Cross Punisher has over Graves Coffin is handguns, but then again Grave only needs two. Wolfwood's Cross-Punisher dispenses 8.

Thats why his weapon is unrealistic and Wolfwoods isn't! Nyah! Gungrave may have a better gun, but he's not a better gunman! And i bet the cross-punisher ways more and wolfwood just tosses that thing around. Too bad GunGrave IS DEAD! Wolfwood was shot in the back when he was killed. Gungrave fell out of an elevator or what ever.*cough*moron*cough* Gungrave needs his super human/zombie powers to weild that coffin of his. Nyah!P.S.-Grave is even more un realistic because he never runs out of ammo!

It's chained to his arms....thats SOME super human strength there! He was a great gun fighter before he died...Thats WHY he died. Someone killed him cause he knew to much about the Corporation he worked for. NEither of their weapons are Realistic! They are from different realms and they dont know each other. They have so much in common, it hard to pick a favorite. But I did and it happend to be Grave. To ME Grave is a better Gunman...rather because I enjoy choosing the underdog. Wolfwood is TOO popular, as with Vash and everyone else on Cartoon Network. Dont forget about people in other Anime. What about Noir? Great gunfighters there! Hm....Ghost in the Shell...Heck, anyone in Anime who holds a gun is a good gunfighter, its really hard and dumb to choose a best......GO GRAVE!

Thats were your wrong, you have to be known for you r gunfighting skills or just be set as a gunfighter to be a gun fighting character. You can't just use a gun. Heero Yuy uses a gun in Gundam Wing, but he isn't called a gun fighter.

No no no. Listen to me, you're just not getting it. Most characters in Anime who use a gun, use it with precision and great skill. Even if they arent a Gun fighter if they use a gun, they end up using very well. So...you know. Picking just one favorite Gunfighter is pointless.

Oh sorry. I just got kinda cheesed that people would think that a completely non-gunfighter, just a loser who is good at using a gun is better than a true gunfighter. Hey, do you think that one red head girl off of Silent Mobius is a good gunfighter. And why hasn't anyone said Jigen from Lupin the 3rd yet. THat dude is awsome.

Yeah, he rocks. But you rarely get to see his true talents. It mainly Lupin rockin the show, since it IS his show. You never see Jigen having shootouts with other great gunfighters. Yeah, I admit he had great shooting abilities, but he hasn't had the fame and glory he shoudl have. Such as Vash.

Yeah, Lupin is a real ^&*#@$* for taking all the glory. I mean Goemon was getting more lime light than Jigen, but he rarley said or did anything other than cut stuff in half. Poor, POor, Jigen...

I really couldnt stand Lupin, i just think he was mostly all talk and would try to just get out of every single situation with a joke. An Wolfwood was a good gunman, he just couldnt except his past one he beat the one gung-ho-gunman.
At least he got the apple
.

Ok, I don't really classify Vash as a gunfighter. Sure, he uses it in about every episode, but I think what makes a gunfighter a real gunfighter is to shoot to kill. So following this pattern, Spike would have to be a real gunfighter. If you have seen the Real Folk Blues Pt.2, you know what I am talking about.

What are you talking about, Vash is better than SPike, simply because he dosn't have too shoot to kill. Hes just a peaceful guy. He could kill if he wanted, he just doesn't, he always mames the enemy and kills in the last resort.(in the case of Legato)

SPIKE IS THE BEST! spike has style and grace, and is not afraid to go for that kill shot. vash is a worthy contender, but everyone knows the one with the most style always comes out on top. and why do people always put gene in with thhose two? i mean, gene is OK i guess, but hes no contender for the best! but SHIMI, or however you spell it, from owtlaw star, on the other hand, would be the best ever ever ever if he just used guns. i guess you could count him in as a gun-slinger, because he does shoot the occaisional bullet, and on top of it all, hes such a cool guy. so to re-cap, spike would probably beat vash, stop putting gene with them, and shimi would whoop all if you counted him.

It would be a close battle, but I would have to say that Vash would win because he would just shoot all of Spike's out of the air with his expert marksmanship.
