RPG The Shinobi Trials

[COLOR=blue][SIZE=1][B]Jiko was sort of getting annoyed by this maze, and he wanted to get out. [I]Enough is enough.[/I]

"Alright, Vince is right about sticking together, but we also have to find the end of the maze. So who has any ideas?" Jiko said, and waited for a reply, none came, though some opened their mouthes then shook their heads.

"Well, I think I have one" The Kray guy said outloud. Every turned their attention to him.

"We could just go into the same trap door as the chunin and follow him." He said.

"Great idea just one problem, there are steel bars over the hole." Vince said.

"Wait! He does have a good point!" Jiko said and ran over to inspect the bars. They were spaced close together but somebody skinny enough could fit through if they wanted to.

"Does anyone think they could slide through? " Everbody came over and one at a time tryed sliding through the bars. Xion and Jiko being the skinniest of them all were the only ones who actually fit. Xion was about to go through when Vince stopped him.

"Should both of you go and us stay here until you get back or should just one of you go?" Vince asked Xion and Jiko, but also everybody else. Jiko suddenly got another idea.

"How about this? Me and Xion go into the tunnel and follow it just to see the general direction it goes then come back here. Climb out and tell all of you. Then we will head in that direction, that way we won't have to split up, yet still be able to follow the Chunin." Everyone seemed to like that idea better than the other one. [/COLOR][/SIZE][/B]

[Little Serenity]

Michiko sat on the bench at the end of the maze, the Chunin watching her carefully. "Jeez, I hope they get here soon. I'm getting bored putting on this act."

"What act?"

She sighed, "Okay, yeah, I know." She paused. "I really hope that they didn't follow us down that trapdoor."

"They're not stupid."

"Well... eager is more like it. The maze is built on a thirty foot tall basement, entirely concrete. If one fell from such a distance..."

"Right. There's no way out."

"Well, yeah, that's mainly it. This maze isn't lethal, just tricky. The countries would have my head if it was fatal."

"But at the same time, if they fell into a trapdoor..."

"They would fall onto a layer of pillows." The Chunin sweatdropped, "So?!! They would only find the exit once it was presented to them. It's pitch black down there. Only someone with the knowledge of the maze would be able to aim for another trap door and make it..." she sighed. "Let's hope they hurry up and get here, ne?"

[Geist]

[COLOR=blue]
[I]Kisho ran along the large maze, taking any shortcut he could. This allowed him to move a bit faster, but it also kept him from the Chunin's trail.
"Oh well, it doesn't matter right now." He thought. "I already have a pretty good idea of where he was headed, and I need to cut down his head start. I wonder...could this all just be part of the test? Could that Chunin just be acting under Michiko orders? It's possible but I'd better treat this situation like the real thing."
Kisho sped up and as he rounded another corner, he heard several voices. He found out that they were Genin, just like him.[/I]
"I know the Chunin came this way. Where did he go?" [I]He asked.[/I]
[/COLOR]

[Little Serenity]

Michiko and the Chunin sat there, looking positively bored.

"Are they going to come anytime soon?" The elite ninja groaned. "They've only got around thirty minutes left."

"Maybe they all died." Michiko mused.

"Right. Genin of their caliber, don't die in petty situations like this."

"Well, hopefully they'll figure out that they only have to turn right and go straight from where they were. Today's been so... tiring..." Michiko yawned. The Chunin rolled his eyes.

[Squall]

I'm going to guess that means stop with the freaggin maze and hurry up.

Vince was starting to become very annoyed. "I apologise for my haste, but we must hurry." He unsheathed his sword and walked to a wall. He cut through the wall and the peices fell to the floor. He started running, cutting through the walls that got into his path. 'Why would the Chunun keep us alive?' He thought. 'We have no social power, no control of any form of goverment, and yet he still relies on us to make his demands a reality.' He finally came to a wall that wouldn't be peirced by blade. "this room is specially reinforced, something very important is in here." He shouted back to the others.

[Ayokano]

[COLOR=red][size=1][B][I]Ki put his hands on his kneens and to a breath.He saw as a other Genin came,and he looked up,with his left eye close.[/I]

Ki:Hi,I'm Ki!

[I]Ki heard his voice echo....And he soon started to think....Wat if he could....[/I]

Genini:That's great,I am Kisho nice to meet....
Ki:Shut up.....
Kisho:Why?
Ki:I'm trying to do something.

[I]Ki soon yelled in the maze as everybody stared at him.He then stoped,and stared to listen to his voice echo in the corrners in the maze.It soon exited out somewhere.He looked to his right and saw the way out.[/I]

Ki:Hey everybody,to the right!

[I]They started to run to the right,and they could see light at the corner.They ran past it,and could see the exit.Half way a trap door open,and all the Geini jumped.Ki could see white pillows as he fliped thourgh the air.He had lost his train of thought,and landed on his head.[/I]

Ki:What...the.....

[I]He got up and headed for the exit.[/I][/COLOR][/size][/B]

"What was that?" The Chunin stood up.

"Sounded like someone fell into the basement..." Michiko sweatdropped. Suddenly, the door swung open and Ki stepped through, looking slightly dishevled.

"Wait... this isn't the exit..."

"Finally!" Michiko punched the air, "Someone here to rescue me!"

[Ayokano]

[COLOR=red][B][size=1]Ki:WHHHHATTTT!!!!!!!!It's not ture.....

[I]Michiko shook her head,and Ki looked at the smileing Chunin,with a sad face.He kicked the ground,as brown dust came up.[/I]

Ki:So...all of this was just a bigher test?

[I]He looked at the pair agine,and still got the same answer.He sat down on the bench,and let some air out.[/I]

Ki:Oh well....
Michiko:Don't get so sad,you get ot help me.^_^
Ki:-________-Yeah that's a big inprovement.....[/COLOR][/B][/size]

[COLOR=blue]Jiko quit trying to fit through the metal bars, it turns out his head was slightly too big...He watched as Ki found the exit by following his echoe, [I]Pretty dang smart, I wouldn't have thought of that....[/I]he thought silently, honoring Ki in his mind. Then had followed Ki around a corner and right through the trap door.

"AHHHHHHH!!!" There was a thump as Jiko landed on lots of soft pillows, a few yards away from Ki, who had already gotten up and was running amongst the pillows. Jiko tried to follow his example, but the pillows seemed to have it in for him. He started to run and promptly tripped on a pillow, concluding with him landing into them again. By now Ki had already reached the exit. There was a yell, but Jiko couldn't make out what was being said. Hurriedly Jiko got up and walked, picking his way out of the pillows. Finally away from them he broke out into a run, he couldn't see anything except the light where the exit was. Keeping his eyes transfixed on that light, Jiko made it to the exit and grabbing some shuriken he listened for some fighting sounds and when none came, Jiko slightly confused. Shaking his head, Jiko walked through the exit, to Miss Michiko, the chunin, and Ki sitting on benches.

"Uhhh....Did I miss something?"[/COLOR]

[Squall]

Vince walked down the hall towards the end of the maze. 'Reinforcing a trapped room.' His hair and some of his clothes were slightly burnt. 'Had I been thinking clearly, I would have been able to avoid it.' He reached the room to see others already there "Kidnapper, we have passed your rediculous maze so state your buiseness now or forever hold your peice."

[color=darkblue][size=1][i]Xion walked into the last room of the maze. He was still a little weary from his run, breathing in and out a little heavily.[/i]

Xion: We've got you now! Just try and get past us now!

[i]Xion put on a grin. He was happy because of two reasons, he finally caught up to the chunin, and Michiko was safe...[/i]

[i]The group got into a fighting stance, ready for anything.[/i]

Chunin: You'll have to get by me first to get her![/color][/size]

[Little Serenity]

"No stop!!" Michiko ran in between the Genin and the elite Ninja. Everyone still held their weapons at the ready.

"What are you doing?!" Ki yelled. "Get out of the way!"

"Please Miss Michiko, we must defeat him!" Xion readied his weapon.

"Finally some action!" Jiko grinned. "Move out of the way!"

"I won't! Being killed isn't in his contract!"

"WHAT?!!" All four genin yelled.

"That's right. I hired this Chunin, Kakashi-sensei, to kidnap me and take me through the maze. Just to light a fire underneath you."

Kakashi waved a little and winked, "You guys were good."

"That... was low..." Ki sighed.

"Yeah! I was getting ready to kill this guy!" Vince sat down in exasperation. "I knew something like this was going on..."

"So... that's why you actually screamed when he cut your throat, and why he told you to cover your face when he threw the blinding powder."

"Exactly. No harm was to come to me at all."

"Sorry about your throat..." Kakashi mumbled.

"It's alright. The bleeding's stopped. Well," Michiko sat down. "Now all we have to do is wait for the rest of the Genin to come out of the maze...."

[color=darkblue][size=1][i]Xion was in complete surprise. 'So, this was all just a test?' he said to himself. He laughed a little, Michiko was going to be alright...[/i]

Xion: That was fun!

Jiko: Yeah, too bad we couldn't have had some action though...

Xion: For shame...[/color][/size]

[Geist]

[COLOR=blue]
[I]Kisho stepped into the room and set down his weapons. He looked at the smiling Genin.[/I]
"So, the test is over then?" [I]He asked.[/I]
"You guessed it too, huh?"
[I]Kisho nodded and looked over at Michiko.[/I]
"We passed didn't we? When does this 'mission' start?"

[B]OOC: Sorry. I'm busy right now.[/B]

[Squall]

"This was very reckless of you. What if we had killed him during the maze? Would that be just a job hazurd? If this wasn't a real kidanpping, the killer would be sentenced to murder. Decisions like that are the reason of hell in the world." Vince sheathed his sword and leaned up against the wall. "That's a little harsh, don't you think?" The contracted chunin asked him. Vince didn't respond, he closed his eyes and waited for something to happen.

[Little Serenity]

Michiko felt Vince's words sting her. She didn't think that anyone would be able to kill Kakashi, and neither had he. She suddenly regained her disposition.

"Your name is Vince, right?"

"Yeah, what of it?"

"I don't think you have the right to talk to me like that, Vince. I am your employer, not your child or your peer. Treat me with respect."

"Well, then, I'm outta here."

"You can't leave. By getting through the maze, you have signed your contract. I'm sure that your country would be ashamed if you didn't live up to your agreement." Vince gritted his teeth in hatred at Michiko. She smiled smugly at him.

"So... enough of this catfight," Xion sighed. "When does this start?"

"Moko will show you to your rooms. Tomorrow we head out, everyone." She eyed Vince. "Kakashi, we will discuss your pay back in my office." She exited with him.

"That Vince guy probably hates your guts right now."

"Hmph. I don't care. He has no right to talk to me like that! Plus, you knew the danger involved."

"It was practically non existant. I doubt that one of them could have killed me." They walked in silence for a few moments, "So, are you going to apologize for that outburst to Vince?"

"Why should I? I am his employer, he is my employee now."

"Well, hopefully you'll feel different sooner or later. I was hoping that you would look more upon this as... a friend helping a friend."

Michiko snorted, "Right. You just keep talking like that."

[Squall]

Where did everybody go?

'My employer is head strong and abusive of her power. I have a bad feeling about this.' Vince thought as he was lead down the hall by Moko. 'Of course, it was not my place in any regards to make her knowledgable of her actions.' He gave a small hidden sigh as the assistant turned a corner. ?To use the shame of of my country to please her will. I disregarded my country years ago.? Moko turned a corner and into a dead end. Jiko walked forward. ?Are you lost?? Moko scowled. ?No! I just? wanted to check on something.? Groans ran through the group as Vince walked down a different hall in hopes to find someone who knew where they were, or at least was?nt so head strong about it that they had to lie.
