ERm Lemon and Lime are just another way of saying there is smut in the fic. ><;; Smut means pornographic content. NC-17 is another way of saying smut. If you see a fic with a nc-17 rating that means smut. I learned that the hard way , before ff.net took all Nc-17 content off the site. Ithink Lime is equal to a R rating ina movie, and Lemon is just kinda smut.

Thank you for the link Gohan!^_^

Basically, a Lemon is smut, NC-17 content, also known as graphic sex scenes. Really, people should try to stay away from writing those, because they're usually badly done. However, they are popular, and many writers face a struggle of opinion. Do they want to be popular, or do they want to write clean stories? It can often be a hugely difficult question for someone who isn't sure of their talent and needs reassurance. Sadly, they often decide on the former and proceed to add to the already badly written lemons out there.

Anyway, someone might have a story of a high rating, and it might have graphic sex scenes in it -- however, 'A lemon' is usually a story that has no plot other than smut. AKA, P-W-P, or Porn Without Plot.

Lime refers to R rated fics. They usually have non-graphic sex scenes, and feature only mildly in the fic. They are often better written, but not as popular.

How do I know this? No, I'm not a smut writer. My favorites page for fanfiction.net is set to any rating of any genre -- I believe in variety.

Anyone know of any good after series Trigun fanfiction? I need inspiration, or I'd even take some really bad fanfiction. I tried FF.net
but I only got two that wanted I read past the first two paragraphs. It's a OOT request I know but I thought I'd ask instead of making a big lonely topic.^_^;
I know of some GREAT stuff in that category. Seriously. In fact, I've only read the Trigun and Big O sections, so I have the time to see the best from both past and present IMHO written for those animes, and if you want to see my particularly favorite stories by other writers, since it's too laborious to list them all here individually, check out this link. http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=401972&hal=stories#bot

Anyway, I have everything there, aside from lemons/limes which I do not like very well at all. (and if "Trigun Epilogue" is still there, don't bother with it as I've tried to remove it several times. The writer started out good, but then turned the work into both a self-insertion Knives fangirl Mary Sue and a lemon. )

*pokes Brood* You know who I am neesan... :shifty:

*points at siggy* Yup, I'm on FF.N. My penname is Wingleader Sora Jade. I mainly write Yu-Gi-Oh fanfics, but I have tons and tons of other fics too, ranging all the way from Gundam Wing to Digimon to Lord of the Rings.

My most "famous" story (or rather, set of stories) is my Tales of the Child of Fate, which is a Ryou-centered YGO fic. ^~ As well as The Void Behind My Eyes, which is a Ryou-centered angst/tragety. :p I tend to write a lot of angst...

*stares at Bandit Joeykuba* Darkgatomon? The Darkgatomon?! O_O;; Amazing creator of As If!?! *prostrates herself* I am not worthy to post on the same forum as you!!!

I'm a member of fanfiction.net, but I only have one fanfic up at the moment. If you want to read it, it's under Trigun by Rei Jaganshi. If you do read it, please review! Tankees!

Pen Name: VincentHawking

I only have one fic called "Trapped in Another Dimension" Sadly, it's a huge crossover...Final Fantasy 7&8, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam, Sailor Moon...and that's just the first 3 chapters...

Of course I also have some of my friends from this world in there, including myself.

As for how I found fanfiction.net, I just searched for fan fiction.

Feel free to read it! And I don't mind harsh reviews.

On fanfiction.net, I'm Artemis20 (imagine that?) ;)
So far, I've written GW fiction and another one that really should be on FictionPress, but I'm too lazy. It's about an anime obsessed high school girl who ends up actually going into various anime shows. (So far, just Trigun, and I really need to work on this on some more.)
Does anyone else find school a major hindrance in being able to write as much/many fic(s) as you'd like?
By the way, I found the site by emailing an author whose GW fic was on another site. She hadn't sent the rest of it to that site yet and told me to go to ff.net to see the rest. (That story, "Crimson Shards of Glass" is the most impressive GW I've ever read. I definitely recommend it!)

I have an account at fanfiction, but after the flight of my muse (yeah, always blame it on the muse) I haven't written in a good year or so. My name there is Naoko Cat Girl, if you want to check out the few Ranma or Inuyasha stories I DID finish.

My penname at ff.net is Dagger IX1.... coincidence? Not at all.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of a YYH Hiei/Kurama fic right now. Go ahead and read it! Feedback is awesome, but not required. ^_^

I also have a lot of FF7 and Chrono Trigger story ideas, but those'll have to wait a little while.

Well.... it's possible that someone reported your fic to the admins, for whatever reason. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how well-written a fic is--if it breaks the rules, then chances are that it'll be taken off. The admins don't have time to screen every single entry themselves, so they leave it up to individual readers to report fics. That's probably why your fic wasn't taken off immediately.

You have my condolences, but there's not much anyone can do about this kind of thing. Guidelines are guidelines, and they're there for specific reasons, not merely to torment innocent writers. Maybe you could try posting your fics on MediaMiner.org, which I've been led to believe has far fewer rules than ff.net.
