Shinmaru
Really, I could care less about how many reviews my stories get or how popular they are (but I'm probably a little jaded since my most popular story only has about 17 reviews lol). I just like putting my stories/poetry up on the internet; it doesn't matter to me whether people like them or not. But I think the reviews have served a greater purpose to me. I've made lots of friends on the internet just because I sent them some e-mails answering questions about my poetry. I keep in touch with one person in particular just about every day. But to get back on topic, I really don't care how many people like my work, because I know it's not going to blow up and become a success. But, as long as it's on the internet, I'm happy. Circ
I used to have a fanfiction net account, but all my poetry work was moved to FictionPress when they divided the site.
Doukeshi
yes I have both a fanfiction.net and a fictionpress.net account although I wouldn't count my stuff as being any good. I write mainly Gravitation fanfics and some poetry.
eleanor
MillieFan, I don't think explicit anything should even be posted on Fanfiction.net. A while ago, they banned all NC-17 fics...But yes, a lot of people put their lemons in the R-rated section. Didn't really effect me anywho...lol. I just skip over the lemon parts. I hate fanfiction.net's downtime as well, it's getting pretty annoying. Hm...what do I read? Shounen-ai, of course! Lol, it might disgust some of you, but I do read the Harry/Draco pairing (Hence the banner). :P I used to go to Invader Zim because some of the fanfictions there were absolutely hilarious! Not so much now, though ^_^. I mainly go to the anime section, reading mainly the Yami no Matsuei, Gravitation, Evangelion, WeiB Kreuz...and uhm... oh yes, Gundam Wing. If any of you read or want to read Evangelion, I reccomend the author Random1377, his stories are pure awesome. (seriously) Heh, I'm a very picky reader. I usually read stories that only have good grammar/spelling, with a compelling plot that is actually well-written. If I see more than two errors in a paragraph, I just stop reading it! lol
Lady Asphyxia
I do the same thing. However, if the piece isn't formatted [For instance, if there's no bold, nothing to distinguish the author's note from the story or something] then I won't read it. It's hard to find things that suit that requirement, but the story always seems sloppy in my mind if it isn't formatted. [Hrm. Have you read anything by Rhysenn, by the way?] While NC-17 fics were banned, fiction writers just class it under 'R', because on the creation page, 'R' is actually 'R -- not suitable for under seventeen' or something to that effect. It sort of makes the getting rid of NC-17 redundant, now, doesn't it? It's easy to skip over those parts, though.
eleanor
Nope, not Rhysenn. What does that author write?
Shinmaru
Well, it's very ironic, but Fiction Press has been down the last few days and Fan Fiction has been working perfectly. Great...just great. Figures that it happens after I say Fiction Press is better run than Fan Fiction.
Lady Asphyxia
Rhysenn writes Draco/Harry. Irony is so annoying some times, isn't it? Are there fandoms that you just wouldn't touch, for any reason?
Mist
I'm under the penname Mist188 on ff.net, but I haven't been in writing mode for a very, very long time. I'm trying to get back in it, but I can't keep up a story anymore. As for Fiction Press, I remember editing a story for one of my old friends who had an account there. That's probably the only relation I have to it. Going into genres, I would have to say my favortie one is Action/Adventure. (If the plot is planned out right.) It encompasses pretty much all the genres, in my opinion. Of course, humour is always great. ^_^
MillieFan
I will absolutely not read twincest or noncon fics for any reason. Those fics are simply, absolutely sick, and although I've seen a few *interesting justifications* for it in summaries and in author's notes (such as "so they're not human, get over it," for twincest yaoi or "how else do you think a relationship like that could work?" for noncon het or noncon yaoi  ) I don't see how anyone could read that sludge. ^sigh^

Karta
I too am part of FF.net. I go by Karta (If you couldn't see that coming ^_^). I write lots of Yu-gi-oh but I've done some Gundam Wing, Rurouni Kenshin, and Final Fantasy 8. I am afraid I also suffer from a case of writer's block (I'm in a period of disgust too. After reading through a lot of my work, I realized that most of it isn't up to my nonexistent standards.)
Kesaki_Inedia
I'm an author on ff.net. Sadly I only have one story going. But I might get one up about ruroni kenshin.
eleanor
Rhysenn=goodness. :P Like her stuff. But there are things I won't read. 1) Bad grammar. If I see a story that has more than three blatant grammar errors in one paragraph, I will stop reading it. If they have too many mispelled words, no way am I reading it. (yes, I'm extremely picky) 2)Stories that make fun of or try to purposely insult a chracter, a theme, or anything else. 3)Crappy five-minute stories with no plot or interest. MillieFan
Over the last few days, there have been more new writers in the Trigun section from what I see: and surprisingly, there are actually some good stories and even some really funny songfics (for those, look up the user "MSkyDragons"-the Meow Mix one is a riot but contains a ton of spoilers so don't read it yet if you're watching the anime on TV for the first time ~.^) There's a new WxV yaoi lemon (GRRRRR) and a few incredibly stupid self-insertion Mary Sues (GRRR again) nevertheless there also seems to be more quality writers coming there again. I wish Babboo (one of my favorite writers) would get her newest chapter of "When It's Over" online. -^.^-
Avaris
Well you know Asphy, you told me to go there. Yeah I have an acount- Qiana Elfsong (I knew NO ONE else would have that name)
Guest Taka Llusion
Yuppers, Taka Llusion's the name. One fic up, and one review I posted myself when I was sick of waiting. It's not good at all, I think, but that's just my low self-esteem speaking. I admire those who can write funny stuff, and I may try it sometime... You all wouldn't like it though, I assure you. I'm funny inside my own head; elsewhere, not so much. Give me some reviews, please? Even if they say "You're story sucks!" or something like that, a review's a review. I'm so desperate it's not even funny.
MillieFan
Hey, I write humor sometimes (my humor stories are "Trigun Meets People's Court" and the albeit unfinished "The Great Gunsmoke Smokeout"), and I think I was the same way. If you can write legible humor without a ton of stupid lemony jokes, then I'll throw some good reviews your way -^.^-
eleanor
Ah...fanfiction.net is down. Again. I used to read the Zelda section a lot, and it was becoming overrun with '5-minute fics' which were basically crappy stories that were just plain stupid. >_< I think that's why I left. But if any of you do like Zelda, The Five and Legend of the Ark (I think that's the title) are both very well written stories by Fierce Deity. His original characters=awesome. He's a great author... I love writing funny stories, it's very fun. I don't ever post them on ff.net, though. Sometimes my humor fics has vulgar humor and they usually have character froms different games.
Karta
Humor is my specialty! I'm not all that successful, but my Rurouni Kenshin comedy, "Could Sessha Be Pretty", is actually doing rather well. I just hope I don't mess up or do something stupid! I'd be really upset if I turned away some of my readers. . . Of course, what I really want to do is write a good drama/romance! Anything not in the comedy or angst genre! (I've tried again and again, but I'm just too outlandish and sappy. . .)
Guest MasakaGirl
:D I am Part of Fanfiction.net and Fiction Press, butthe only thing I have on fictionpress is a angsty poem I composed after reading Edgar Allen Poe peoam for two hours straight and ony eating copressed rice cookies. My Name is ShojoAngel.I do Mostly Xmen Stories.:glasses: My humor attempt are usually on the violent side so I'm taking a crack at a Card Captors romantic comedy. Ultimate Gohan
I have a Fanfiction.net account and a FictionPress account, so far I've only written DBZ Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon humor stories. My pen name is RLB at ff.net.
Guest MasakaGirl
Anyone know of any good after series Trigun fanfiction? I need inspiration, or I'd even take some really bad fanfiction. I tried FF.net but I only got two that wanted I read past the first two paragraphs. It's a OOT request I know but I thought I'd ask instead of making a big lonely topic.^_^;
Ultimate Gohan
I found one at ff.net that seems like a good Trigun fic, but I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1331644
terra
I have a slightly off-topic question, but it does have to do with ff.net. Er ... what exactly are limes and lemons? :) I've heard them mentioned often, but don't know what they are.
