SadClown
I think I've mentioned a couple times in some of my other posts about a series called Chojin Locke "Locke the Superman" and I was wondering if anyone else has heard of it. It's a very old series that started in the 70's and has carried on untill now, outliving three publishers. The series is one of, if not the, first of the "People with Psychic Powers" genre. The story follows Locke, an ESPer (Es-per), who is forever young and chronicles his life as he interacts with the ever-changing galaxy; fighting wars, partacking in espionage and ultimetely shaping the future with his actions. The series began as a manga by Yuki Hijiri and is has been out of print for some time, save on recent repinting in 2000. From there, it spawned three movies based on Story Arcs from the manga: "Millenium of a Witch" (Mahou no Sekai) was released in 1984 and has been the only thing of Locke to ever be dubbed into English and can be ordered over the internet from most movie websites. I HIGHLY recommend it to those who are fans of 80's all-hand-drawn animation or those who love action/psychic powers/drama. The other two movies, "Lord Lion" and "Eternal Cammando" are not available anywhere. There are also a VERY LIMITED number of webistes available for the series, and none of which are updated at all anymore. Point of Interst: Gokuu definetly got his hair from Locke!!! On a side note, if anyone ever comes across any of the manga, please let me know, I've been looking for volumes 3-4.
Guest Jack Hallin
I, too, have heard of Locke. I purchased a 1980's "Just for Kids" version of the video in a 'Fred's' when I was 6. I also have 'Space Warriors' circa 1994. Where did you get the manga? I want to find copies (Japanese even) but hardly anyone knows who Locke is. Any suggestions?
