Okay, i'm a n00b, and I dont know if there has been a thread like this recently so bear with me here.....

Just say your favorite anime battle (duh) and why

Mine is the fight between EVA unit 01 and 02 late in Neon genesis evangelion because of the emotions going through Shinjis head, even if he does manage to stop the EVA, he will have to end up killing his friend the angel Kaworu.

There are many fights that i remeber. THe leader of the Saint Beasts against Yusuke Urameshi in Yu Yu Hakusho, SPike vs. Vicious in Cowboy Bebop, Knives vs. Vash in Trigun, Vash vs. Wolfwood in Trigun, SAi SAishi(the greatest gundam fighter ever) vs. Domon Kasshu both times in G Gundam, Gene Starwind vs. Sazuka (that was pretty funny)in Outlaw Star, AMuro Ray vs. Char Aznable in Chars Revenge, Cell vs. Teen Gohan in DBZ (that was Epic), there are far too many to write down. I have my fair share of memories.

But my favorite have to come down to the fight Sai Saishi vs. Domon Kasshu
at the finals in G Gundam. It was so Epic that i was amazed, not only was Sai my favorite character already. His cause was awsome and he never gave up. His arms where torn off and he kept on, and in a last move of desperation, went with his KAmikaze attack. Genious,*sniffle* pure genious.
And the One Between Vicious and Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop.
It was long, drawn out, bloody, and both me gave it all they could until Spike shot Vicious in the chest. Then the seen right after, *sniffle again* awsome."Bang...":excited:
My favorite battle was Jubei vs. Gemma from Ninja Scroll. Good fight. My next favorite has to be Kenada vs. Tetsuo
When Keneda first gets the Particle Cannon
From Akira. Next would have to be...The Mega Duece vs. Beck's Robot in Act 2 from Big-O. And those are my favorites.

Well, if you are going to have this thread, you have to give reasons why. Otherwise it will be considered a favorites thread and closed. Thought I would warn you ahead of time since two people have merely listed their favorite battles. *QA*

I tend to disagree; that fight, while being one of the most memerable, was also one of the shortest "final fights" I remember in an anime. Sure, it took a while for Spike to finally get to him, but the fight itself wasn't really long and drawn out. It was deffinitly one of my favorite fights, but probably not the.

I'd have to say either the fight between Spike and Vincent on the train in Knockin' on Heaven's Door, or Eva Unit 01 and Taji's rampaging Eva.

The fight between Spike and Vincent in the Bebop movie was absolutely fantastic.
I really liked the background music, and when Vincent grabbed Spike in the chest...whoah -- I was on the edge of my seat. ;)
It was kind of short, yes, but it really stands out in my mind whenever I think about that movie. That battle showed the potential of Vincent and just how deadly he really can be.

Another battle that can't be overlooked is
when Shinji was being beaten up by Taji's Eva, and Gendo turns on the autopilot. This was the first time we actually saw what the autopilot did, so that in itself was significant. All Shinji could do was sit there as his Eva totally went beserk on Taji, and from his eyes, he believed that Taji was dead. ><;
Anyway, I really found this to be one of my favorites because of how many emotions were stirred up while watching this. I was just sitting there with my mouth open, watching in horror as all of this was taking place, and I think that is the mark of an epic battle. ;)

I have to agree with Sky and say the fight scenes between Spike and Vincent were some of the best ever animated.
I also really liked the Saito/Kenshin fight at the dojo. Its crisp animation, and fast paced action also makes it one of the best.

But thats just my opinion.:D

Sky...okay, we get the joke! I know Syk and Sky look similar. -__-

I should also mention that you have 2 images in your signature right now; one of them should be removed. :) Thanks!

As much as I love Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, and Trigun I think that the best battle or fight has to be Goku vs. Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga. It is just such a cool fight to watch over and over again. I think I liked it so much because the villian is such a likeable, enjoyable charecter...he contrasts Goku so well. And the fighting is actually decently drawn.

I think the Best Combat seen for me has to be a Tie with the fights between Alucard and Anderson (the 2nd one) , and Alucard VS Incogneato (sp?)

The Reasons

Alucard V.S. Alexander Anderson: Well this is like a no brainer i love this fight becaues we c more of the kick butt preist Anderson and with his cool flash back seen to were it looks like he first fought Alucard not to mention he came chargening at Alucard with on of his swords in his mouth. An With Alucard u have the cool seen were his bodt melts then breaks into the huge swarm of bats and reasembles himself and goes bout putting sliver in Anderson.

Alucard V.S. Incogneato: This the best combat seen it the whole sires becaues we fianlly c another true undead vampire with kick butt powers and who also fight for a human master. But we get to c Alucard at full power with no restriction. and that cool lighting seen.
I think I liked it so much because the villian is such a likeable, enjoyable charecter...he contrasts Goku so well.
Haha, that was clever. I actually had to read that twice to get it. :)

I can't think of a #1, clear-cut favorite, but I will list my three favorites. First, in Naruto, I would have to say the fight with Kakashi and Zabuza,
the first time, as well as at the bridge
merited watching twice. Second, the fight with Naruto and
Haku. Haha, that was freakin' awesome after Sasuke fell: the moment to be floored was when Naruto exclaimed, "I'll rip you apart!" which was even before the real fight started
. You knew, with just the advent of this fight, you wouldn't be disappointed. As for Kakashi and Zabuza - Kakashi's cool, so there's really no need for explanations, are there? :)

Lastly, I loved the scene in Noir when Kirika gets
two guns. Haha, you see what she's capable of with just one gun, so you knew the enemy assasins were screwed when she got a second.
Noir was getting their butts kicked, and you had to wonder how they would win against
a group that existed 1000 years more than themselves. Also, I loved how the enemy thought they had everything figured out about Noir, only to have a third cog thrown into the fray.
EDIT: Oh, and I know I said only top three, but I also wanted to mention the scene where Kirika asks for popcorn. That was golden. You have to wonder why someone would ask for popcorn at such a time, especially when Mirielle was just joking when she made the offer.

I guess I'm being biased since these two animes are currently my top 3 favorites, so they probably eclipse the other animes in my memory. :whoops: I have to say that DBZ's fight scenes were awesome, but only the Gohan and Buu fight stays memorable in my head.

I wouldn't call it a fight but when yusuke has these emotional episodes like when genkai (like I said anime names can be weird)dies his eyes are pure blue he tears up taguro's hand yes those at times are better than fight wich yu yu hakusho is based upon.

I really liked the fight between Spike Speigel and Vincent Velaju in Cowboy Bebop:Knockin on Heaven's Door. Lots of hand to hand combat, although it would have been better if Spike was the one to finish off Vincent in the end.

And Goku's fight with Master Roshi(Jackie Chun) during the World Martial Arts tournament in Dragon Ball. That was crazy when Goku transformed and Master Roshi blew up the moon. And I loved how it ended with neither fighter having enough energy for energy attacks and Goku fell down right at the last second giving Roshi the win.

Also the fight between Kenshin Himura and Aoshi Shinomori. That fight was awesome. Aoshi's after image deal was really cool as was Kenshin's using the sheath of his sword to block the attack that followed.

Those are three of my favorite anime battles(that is all I can think of right now).

Hmmm fight scenes.... listed in no paticular order.

1.Outlaw Star: The very first time Gene came in Grappler Combat with his ship the Outlaw Star faced up against the MacDougall brothers (Ron and Harry) ship the El Darado. Reasons, just because it was the best grappler combat scene I've seen in the series. Plus I can watch it over and over again since I have the boxset.

2.Outlaw Star: The duel between Leilong and Gene Starwind. After the entire massacre that had happened before the decision of the face off it was very much a favorable scene. One of the better duel scenes I've seen in a long, well from most animes.

3.Cowboy Bebop, Knocking on Heavens Door: Vicent and Spike the final fight between them on the tower. Very good, a lot of hand to hand combat for that matter (more then I can say for dbz... half the time). I was pretty much gawking at the scene because it kicked major but.
When Vincent had the gun to Spikes head, I could of sworn he was going to shoot him and end it all...
But that?s not how things like that work so I should of known better.
Oh well great fight scene anyways.

Can't think of any more right now (more like I don't want to think of anymore). But yeah some other mentionable series. The Guyver and Street Fighter
