Rain
Oh, finally, an OBer from WA! Yes, I live in Perth. Actually, I was in Bunbury over the weekend, visiting my aunt. I suppose you don't happen to be Greek? lol. And there are several Aussie OBers. There's a whole group of them somewhere in Queensland.
Ravenstorture
And I am one of them... Actually, all but two I know of in Queensland go to the same school - Downlands, Toowoomba. They are Liamc2 (the founder, he got us all hooked when he did an assignment on the boards), I was number two, along with Cloricus, then there was The Harlequin, and then in no particular order, Jesus Chicken, Lady Asphyxia, Dragonflame (who has moved and stopped posting), Saide, The Unholy Newt, Marbar, Lilac Oranges, Butterfly, Enigma and.... mmm.... oh, yes, Arbalester, the newest of the bunch. I think the only serious, every week posters are Liamc2, The Harlequin, Cloricus, Jesus Chicken, Lady Asphyxia and of course myself, Ravenstorture. Of all people mentioned, we are all in year 11 at highschool except for Saide and Lady Asphyxia, who are in year 10.
Duo Maxwell
As far as I know I'm like the only Adelaide-ian here... so obviously I'm in SA.
Fall
I'm from Dubbo, New South Wales. I haven't met anyone from Dubbo who posts on OtakuBoards.
Ravenstorture
HA! Dubbo... that's nearly as bad as Toowoomba. Tell me, Fall, how do you think creative, witty, enjoyable people like us get stuck in places like these? I've been to Dubbo. It was a mistake. Why, oh why couldn't I have been born in Florence? Or Vienna? How about Prague, that doesn't sound too unreasonable does it? But rural Australia? I want to be a writer, not a wheatfarmer! I want to go to Cambrige, not Gatton Campus! Strange thing about Dubbo though... my mother and I went to Greece a while back, and we met an Aussie. She was from Dubbo. Well, I found it interesting because Dubbo is only a while away from Toowoomba, and I found it odd that a person from a town such as that would be in Greece. But if that was the case, what were we doing there? Sorry to pay out Dubbo if you have some kind of affection for it, Fall. I know it has it's strong points... actually, I'm looking it up now and realising I had a wrong impression of it in the beginning... But I hate my town. I hate all backwater Australian towns. I've been to Sydney, and it's not that bad, but as soon as I've got a degree on my back, I'm outta here. Will miss the Hills Hoist, though. Man, if that ain't the finest mode of transport ever invented... well, call me an empty tin of Spam.
The Harlequin
The Hills Hoist thing is a strange joke between Raven and I... I also believe Kendall (from year 10) signed up with a few of his idiot friends, though I'm quite certain they got banned, and I believe someone else from year 11 showed up, Lydia I think. Can't remember.
Baron Samedi
i am not sure if this will go stupid again- i have already typed one up, but it did not appear- so 1.- I am not Greek 2.-Sydney is pretty cool i agree 3.-i actually live in Bridgetown- which is an hour's drive south of Bunbury- i put Bunbury because it is more likely they would of heard of Bunbury than Bridgetown. 4.-You people from Dubbo- do you know a Matt- cant remember his last name. i think he is in year ten- he is younger than 15, but he is tall, and went to the ozspell competition this school holidays....if you know him that would be strange.... Fall
Matt Taylor? Matt Scales? Dude... there's a heap of "Matt"s in Year 10, younger than 15.. I don't know if any of them went to an OzSpell thing though.. All my family is in Dubbo. My father's side, his parents, were always moving around in the Dubbo area, as his father was a sleeper cutter for the railways. Dad took after him, of course, so they were still moving around to towns like Mendoran, Narromine, Guerie, Galargahmbone, Gilgandra, Briwarrina.. till about 10 years ago, when dad's father retired, and they settled in Dubbo. Mum's side, her parents, are from Italy, so most of her family are Italian, her brother/s, sister/s, herself too. Though most of them are also all in Dubbo, except for a, or her only, brother and sister, who live in Merrygoin. Funny how all my family, despite its origins, are based in Dubbo. It's a shithole of a place if you ask me, I could live under a rock and make it better tha living here, though it's where I was born, so be it. Damn. enigma
Did someone mention my name before, my ears are burning. It hurts so much. Does anyone around hear live in Wollongong in NSW? I seem to be the only person to have been born there and many people haven't even heard of the city. Yes, CITY. It's not just a little town like Toowoomba, but a rather large, Brisbane like city(I think). Most of my family lives in Wollongong and Newcastle, but I am yet to find someone who was born or still lives there.
liamc2
Yeah, you left out shagadelic (Lydia) and Avaris (Jess). I'm quite proud of my little herd of Toowoomba OB'ers. *dons Shepherd robe and holds a Shepherd's crook* ^_^; And yes, I am the aforementioned Liam. *bows* ~~ Hey, I remember that assigment. That was sweet, I managed to bludge on OB in class for ages and claim it was research for my assignment, lol. Worked for a while too, before the Librarians cottoned on to my dastardly scheme. Muhahaha and whatnot. ^_^

It's actually quite bigger than I used to think it was. The surroundings in Wollongong look more like an urban megacity than anything else. Kind of what it looks like in Central Sydney. I only lived there for two years at the most. My dad had a job with Telstra, and was moved from Brewarrina to Wollongong to work. What a hectic lifestyle it is to live up there. The main reason I think this, is because of the nights in Wollongong. There's no peace and quiet at twelve midnight in that city, like the rural towns in Western New South Wales. It honestly took me a few months to get used to sleeping with what sounded like a freeway outsde my window. It had its advantages, alot, if compared to Dubbo. Amusement facitlities, just a few kilometers away, or down the road, anywhere really, was a great change to my life. Laser Maze, Skirmish Paintball- all these awesome activities I have no chance of trying out again here in Dubbo. I think I might move to Wollongong, or around there, when I've got the money and older, just for the entertainment.
James
Well, I'm from Melbourne (as most of you already know ~_^). So is Warlock -- in fact, he lives about fifteen minutes from my house! o_O; I don't think we have any other Otakuites from Melb though...which isn't any fun. It means we can't have a big Otaku get together down here. X_X
Ravenstorture
Well, it should be obvious why no one else lives in Melb, James. There is no such place. :tasty: Another reason why no one lives there is because you and Warlock do. Doesn't seem to strange now, does it? Heh? I go to Canberra a lot now. I might be able to drag my sorry behind to Melbourne... and maybe, just maybe, drag Harlequin's there as well. But we all know that the reason YOU live in Melbourne is because you don't WANT a big otaku get together! Yeah, don't give me that cross eyed look. If you ever find yourself heading north for a few days, even if only a bit, tell me and I'll laugh at you... I mean.... Seriously now, I am actually very interested in meeting you. But it would be well worthwhile coming up to Brisbane for a day... at least five of the fifteen of us could meet you there. And that other guy who lives in Brisbane... come on, you know who you are.... ...obviously...
Guest cloricus
Here we go again. My sign up date was 11-21-2001 and yours (raven) is 04-01-2002 now I'm sure you can do the maths, I'm still not sure why you insist on being the second to join anyway? (*Runs away with evil laugh! Too much caffeine to be serious! *Twitches* *) As for meeting James, I would be in that because you seem like an interesting person and the shock value would be good too. :p [edit - added] Enigma I don't think that city is the size of Brisbane or even close, Brisbane being the third largest city in au and all. :p

LostProphet
Alright, I copie....err, got the idea from another thread currently going....and since it's considered another country, I figured, what the heck I know there are quite a few Texans on here, myself and Vegitto4 being 2 of them. We're both from Plano, even went to the same school. I've graduated, while he's got another year....so, where ya'll from?

Baron Samedi
Fall??? it was Mathew Harris. that is the Matt i was talking about before. and really, it is only fair that all you Easterners fly over to W.A for the get together. because, you are too widely spaced over there. if you all come here- there is only one place to meet- Perth.. here. i will draw you a diagram... see? it all makes wonderful sense now doesnt it??? so simple. what a wonderful idea!. so it is settled then! the OB meet will be held in Perth!!!!!!!:toothy: ;) *****EDIT***** Picture comes out real bad. but you get the general idea of it. all the lines point to PERTH!!!! :) *****EDIT*****
Fall
Does he have a brother called Luke? If he does, I know Matt's brother. :) There's always Broome in Western Australia. :toothy: I love that place. We went there once before to see a relative of mum's, and when we left I missed it for ages. I wish Dubbo was like it. It's a bit hard though, seeing as Dubbo isn't even close to the coastline for New South Wales. -_-
Vegitto4
Yes, I am currently a Texan. Sadly, I did ....associate with Lost prophet. Just kiddin bro. Meh, I live in plano, just north of Dallas. Look me up if your in town. Dallas is very boring, nothing to do really. You can do everything in about......4 days. Thats all it takes. It's ok though, currently, as I'm typing this, I am in Montreal, visiting my friends family.

Vegitto4
Nope, but those are question threads. I hope that thi thread turns into a discussion about dallas. For example What things do you current inhabitants of dallas think are fun to do? I hear the clubs are alright, but other than that, there isn't much. 6flags, and hurricane harbour, then there is always.......nope, thats about it. Maybe some small arcade places and stuff. but for those that live there, whats fun to you?
